“You should put on this dress.”
Cleo had after lots of arguments allowed her mum help her choose a dress. This was supposed to be a family dinner and her mum is making a fuss about what to wear.
“Mum, is this not a family dinner, who am I dressing up for?”
“Is it a crime to look good? We’ve not had a family dinner for like four years”
“Three years mum.”
“Whatever. Here, use this wig.”
“Mum! No. I am good with the one I have on.”
“No, you are not. The Nebolisa’s will soon be here. I want you being at your best.”
“I don’t know them.”
“Everything has a first day. Be down stairs in ten minutes.”
Nebolisa! That sounded synonymous to someone. She remembered she had heard that name somewhere but she was not certain where.
Few minutes later she walked to the dining room. She was shocked to see Jason. Throughout dinner, both mothers tried to match make the innocent duo.

. Finally, the two; Jason and Cleo were left alone in the dining room.
“It’s obvious our mothers want us to marry” Jason said breaking the silence.
“I never remember you being Nebolisa.”
“I changed my surname in secondary school to David, it sounded better.”
“I knew that name “Nebolisa” rang a bell.”
“You look stunning.” Jason said changing the topic.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming to my family house?”
“Last I checked, you do not leave here.”
“I see.”
“What do you say about our mothers’ proposal?”
“What proposal?” Cleo said feigning ignorance.
“Marriage proposal.”
“Stop dreaming.” Cleo said. She dropped her glass and headed for her room. Her mum was so not nice!

Ada was worried sick. Tunde was supposed to meet her at the restaurant. He was an hour late already. Her thoughts ran to what Chioma had told her that evening when she visited.
“That your guy Tunde na corret Yoruba demon.” Chioma said
“How do you mean?” Ada asked.
“He is always after anything on skirt. The way he changes girls like wrapper eh, kai. You are trying oh.”
“Not my Tunde. You must be mistaking.”
Ada had made up her mind to have no third party in her relationship. Except for Tunde, as much as their relationship was concerned, every other thing is background noise.
She checked her phone, it was 7:50pm, she stopped a cab and headed home.
