Aanu got to the headquarters of Aanu holdings fuming, and snapping at her bewildered chauffeur,

"I'd only be a minute park at the entrance.

"Yes ma'am." He opened the car door for her, bowing in the process

Her phone rang, "Ekaasan Ma,alafia lawa,ohh??? you tried his number but he wasn't picking? I will let him know he has been a little busy lately, okay ma. Will send you some money later in the day for the operation, Amin Amin ma, alright,odaabo ma." 

She muted her phone, dropping it inside her bag,she kept walking, removing her sunshade, a pretty receptionist welcomed her, collecting her bag,

"Good afternoon ma."

"Afternoon Ayo, how are you?"

"I'm fine thank you Ma, you don't look to well ma, is all well?"

Aanu smiled halfheartedly, "No worries dear go to work, I can manage from here." she collected her bag,

"oh.. Alright ma."

Aanu pressed forward, stepping into the Executive hall, her husband's PA Boye welcomed her, "You're welcome Ma."

"Boye bawo, i thought you guys were still in the moon ni? how's lanke?" Aanu inquired 

"she's fine ma, thanks for everything ma." Boye said bowing

Aanu smiled, "Oluwa seun. Is he on seat?"

"Yes he is, but he's got some guests." Boye said

Aanu nodded, stepping into her husband's office.

Wole dropped his pen looking at his wife, "Aanu what is the meaning of this? i am in the midst of an executive meeting,you know the rules."

"oh do i darling husband? disperse this meeting right now, or you would not like what's gonna happen the next minute." Aanu warned

Wole who knew first hand what his wife was capable of doing quickly apologized to the guests setting a new date for the commencement of the meeting.

He came over to where his wife was sitting fuming and shaking her legs.

. "Aanu what is it? why are you this distressed? I thought you told me you were going to visit your son?? who got you this upset tell me." Wole asked

Aanu stood up towering over her husband, "What is this story i hear about thirty-two million dollars that was stolen from boda oju? Darling, you wouldn't do that right?"

Wole was dumbfounded,he loosened his necktie, "Darling where did you get such absurd information from? That's a lie. I never knew Oju had that much with him, believe me darling."

Aanu looked him, "And the company?You told me Aunty Wonu signed her shares over to you right?"

"Aaaanu,why all this questions, i told you all about it before." Wole said frustratedly 

"Wole tell me again. I'm not joking." Aanu asked 

"yes Wonu signed over her shares to me. "Wole said,trying to draw his wife to face him. "Aanu,kilode? Why all this questions, you know anything i did in the past was for you and our son."

Aanu faced him, "Anything like what? wole tell me, what did you do in the past? wole look at me, i am talking to you, what did you do in the past?"

Wole scratched his jaw looking at his feet, "I'm sorry."

"Look at my face and tell me why you're sorry." Aanu countered

"I stole the money." wole admitted

Aanu covered her mouth staring at her husband, "Oh my God, you did what?"

"Aanu please listen to me,all i did was for you and our son, please believe me baby." wole pleaded trying to hold her hand 

Aanu raised her finger, glaring at her husband, "Don't you dare pin this on me and my son!! Ahh wole, ika ni e, you stabbed your friend in the back!! How could you, I've been spending cursed money!!! an accomplice in your crime, you this man.. You stole from your friend, wole, your friend!!" Aanu swiped at her tears pulling away wole's hands as he knelt before her grabbing her dress. 

"Aanu please, i'm sorry, it was greed, i didn't know what i was doing, i couldn't even help my own fr...." it was out before he could take the words back. 

"wait a minute, you where there when boda oju had his final attack and you didn't help him? Wole is that what you're saying."

"Aanu, it wasn't like that at all he was already dead when i got to his office, i didn't.."

Aanu laughed bitterly, "so you took his money and ran? ahh,aiye mi, wole you're a disgrace!! How could you!! and afterwards you stole their company didn't you? Oh God, I've been so stupid. Ahh, boda oju please forgive me, I've turned a blind eye to the injustice done to you." Aanu cried,

"Baby please i said I'm sorry. Let's leave the past behind us. No one has to know about this... 

Aanu screamed, "Nobody has to know right, what about your creator Wole? do you think all you've done is hidden to him? I won't be a party to your foolishness, when the doom looming over your head falls i won't be here to pick up the pieces. I'm filling for a divorce."Aanu concluded, picking up her bag. 

Wole ran after her, blocking her path, "Aanu you can't do this,we have come through so much together,I..i love you.!!" wole pleaded

Aanu snorted, pushing wole away from her path, "Watch me... You will hear from my lawyer." She said pausing to clean her face with an kerchief, when she was satisfied, she proceeded out of the office. 

"I'm done for!!" wole countered,rushing into his office to make a call.
