Anjola - Episode 22

Aanu tried calling Anjola back all to not avail, she left in a rush and got an uber driver that easily took her home.Bimpe took one look at her and knew all wasn't well, she tried asking what was wrong but Anjola wouldn't budge she kept crying and after awhile locked herself in the bathroom.

Bimpe knocked severally but she didn't open up, 

"Anjolami,what is the matter? If you don't talk to me who else do you want to confide in? Is Demilade alright? What happened over there?"

Silence

Bimpe sighed feeling anxious she went to the living room and called Busola ,Anjola's friend,

"Good afternoon ma," Busola greeted at the other end

"Busola bawo ni? Your friend is really getting me worried jare. "

"worried ke? What's up with her." Busola asked

Bimpe explained all that happened to Busola. 

"Ma,maybe i should come over then, i am sure she wouldn't want to talk about it on phone. I don't have Demi's number would have called to find out." Busola offered

Bimpe checked the wall clock, "But going back to Ijon from here is what I'm worried about dear... 

"Ahh don't worry Ma,i am on leave due to my wedding preparations, will be with you as soon as i can." Busola confided

"Okay,thank you o, will be expecting you dear." Bimpe concluded

What's all this now, Bimpe thought.

Demi settled back on the hospital bed with the help of his mother, Aanu stood before him looking pissed, he adjusted his reading glasses and looked up from his IPad screen,

"What again?" Demi asked

"Demilade, explain to me what just happened? Doctor Sola never mentioned amnesia and i know there's nothing wrong with your head, so what's with the stunt you just pulled,the poor girl left here virtually in tears!! Do you know what it must have took her to come see you?"

Demilade sighed,he actually felt bad doing that to Anjy, but seeing her had jolted him and he had wanted her to have a little taste of what he had been through since the day she threw back his ring at him

. He hadn't meant to hurt her by asking whom she was though, "Mom...Chillax..i know what i am doing,i had to jolt her a little,its like you don't know Anjola,she is very stubborn!! And her reaction just proved to me that she still care about me, anyways I've got it all planned and you will help me." Demi confided

"Help bawo? what are you planning you this boy...

Doctor Sola came over to check his vitals, he seemed  satisfied with his discovery and jotted on a note pad. "it seems to me that everything is in order.." Doctor Sola said as he kept jotting.

Demi sat up, "when do i get to leave this place Sola?"

Doctor Sola looked up raising a brow, "Tired of hospital food abi?"

"Your food over here sucks!!" Demi fired

Sola smiled, looking over at Aanu, "He can be discharged today Ma, but you have to promise me he won't over stress himself, no exertions and his medications must be taken promptly."

"Toh, Demilade hope you can hear what Sola has said, no exertions o..infact we are going home together, end of story. Thank you Sola." Aanu said 

"You're welcome Ma, let us know when you want to check out, so i  can let someone drop you home." Doctor Sola offered 

"Don't worry dear, my car is parked somewhere around here." Aanu assured

"Alright Ma, guy take care o, will call you later in the day." Doctor Sola assured

"Sharp Bro." Demi replied, they clasped each other's hands and Sola exited. 

Aanu sighed 

"What?"

"I just hope you know what you're doing, or you'll loose her forever." Aanu moaned 

Demilade smiled. "I don't think so Mom, she loves me."

"Ehn ehn, i can see you are alright now,we are going home right this minute!!" Aanu said

"My pleasure." said Demi, his eyes twinkling with mischief 

Aanu shook her head, "you this boy...whatever you have planned sha don't forget that Sola said no exertions, no exertions o Demilade." Aanu warned

Demi rested back picking up his iPad "That's why you're going to be there to help, won't you Mom?"

Aanu's and Demi's phone beeped, and Aanu frowned checking her phone, "sure..." she replied Demi absently "I want to use the ladies, give me some minutes." Aanu excused 

Demi smiled, "sure mom."

Aanu exited  the room and his smile died, he picked up his own phone and checked the new mail...
