Broken pieces - Episode 7

BETSAIDA POOL CLINIC
Kaima received her three weeks work leave from Dr Pat with joy. She never expected a one week leave before wedding and two week honeymoon leave. She was sharing her happiest moment with her colleague Clara who also never expected such benevolent act from their boss.
"You should expect his emergency call anytime." Clara laughed.
"He dare not, because I won't answer him, I have already told him we will be traveling to Akwa Ibom for our honeymoon." Kaima winks.
"Seriously, I am jealous here, that will be a honeymoon indeed." Clara wowed.
"I wish there is such plan to travel, I have to lie my dear, to secure my leave." Kaima replied with a mean face.

A woman cleaner came with a mob stick and bucket, excuse them to raise their legs so she can mob the floor.

Kaima looked at her with a guess and turned to Clara. "Look like we have a a new cleaner her, and she look familiar too."
 Clara beamed a smile and waited for the cleaner to leave before gisting Kaima.
"You remember that woman that you handed over to me that day, the lady you so much adore her baby biy?" Clara was helping her to recall. 
Kaima went back to memory lane before she could recall. "Wait, that arrogant woman that was wasting my time the day Johnpaul visited my parents, what is she doing here since then?"
"What do you think, Clara shrugged,"all these township girls, she got no husband, no body to pay for her hospital bill, so Dr Pat agree with her paying her bills by kind after two weeks of discharge."
"Poor her, what a world, Kaima pitied

"She do come with him, for the one week she'd worked here." Clara responded.
Kaima watched her as she does the work, she was imagining the pains and suffering the ladies must have been going through, she only wish she can help her, if not for any other reason, her handsome baby sake is enough.

KONJO STUDIO
Yvonne  resumed work after her two weeks honeymoon leave. Guess what, she finally stood her ground to court wedding at last. She couldn't heed to even her mum's advice. That day, Johnpaul and Kaima weren't that surprise because prior to the wedding, all their effort to plan their wedding service together was twarted. Mike had always told them that all Yvonne wanted was a low key wedding. But does church wedding  means extravagant ceremony? Only her knew why she wanted a court wedding instead , time will tell.

"Good to hear your voice for a very long time Mr Peter." Yvonne answered Peter as she  was smiling at the big microphone.
"Yes, princess. But I heard you were on honeymoon?" Peter voice cloaking through the speaker.
Yvonne smiled, "Who told you that?"
"I heard one of your colleague made mention of that about last two weeks ago."
"Oh, they did?" 
"Funny you, but you should have relate that to the lovers crib family, not fair oo.
"So sorry dear, my apology also goes to the entire Lovers crib family. It was indeed a low key wedding." Yvonne apologized.
"Not even on social media?" Peter complained further.
"Mr peter, I don't know how to explain this to you, I'm not a social media freak. I try as much to keep my life outside social media OK."
"Fine, so how is the honey moon going."
"Wetin Konjo Radio no allow us, lover crib too. I won't come and kill myself for you people oo.
Peter laughed, "We only miss you, welcome back."
"Aww, Thank you peter, good to know that I mean alot  to you guys. let's hear from
the next caller, stay tuned." 

JORDAN'S HOUSE

Yvonne returns from radio house the next morning and met Mike getting set
for work. She walked towards Mike who was standing by the mirror and pecked
him.
"Trust you had a cool night?" Yvonne inquired.
"Can't tell how cool it was,  when I turned at both side of the bed, and couldn't find you." Mike winked.
Yvonne smiled, "You will get use to that."
"Yeah, I can see that your fans really missed you.
"I'm telling you boo, I spend the whole night apologising. Gosh! I thought I could keep this marriage out from air." Yvonne regretted as she dropped her hand bag.
"Why?" Mike asked.
Yvonne sat exhaustedly on the bed."I wanted a low key wedding, had it been that I had announced it on air, the reception hall wouldn't have contain the guests."
"But they need to know, people like Peter from G.R.A should know that you have been taking." 
She laughed, "Boo, you're funny. Don't tell me this dude have been on your nerves
"Never say so, but I  can felt his disappointment while he was on air. Help me get that shirt.
"Yvonne reaches for the shirt, "Yes boo, when last did you speak with your mom?
"Two days ago,why ask?"
Yvonne Helped him putting on the shirt. "Is she still mad at us haven had a court wedding?"
"How would I know, Mike grimaced, "moreover that was in the past, the earlier she put that off her mind, the better for her. Though it will be hard on her, me too, I still can believe I finally settled for court wedding. That day I called her, she angrily told means that I will soon understand that there is no marriage outside church wedding. Her belief though."
"I think I should speak to her personally on that. What should matter for her now is that her son is happily married to the woman of his dream." Yvonne suggested.
"You're indeed the woman made for me baby, Mike said turned to her, "I'm glad I married you. Mom should deal with what ever had happened on the wedding day.
She removed the shirt she helped him with before as she stares, "Come to bed before you go"
"Seriously?"
She drags Mike to bed, kissed him passionately and he felt his arousal and .......
 
That was how somebody went to work late.

FONTANA  BAR
Mike and Johnpaul were catching fun with their drinks, the ladies were on their night work. Mike had explained to JP how unmanly he feels since going for the court wedding as against her mother's wish. He have thought much about it, her mother after God is his most precious gift.  Each time he remembered her mother Mrs Anne telling him on phone that he will soon realize that there's no marriage outside church wedding, I leaves him with a restless day and sleepless night. Yvonne had noticed that, but she never give a damn to it. John had encourage him to put everything  aside and move on.
"We all have been in one mess or the other." Mike said before he gulped one mouthful and tried changing the subject. "Dude, it feels so good to have our usual time out, this two weeks have been like in another world."
"I know, see how you dey fresh." Mike replied
"For wetin, na today? I dey even feel less weight." Mike said filling his glass.
Mike gave him a thumbs up, "Tell me, so Kaima had finally dropher debut, you know, How do you feel?"
"No, she never say she's a virgin, just that she choose to foil it for me till after the wedding."
"So what's the essence?" Mike stare stunned.
"She feared I'm those hit and run guy."
"Anyways, she didn't know there is this weirdo side chick." Mike teased.
" Is or was?"
"Whatever, So how do the chick get to know you're married?"
"She knew I was engaged then. We have been in this open relationship since our service year." Mike confessed.
"Hmm, bad guy."
"Mike I will strangle you if you don't change the topic right away." JP threatened.
