(Light reveals Ade, a young farmer from Owu, Abeokuta, Celebrating with his wife and his two stewards. He made a huge sales from the crops he just harvested from his small farm.)
ADE : Boys, let's drink and celebrate the moment together. (All in the mood of celebration)
ENITAN : We thank God for the sales.
ADE : My tomato Jos, bring the roasted bushmeats for the boys.
JOY : Oko mi.
Olowo orí mi... (In Igbo tongue)
I'm coming.
ADIO : Oga Ade, more of this celebration. (All chorus Amen. Adio is slightly drunk.)
OLU : (Still in the mood of celebration, Olu gives a
simple knock on Ade's door) Is anybody home?
ADE : (Opening the door for Olu, his childhood friend that now stays in Lagos. Jumps at each other, so excited to see each other after so many years. Olu also exchange pleasantries with Joy and Ade's stewards.) Have your seat......(Olu sits)
JOY : How is family, sir?
OLU : (smiles) Family is fine.

. Please bring the roasted bushmeat for us.
Friend, let's go to the hut outside.
OLU : (At the hut) It seems you guys are celebrating
something?
ADE : Dear friend, Someone has to revel him or herself once in a while. (Chuckles) The sales I made from my harvest this time, settled all my debts and I still have enough.... I even paid my tithes. (laughs softly)
OLU : Sounds interesting pal.
Ade, there's more to life. That's one of the most
important thing that brought me to Owu; to
discuss with you.
ADE : I'm all ears, friend. (Anxious and nervous to hear
what he has to discuss)
OLU : Pal, to be a man is not easy....
ADE : Olu, Am trying....
OLU : I know you are, friend. But, people won't take "I'm trying" for an answer. Be successful by turning your weaknesses into strengths, make use of every opportunity that comes your way. (Ade sighs) Follow me to Lagos and come make cool cash.
ADE : I really want to come also but my pastor told me not to leave this farming that I'm doing, that I should be calm, patient and trust in the Lord.
OLU : Uhmm...
Everyday we need to ask ourselves : "Am I getting any closer to my purpose in life?" If the reply is Yes or No, Life will reward us in proportion of our contribution.
(Ade is short of words) Ade, you used to tell me how your wife shouts at you when you don't have any money to drop at home. How long you will have to hide from the people you are owing?. How long do you want to run for? Your Pastor may be right but you can sell the farm to one of your stewards, then come back buy it
with big money. My friend, the power, glory and respect that goes along with the acres of gold, is in our fist...
Think about it.....
ADE : (Soliloquizes) Hmmm... Acres of gold.
OLU : (He takes a swig from the bottle of palm wine and drops it.) Ade, tell your stewards to follow me to the car and pack the foodstuffs I brought for you, I want to get to my grandmother's place.
ADE : Okay. Thank you.... (Light gradually fades out)
