Ariel continue to comfort Grey as he cried, Grey still held onto his soulmate, he was feeling so vulnerable, his cries soon mellows down and he drift off to sleep

Ariel sigh softly as she watched her soulmate sleep

I was not really expecting this, she whispered to herself,

he looks so heartbroken, she quickly placed a kiss on his forehead before she left the bedroom and head downstairs

When she entered the living room, she saw Anna still talking with her parents 

Anna's eyes shifted from Ariel's parents to Ariel 

How is he? Anna asked 

He is not coping well, Ariel answered 

But he just fell asleep now, she added 

Anna nodded her head, she was also looking tired, her eyes were swollen from crying, Ariel felt sorry for her, she could only imagine  the pain she is feeling

Why don't you go upstairs and take a nap, Elena suggested

No I can't sleep right now, Anna said 

I need to talk with my son, she added 

This is what I feared will happen, that's why I have not be able to tell him ever since,

I will have to wait until he wakes up to explain to him that it's not his fault Anna said 

Do you think Steven's brother will come after Grey and Ariel?  Raguel asked 

"Yes", he will surely come, Anna said 

What I know is that you will get clarification before anything happens, Anna said quietly

What do you mean? Raguel asked 

Don't worry, I will be revealed to you soon, she said 

Raguel nodded his head trusting her words 

Anna and Raguel continue discussing, but Ariel tune off their conversation as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she felt someone by her sides 

She opened her eyes and saw her mother 

Hey, are you alright? Elena asked 

How can I be, when my soulmate is not alright, Ariel said 

Elena nodded her head, I understand, she said 
You need to be strong for him, don't let him push you away, Elena said 

Ariel nodded her head, Elena kissed her daughter before she left the living room 

Ariel stayed in the living room for sometime, before she stood and went to her room 

 

When she entered she saw Grey whimpering in his sleep 

Ariel moved closer to her soulmate to hear what he was saying 

Please.....

Don't leave me, please...., he whimpered

Grey continue whispering those same words,

Ariel moved closer to her soulmate and wrap her hands around him 

Hey, wake up, she said softly 

Grey was still restless in her arms, as he continue whispering those words 

Shh, nobody is leaving you, Ariel said softly, 

Wake up now, she said with a little force making Grey to snap his eyes opened quickly and jump out of the bed and in that process pushing Ariel out of it 

Grey looked around the room until his eye's landed on his soulmate who was getting up from the floor

Are you alright? He asked quickly 

I'm fine, Ariel said 

I'm sorry, I didnt mean to push you, Grey said 

It's okay, I know that, Ariel said 

But....

I'm fine Grey Ariel said again 

She moved closer to him and lead him back to the bed as she wrap her hands around him 

I'm sorry Ariel 

Shh, stop apologizing, Ariel said 

Grey listened to her as he rest his head on her shoulder 

 

After a minute, Ariel asked Grey a question 

What were you dreaming about? She asked 

Grey shook his head, not able to form a sentence

It's okay, just tell me, Ariel said 

"Everybody left" he whispered, I had no one, he added 

Ariel did not need to ask any more questions because she knows what Grey is talking about 

Nobody is leaving you, Ariel said "Nobody" she repeated 

Grey nodded his head

Do you still love me? He blurted out 

Ariel sat up straight and look at Grey 

Why would you ask that? She asked 

Grey shrugged

Ariel cupped his face softly, don't ever doubt my love for you, nothing can ever change the way I feel about you 

Do you hear me? Ariel asked 

"Yes" 

"I love you" she said 

"I love you too" Grey said 

Ariel kissed him, "never doubt that again" she said ad she kissed him again before she separated her lips from his

Your mom wants to talk to you, Ariel said 

Really? Grey asked 

"Yes"

I will go call her, Ariel said standing up from the bed as she made her way downstairs 

 

He is up, Ariel announced 

Anna immediately stood up from the couch and head to her sons room, she knocked on the door and entered the room when her son responded

Hey, she said softly as she move closer to son 

How are you feeling? She asked 

I don't know, Grey answered truthful

Are you angry with me for keeping this from you?  Anna asked 

I don't know mom, Grey answered 

If you had told me earlier, I don't know if I would be will able to handle it then, he said softly, 

How did you live with it mom? Grey whispered

I have you, Anna said softly, you made me want to live, she added 

I'm so sorry mom, Grey said 

There is nothing to be sorry about son, Anna said 

But its......

It's not your fault Grey, don't blame yourself for what your father did,

you are not him, she said sternly, you are not, she repeated 

Grey nodded his head and Anna pulled him into a hug and she was glad when her son did not resist her hug 

" I love you son" Anna said 

"I love you too", Grey said 

Thank you for not giving up on me, he added 

"Never" Anna said, you are my son and I will never give up on you 

Grey smiled softly as he continue to hug his mother, they both stayed like that for sometime before Anna pulled back 

Let's go downstairs, she said

" okay" 

 

They both left the room and head downstairs 
Ariel smiled when she saw her soulmate and walked up to him

You look better now, she said 

Grey smiled at her and kissed her

Do you want to go out? Ariel asked 

Where to? Grey responded 

Follow me, Ariel said

" okay" 

Mom, we will be back, Ariel announced before she left the house, she flashed her wings and both vanished 

Grey looked around and smile, this is where we first met, he said 

Ariel nodded her head, I remember we tried to kill each other here, she said laughing 

Grey laughed hard, I remember when you made the first move, I was really surprise about your strength, I didnt think you will be able to throw a punch like that.

I train a lot with my father and uncle, she said

They taught you well, Grey said 

Grey held Ariel's hand as they walk around the field 

I can't imagine Steven cause so much pain to my mother even my uncle too, Grey said not able to refer to Steven as his father, he does not deserve the title.

My uncle just used me for his own benefits, Grey muttered 

Ariel squeeze his hand tightly, 

I'm just happy you are no longer in the demon zone 

"Me too" Grey said 

My life is easy with you in it, he added 

"I love you so much" Grey said 

"I love you too" Ariel said as she kissed him softly

They continue their walk around the field in silence for a while before they went home.
