An Arranged Marriage - Episode 32

Two days later.

I'm getting that when the Kings put their mind to something they get it done as soon as they possibly can.

This is a given, seeing that I'm a right now standing in my bedroom, in a long flowy wedding gown, with its long train, deeply cut back and pearls sewn into the hem.

It's satin and its perfect.

It also cost the amount of my house.

I know, I checked.

The last two days have been anything but hetic, yes,thats not a sentence a bride should be saying but I'm correct.

I'm for real.

Linda has been like my fairy godmother.

She handled everything, all I had to do was nod and say what I like and what I didn't.

Believe me, it was hard to see anything I didn't like.

We are getting married in my sitting room, yes, pick your jaw up from the ground.

When Kane got the gist that I didn't want an expensive wedding or one where I had to face the media or a large crowd, he had told Linda to work with it.

The man believes I hung the moon, based on the fact that anything I say seems to be law..

Linda had brought in a decoration team last night while I slept and I legit thought that my sitting room was paradise after they were done.

She procured my gown when I finally choosed and she had procured my sisters own too, seeing as she owns a fashion line, it wasn't that hard.

I'm very grateful to her.

Cash has only brought a few selected papz to take pictures, a judge and a priest are downstairs right now, waiting to wed me.

And here I am, in my room, a nervous mess.

"What do you think dear?" Petr the designer and makeup artist Linda had curry a favor from asks and I smile, nodding, I look like a princess.

"You look like a princess" Linda says and i smile again at her, trying to make sure she doesn't see the nerves in my eyes.

I'm so scared.

I'm having thoughts.

I turn to my sisters, they've taken posts by the bed, watching the proceedings, they look as stunned as I feel.

Are they scared?

What are they thinking?

I'm scared that I have to leave them alone, but I will try, try to come see them every free chance I get.

"Could you give us a moment?" I ask Linda and petr and the numerous assistants scattered around my little room.

Petr snaps a finger and the girls file out.

Linda nods, smiling at me.

When the room is silent I turn to my sisters.

"You don't have to do this you know, we don't care what is inside that box, we've been living fine without it and we will continue that way" Aroos says and I blink against the sudden rush of tears.

I know the box means a lot to them, it means a lot to me, I will do everything to protect it..

"If you don't really like this guy you don't have to..." Aroofa starts.

"I like him" I say quickly, too quickly.

Anaya is strangely quiet, aloof, removed, she doesn't care what I do with my life, we are back to her hating me.

"But this.. This is rushed" Aroos says.

"We can burst you out you know? Tell him you changed your mind" Aroofa says and I find it in me to smile.

"I wanna do this"

"Is he going to make you sign a prenuptial?"

"He should" I say but continue.

. "He won't, we discussed this, he trusts me with his money"

"At least that's a plus on his side" Aroos mutters and I'm glad that my sisters are not blinded by wealth or anything, they love me.

"Are you going to do it?" Aroofa asks.

"We are here aren't we?"I ask In return.

" You know, he asked us to come leave with you guys "Aroofa says quietly.

" What? "I whisper, not quite believing my ears.

"He says he sees that you will take the hit of us being separated so he wanted us to think about coming to the house on the hill, and to be with you" Aroos says.

My stomach warms.

"What.. What.. What did you say?" I whisper, my voice breaking, I'm trying, trying not to sway them with my emotions, if they want to come they should, if they don't want to, then it's fine, although I will die a little inside for every minute I'm separated from them. 

"We said yes, we packed when you went to get your gown yesterday" Aroofa says and my eyes go to Anaya in silent question.

"Yes, even Anaya" Aroofa says and the tears I'm trying to hold at bay spills, I sob.

"I guessed that I should be with you, this two can't do shit to protect you, you are too weak to protect yourself, so I decided to come with" Anaya says and I sob again.

"Thank you" I whisper.

"Whats there to thank? I wil be living in a mansion and be eating good food, if you ask me i got the better side of the bargain, I don't even have to marry anyone" She says and a sob mixes with a laugh, spilling out of my throat, she smiles at me.

"Linda's going to kill you, your mascara is running" Aroofa whispers and I smile. She stands to go get Linda and as I seat the pressure in my stomach lessens.

What ever doubt I had before were gone, he  knew I would feel sad without my sister so he got them to come with me.

Two days ago I hadnt really given myself to him, but sitting on this chair, waiting for Linda and thinking about my sisters, I feel myself give myself to him, totally, wholely.

Linda gasps as she enters the room, getting a look at my face.

"I'm going to die of hypertension before the end of today" She says and I laugh, as I do a tear rolls out of my eye, she looked like she would faint.

"I do" He says and I watch his lip form that sentence, Cash procures a ring from his pocket and hands it to him, he lifts up my hand before sliding the plain gold wedding band on and an engagement ring.

My eyes fly to him.

He's not looking at me, he's looking at the ring as it slides onto my finger.

It's a beautiful ring, the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen, emerald cut and almost pure white diamond, it's looks like a dream.

My lips tremble when he lifts his head to say his personal vows.

"Through fire, Through water, Through time, I will go to find you and keep you" He says and the Vow is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard, I sob, he tilts his head, I sob again.

"You may kiss your bride" The priests says and Kane steps forward to meld our lips together, this kiss is a promise of things to come, his hands tangle in my hair and he tilts my face, all in a bid to get more of me.

I've waited for this moment so long.

"If you ruin her hair I will kill you" A voice, Linda's, hisses from the back and I hear Cash tell her to shut the fuck up.

Kane lifts his head and I blink.

"Hello, Mrs King"
