Few minutes later, Mr. Ola walked in with the very long fat cane he always carried about. "Who is it?" he asked in his tiny voice. We all wanted to laugh, but we were holding it hard. We knew we were in big trouble. Mr. Ola might have been fat and round, and might have found it difficult to carry himself, but his strokes were unchestable. I've chested it once though, but Joseph has all of the time . I think he uses jazz.

She pointed her right chubby index finger to Ebuka. "I'd love to explain sir," Joseph said as Mr. Ola was about to tell Ebuka to come out. Joseph was our class saviour, he was every teachers' picture perfect student. Perfect grades, with perfect behaviour. I could vouch for the grades, but couldn't for behaviour.

"Oh Joseph, you're here. Oya explain oh." Ngozi placed her hands across her chest as she squeezed her face, she knew she had lost.

"Sir it's nothing oh. Esse and I were talking about a book website. That's how Ngozi just put her mouth, and said that she almost puked reading books? I didn't like the fact that she interfered in what didn't concern her, so I simply told her to go back to her seat and mind her business. That's how she just got angry for no specific reason, and stormed out of the class."

Mr

. Ola nodded to his explanation. We all knew it was a lie, but no one wanted to face Mr. Ola's lashes and Joseph's wrath. "Ngozi, go and seat down. You don't know how to read to pass, but you know how to do amebo and report. Abeg, don't come and disturb me again oh. I'd punish you." With that he walked out. The whole class busted into laughter again; one, because of Mr. Ola's voice and two, because of Ngozi's plight.

"Chai. Your stupidity is at its peak oh! You went to report, knowing Joseph is part? Ode," Johnson abused her again, as she made her way to her seat. Her head was red, she was angry but she could do nothing.

"Her mumu-ness have reach wavy level," John said with a serious face again. Making everyone to laugh harder.

I was holding my stomach already when, "That's enough!" came from Joseph as Ebuka was about to abuse her his own, and the class became dead silent. Except for the chit-chat that was coming from a group of girls. I turned to see who the halters were, only for me to be jammed with one of the most shocking sight of my life. Dammy, Amarachi, Ebun, and Nimi were chatting animatedly. I thought they knew I hated that girl? Argh! Friends. So they left me to go and chat with my enemy?

Grrhh!

The bell went off, as the time keeper shouted, "Closing Time". The SS1 students ran out, and set off to the dining hall, like they hadn't eaten their entire life. We had our midday snack few minutes ago, I wonder how they manage to be so hungry all the time; especially the boys.

I grabbed my light brown purse from under my desk, and made my way to the door, but I was stopped by Amarachi. "You'd leave without us?" she asked a little surprised. I rolled my eyes, and tried to pass by her, but she blocked me again. "What did we do?" She crossed her hands on her chest with her legs apart, so she could block me from every escape route.

I huffed. "You were talking to my enemy, and you expect me to not be mad?"

Dammy started laughing, making me to turn around. I hadn't noticed her arrival. "She's not your enemy. You hate her, it's not her that hate you. And the funny part is, she doesn't even hate you at all," she said, placing a hand on my shoulder. And that's the painful part, the fact that she don't hate me back.

"I started talking to her at summer school, she isn't bad at all. She's a pretty nice girl, who doesn't even know how to hate." I huffed. "I'm dead serious. And she's also damn funny." I rolled my eyes again, as Amarachi continued her preaching. "You should prolly talk to her someday, then you'd believe me."

"I concur!" Dammy shouted, making me smile. She had this cute vibe she sent off, which made people around her equally as happy as she was.

"Abeg carry una girls palava and go and solve in another place, I have no time to waste. It's beans and plantain oh, if I miss it ehn! This class won't contain four of us again," Matthew angrily complained. We all hissed and turned away, as we made our way out of the class and straight to the dining hall. But before we left, I caught a glimpse of Joseph looking at our direction, and smiling like a child that got a phone filled with games. I smiled to myself, he's noticing me.

Every building in my school, was linked by two paths. The hostel was linked to the health bay, which was linked to the junior school building, the junior school building was linked to the junior dining hall, which was linked to the main auditorium, the main auditorium was linked to the senior dining hall, which was linked to the senior school building; all by a path. These buildings formed an arc, while a fountain stood in the middle of the school compound. The second path started from the girls hostel, which cuts across the wine gigantic gate to the senior school compound.

In no time at all, we got to the dining hall. Most students were already seated when we got there, it made it very uncomfortable for me as we entered the dining hall. Dammy, Amarachi, and I walked to our table, which was at the far end of the hall; and took our seats. We were waiting for the cooks to bring out the coolers, so each table would go and pick theirs, but they were taking time. That was when it dawned on me, it was rearrangement day. Damn!

We were all seated at our different table, when the most misunderstanding teacher, Mr. Jerry walked in to do his sectional dining rearrangement. He never understands a matter, no matter how much you explain it to him. Every section, we were rearrange table by table. I hated it so much. I was already accustomed to my new table mates, and new ones would only suck. They wouldn't know how things run, what I liked and what I didn't. I also didn't want to be put in the same table with pigs, like commercial girls. I hated those girls, and that was Ebun class. "Esse Bassey," I was brought out of my thought by Mr. Jerry's annoying voice. Pfft. "And lastly Ebun Jimoh." What? Ebun? On my table? DAMN IT! "Table leader is Ebun." What?! But I'm always the table leader! Argh! Worst Session Ever!
