From the last episode;
All of a sudden, his legs which were feeble wobbled. He fell down on the floor, with a thud. His mother quickened her pace towards him and attempted to lift him from the floor and help him. The sisters looked worried. It dawned on the young man that he was crippled.
Adewale lost consciousness of the dreamland and woke up to true reality of life. He was sweating profusely.
"So I have been dreaming", he asked nobody in particular. He contemplated over the event of the dream but was more confused. It was already dark and there were no signs of someone in the environment. Though it was cold, the cripple forced himself to go back to sleep. He later woke up. It was morning and reflection from the early sun has penetrated through the leaves of trees of the forest. He found five pieces of plantain before him looked round again but saw nobody.
He was astonished. "Somebody must have dropped them by my side while I was sleeping, " Adewale contemplated. "How I wish the person had waked me and took me along", he said sadly

. There were two big oranges too. He quickly ate three plantains and an orange. He thanked the person who dropped them for him, thanked God and kept the rest of the fruits away until hunger came again. He recalled the words of his father before the herbalist eventually died. `Remember always. Save for the raining days. Greediness in face of plenty brings damnation during famine ', the old man usually warned.
In the next morning, he ate the remaining two pieces of plantain and an orange before carrying on with his journey. He once again started singing as he did formerly.

. He composed and sang many heart rending songs of lamentation and self consolation. To his amazement, all hills that seemed too high for him to crawl through gave way. Wherever Adewale came to a river, it parted way and allowed him to crawl over dried land.
Just like the story of the children of israelite, when they were crossing the red sea . That it gave way and allowed them walk on dried land and returned back to it's normal state after wards. That was the case of Adewale in this story.
Well enough let go back to the story. The cripple found dropped fruits to feed on and occasionally took his baths in stream along the way. After Adewale had crawled for nine and quarter of a moon, he came to a city near Oro. There in the forest, he was noticed by a hunter who took him for an antelope. The hunter was pointed his hunting gun at Adewale, and was about to pull the trigger when the poor boy noticed that he was about to become a meat to the wild animals.
No oo oooo! Please don't shot me am not an animal but a poor crippled child who was abandoned by his mother for being useless. He said in defense of his life. And just then the hunter relized had he not been careful enough he would have shot a fellow man for an antelope. On enquiry, Adewale narrated his story to Odessa. The hunter listened sympathetically and later took him to his hut.
Odessa made his servants to change Adewale's clothing and made his wife to prepare food for him. A few days after Adewale's arrival at Esie..
