Behind You - Episode 12

Farah.

One week later

I was sitting on my desk, working on piles of files jawad....no Mr jawad dumped on me. The day i resumed work, I've been working like crazy. He's been giving me a lot of work, i know he's doing it intentionally to provoke me but i tried not to show my weakness. After what happened one week ago i decided to forget everything and focus on my work, i won't let him get to me.

Flashback

When i heard the loud bang, i literally ran to check hoping nothing happened but what i saw made my eyes widen in shock. There stood jawad with a Blondie kissing each other, the girl pinned against the wall moaning, the sound of the blonde moan making me feel disgusted.

A lone tear fell from my eyes, i quickly wipe it away. Be strong Farah. I know am not suppose to feel this way, he clearly told me his intentions about the marriage but still he should at least respect me as his wife.

"Get a room" i said. Jawad is shocked to see me, but he quickly changed his expression to anger, whereas the Blondie is glaring at me. Without waiting for jawad to say anything because i can clearly see he is about to say something, i left there not missing the anger on his face. 

End of flashback.

I was deep in thought that i didn't notice precious standing there.

"Oh Farah, what are you busy thinking, the phone has been ringing"

"Oh sorry, i quickly picked the call" my heart beating a million times.

"To my office right now" he said.

I stared at his office; breathing in and out you can do this Farah. I knocked and entered.

"You call for me sir" i said keeping a stern face.

"Are you dumb?" He shouted.

"I don't understand sir" i said in confusion.

"You want me to remind you about your work huh? You know that you're suppose to bring my coffee, but you are waiting for me to remind you" he bang his fist on the desk, that's when i realisation hit me shit.

"I'm sorry...sir, i will bring another...coffe...” I stuttered.

"Save you sorry, if you're not ready to work, the door is open you can walked out, there are many good people who are better than you

. And don't think your crocodile tears will work on me" that's when i realized the tears on my cheeks. I felt angry by his words how dare him.

"First of all am not dumb and you're the one that gave me too much work which made me forget about your coffee. You always try to insult me and i tried to endure it. I know this marriage means nothing to you but you should at least respect me as your wife, so now i know you don't have respect for women, which means...." 
I don't know what has gotten into me but i blurted everything out. 

Before i can continue, i feel myself been pushed to the wall with furious jawad, he held my arms tightly, inside am feeling the pain but i didn't let him know.

"Don't you dare talk to me like that, you don't know what am capable of doing" he inch closer, i can feel his breath on my face. I looked straight into his light brown eyes which are now turned to dark with anger.

"What will you do? Fire me?" A smirk form on my lips "no need for that because i quit. MR JAWAD ABDALLAH I QUIT" 

I pushed him and stormed out of the office. I didn't even bother to pack anything i just took my bag and left the building. 
He and his company should go to hell. I know his must be fuming with anger but i don't care.

Without wanting to go back to his so called house i decided to get some air to get my mind off the problem. I trekked to the park nearby and sat down on one of the benches. My life is going fine before, but the moment jawad came my life is becoming difficult. I was i deep thought when i heard a voice

"What is a pretty lady sitting here all alone doing?" I turned to the source of the voice, there stood a man, dressed in a pair of shirt and jeans, his black hair combed sideways with a smile on his face not like jawad always frowning why are you talking about him again.

"Just getting some fresh air" i replied turning my face towards a group of children playing. He sat next to me on the bench leaving some distance between us.

"Oh...that's nice" he passed me a bottle of cola; i looked at him in confusion.

"Don't worry, it’s not poisoned and i have another with me" he took another from his bag giving me the other.

"Thank you" i muttered. I didn't know why i took the cola, but the way i saw him told me he's harmless.

"So tell me what a gentleman like you doing roaming in the park?" I asked. He sighed.

"Actually am here to meet someone, but decided to take a stroll around to prepare myself myself from his wrath" he said.

"Boss? Father?" I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"No brother,  i was suppose to meet him in the morning but my flight got delayed, and he has anger issue so i have to prepared myself" he said in one breath.

"Rude just like my boss" i frowned.

"When he's angry, he scared the shit out of you." i said remembering jawad angry face. He laughed by my outburst showing his white teeth, i join him too. 

"Oh...by the way where are you working at" he asked tilting his head. I don't know why i feel comfortable talking to him.

"Ab..." Before i tell him, my phone vibrates from my bag. I checked the caller id it's precious.  Oh poor precious, she didn't know about my resignation.

"Hello Farah, where have you been I've been looking for you. The boss is throwing tantrum saying he need some file and i checked your desk i couldn't find it and the other drawer is locked" shit the key is with me.

"Give me ten minute am coming" i hung up.

"I need to go, thank you for the drink" i was about to go when he stopped me.

"Wait!" I turned.

"I forgot to ask your name" he said in a low voice.

"Farah"

"Nice meeting you Farah I’m Khalid" he said smiling showing his white teeth. I smiled back
