Meet Ayo Badmus
Before the final began, thef finalist in the 8th season of the Mathematics Olympiad had just introduced herself. It was Ayo’s turn. She focused her eyes on the camera, wearing a bright smile on her beautiful eyes. She began -
My name is Ayomide Badmus. I am 13 years old and presently in SS 1 Science. I am a student of Nightingale Academy located in Heart city north.
I’ve won three medals in mathematics-only competition organized in my school. Never participated in an inter-school competition before.
My happiest moment was when I was told I’ve qualified for the Mathematics Olympiad. It was all I ever hoped for. My proudest moment in this competition was when I answered 16 questions in 45 seconds, which was actually supposed to be 60 seconds but the first 15 seconds was my weakest moment.

. I felt I would be disqualified but I didn’t stop believing.
I’m the only finalist that went through more than one tie break. One in the prelims and the other in the semifinals but I’m still here because I didn’t give up. I could say I’m currently the least performing student in this year’s Olympiad in terms of points and speed but that doesn’t determine who wins in the finals

I know you do want to see Ayo win the Olympiad but I think the title as served it's purpose since Ayo already believed she can win the competition. Still I want to know what you think. It is not over until it is.
