Bola looked at the big clock on the wall,it was 2:45am already. They had stayed in the hospital waiting to be informed about Sarah's condition. The doctor returned some minutes later and told them he needed to see Sarah's parents. Bola jumped up after hearing what the doctor had just said.
“Doctor,is she dead?" Bola asked in tears.
“No dear,she is alive but in coma. I have to see her parents. She has been bleeding severely, I thought the bleeding had stopped this morning,only to get back to her and discovered she had started bleeding again. If the bleeding persist,we would have to carry out hysterectomy." The doctor said.
“You mean you will remove her womb? ” James asked.
“Yes,and that's why we need her parents urgently." the doctor answered and left them to go attend to another patient.
Bola knew Mrs Mercy to be Sarah's mother,so she asked one of the nurses if she could use their telephone to call Sarah's parents. There was nothing like smart phone in Nigeria back then,it was the year 1993. Bola couldn't reach Mrs Mercy on the telephone so she decided to quickly send her a letter. She also informed the school about Sarah's condition. Mrs Mercy couldn't make it to the city that day so she came the following day

. After hearing about Sarah's condition, she was moved to tears.
“What has she ever done to deserve this?" She thought.
She told the doctor she would not allow Sarah's womb be removed.
“Doctor please just keep taking care of her,don't worry about the bleeding, it will stop. Mrs Mercy said with faith.
“But madam, this is not a minor case. If we don't do this now,we might loss her." The doctor said.
Mrs Mercy was bent on her decision, she was ready to held responsible for whatever happens to Sarah. She told the doctor there is nothing too hard for God to do.
Mrs Mercy was a true Christian, she wasn't someone who believed in religion but in Christ. She had seen God move mightily in tough situations as this. One of such situations was when her husband was diagnosed with liver disease. The doctor had told her he had just three months to live but after her fasting and prayer,her husband was healed and whole again and the doctor couldn't find anything faulty with his health again.
Mrs Mercy returned to the village and informed her husband about Sarah's condition. They started fasting and prayer the next day. Mrs Mercy thought it would be better if she informed Sarah's parents about her condition. She went to David's house and informed him and Maigret about their daughter's state of health.
“I don't care about what happens to her,she is already dead to me since she left my house." David said angrily.
Maigret told Mrs Mercy she knew Sarah was a possessed child.
“Her cult members have come to get her." Maigret said.
Mrs Mercy was speechless. Sarah's parents were so heartless. She got home and was telling her husband about her visit to Sarah's parents when someone came with a message from the hospital. It says she was needed urgently at the hospital.
