Bloody Fog - Episode 34

The family had stood outside the ward restlessly waiting upon the lovebirds to finish up.
"Mum, dad I am not feeling too well. I will go home and rest." Esther retorted squeezing the back of her neck.

"Dear, you should get checked. Take advantage that you are in the hospital." Gerald suggested checking her fever.

"I am okay dad, I guess I am just tired. See you later family." She responded in a low tone.

But that wasn't the reason. She wasn't sick but jealous. It was choking her, she couldn't stomach the romantic bullshit that was happening inside that ward. She would rather leave than have to kill the lovebirds. She didn't want making any of her family members mad since it was always clear whose side they were on.

"I will drive you home," Ben said and Esther agreed. After they both left, there was an awkward tension between the trio. Gerald remained stiff as a cadaver while Timmy's face mottled crimson, eyes popped and neck strained.

They both couldn't control fear running through their veins. The alpha woman in front of them seemed ready to tear them apart, her glare sent a message.

"Good job guys, I am proud of you." Margaret said, hugging the both of them. A smile of relief and scold in her tone.
" What????good job??" They asked in unison in disbelief.
"Yes, Dee can finally speak. But its not that I am forgiving you for what you had planned on doing." Margaret responded, her hands on their shoulders as they looked down guiltily.

"But I will forgive you since the plan wasn't successful." Margaret laced out.
The excitement radiating out of Gerald was stronger than a hundred watt bulb.
"Thanks mum," Timmy beamed hugging his mother.
"Anytime but make sure Dee never finds out or she will never forgive you. I don't want my beloved children fighting." Margaret beseeched him, placing a kiss on his forehead.
Timmy  nodded, saluting her in assurance.

"Gerald, I am coming back to our room. I am ready to give this whack marriage another chance as long as you leave Nick and Dee alone." Margaret requested cupping Gerald's face.

"Anything for my queen. I promise I won't let you down." Gerald replied, a cry of love in his voice reaching out for forgiveness. It seemed the lucky stars were on his side.
"Thank you," her lips turned into a tiny smile as she reached out for his lips and kissed him.

Gerald heart fluttered uncontrollably in his chest. He couldn't remember the last time she kissed him. That was a good sign.
He caressed his lips not believing that Margaret actually kissed him.

"I never want this family disunited, I want my happy family back. Honey do what it takes. Go and make sure nothing is pointed back to you." Margaret insisted taking Gerald's hand into hers. 

By now it was evident to Timmy that Gerald's weakness was his mother. Every time she smiled, he felt weak on his knees and seemed happy as a teenage boy in love.

"As you say my love. I wont let our family be disunited." Gerald assured her, stroking her cheek.
"I know."

When Gerald and Timmy begun walking away, Margaret called out on Gerald, "Honey, you are forgetting something???"

Gerald turned to look at her, his heart racing at his chest.
"Did I do anything wrong???" Gerald stammered.

Margaret rested her head on his chest and hugged him.
"Take care, be safe." She said as Gerald held her tight," I will my love, this is the happiest day of my life."

"We will celebrate later when I get home," Margaret told him pulling back. She kissed him on the cheek and walked away.

Gerald tilted his head and stared at her as she walked away. He was smiling like a fool since it felt like a dream he didn't wanna wake up from.

"Dad, let's go. Stop acting like a 13 year old in love. You are 50 years old for Christ sake." Timmy teased only to receive a punch n the arm.

"Let the old man be lost in the ocean in love. Let's clean the mess before my sweet Maggie gets mad." Gerald retorted and Timmy agreed with no hesitation.
