Behind You - Episode 39

2 months later

Farah

"Mrs Farah, here are the list of our latest product." Precious said politely placing the documents on my desk.

"Thank you, when I'm done i will let you know." I said giving her a smile.

"Okay Ma." She bowed a little and left.

This past two months had been a blessing to me and i must say Alhamdulillah. I've been moved from the secretary position am now the team leader of the department. I received a lot of love from jawad and the family. Thinking about jawad made a smile out of lips, he became a part of my life, i don't think i will be able to endure being apart from him. He's someone i can't leave without.

Leaving my office, i knocked on his office door.

"Come in." I heard his deep voice said. Gosh that voice.

"Hey wifey, missing me already." He said with a wink the moment he spot me entering his office.

"Yeah i miss you so so much." I said flatly copying his action. There is no need for being shy, we've become one already.

He left his seat and came towards me leading me to the couch. "How's our little baby doing." He placed his hands on my non visible stomach

. When jawad came to know about the pregnancy 2 weeks ago, he was beyond happy, he didn't let me lift a single thing saying i will hurt the baby. The family also are happy they are prayed for the child well being. Myrah also teases me to her heart content. She's in her last stage of giving birth.

"What happened? Are you okay." Jawad asked running his thumb on my cheeks, his face changes to worry.

"Calm down jawad, I'm fine am just thinking about how our lives changed so far." I placed my hands on his, which he's stroking my face with.

"I want you know that you're very important to me Farah, I'm so thankful to Allah for blessing me with a wife like you." He whispered staring directly into my eyes with so much love. I stared back into his. He's the man i fell  in love with, the father of my baby, my first love and the love of my life.

"I love you jawad." I whispered back, cupping his face i pulled him connecting his lips with mine. The kiss was slow yet it speak a lot of things, the love we have for each other, and all the things we went through. Placing me on his lap he deepened the kiss cupping my face. We sat at the position for what felt like hours until we finally ran out of breath. He lean his forehead on mine.

"I can't believe my wife has this courage or is it the pregnancy hormones?" He teased.

"What! Can't i say 'I love you' or kiss my husband?" I pouted faking anger.

He let out a chuckle. "That is not the case, I'm always the one that says it everyday and kiss you everyday so I'm a little surprised."

"Are you testing me Mr jawad." He leaned his face for another kiss, i circled my arms around his neck letting him in.

After we are done with office, we stopped by My house. It's been a while i visit them.

"Who do we have here today." Mom said with a cheerful smile.

"Assalam Alaikum." We both greeted.

"Wa Alaikum salam, it's so nice to see you again." She answered. "How's work jawad?" She added.

"Alhamdulillah." He answered.

We sat and chat not realizing we spent almost 2 hours.

"Goodnight drive slowly it's late." Mom said in her motherly tone.

"Insha Allah." Jawad answered. "Yasmin we will continue our talk next time." He said to Yasmin who has been grinning from ear to ear. I wonder what their talk is about.

When we came back we changed our work clothes and we are now in bed ready to sleep. I heard jawad sigh making me snapped my eyes towards him.

"Are you alright?" I asked raising my head from his chest.

"I'm okay." That's my problem with him he always try to assured himself everything is okay i know when something is on his mind.

"Jawad!"

"Farah it's nothing for you to worry about, I'm okay." He muttered.

"You're not okay jawad, i know when something is bothering you tell me please." I whispered showing him my puppy face. He inhale a sharp breath. "You know you can't win against me now let it out." I added.

"Okay since you insist i will tell you but don't get mad." He said.

"What!"

"You mean you're leaving me all alone, jawad you know-" i was now pacing around the room.

This is serious.

"Listen to me Farah, i just told you but i never said I'm going." He tried to calm me down. "I'm thinking of a way so that i won't have to go."

"Wait i think i have an idea, we can go together."

"What do you mean? You know i can't go around in my condition." My brows squinted in confusion.

"We can go together for our second honeymoon and beside its not that your stomach is that big." He said.

Come to think about it, it sounds good.

"Oh so you mean now I'm thin." I said reaching for the pillow next to me.

"Don't worry babe, since tomorrow is Saturday we will go on a date you will eat a lot of food to make you fat." He pinched the bridge of my nose.

"I don't want to be fat." I pouted.

"Do you want the family to say i don't take care of you well." He answered back. "Come on let's get to bed, we shouldn't make our little baby tired." He added rubbing his thumb on my stomach.

"Thank you for being a good wife to me. Words can't express how happy i am to get a Beautiful, caring and loving wife like you. And i promise i will love you and take care of you till my last breath. I want you to know that whatever the circumstances good or bad i will always be with you."

"You have already said what i want to say but i want you to know that i will love you till death do us apart. I will always stay Behind You.

"Are you ready for the date?" He extends his hands offering me a smile.

"Yes."

And that's how their lives changes for the better filled with love and happiness.
