Destiny Revealed - Episode 31

The day we have all been anticipating for finally came….. Infact i didnt sleep through out the night., i could not just sleep, i was hoping and praying for morning to come, so i could meet the guy who has stolen a space in my heart….
Due to the little information i was able to gather, it seems he should be home around 11am …. i kept rolling on my bunk trying to picture his handsome face….
i felt jealous knowing fully well that tola has been in the mansion for the past one week waiting for melvin's arrival …. should i say am being wicked for hoping and praying that melvin wont like tola ….. i just cant help it … probably am just decieving myself, many more thought keep running through my mind … i decided to catch some sleep and i slept off……
Mama femi woke us up very early around 7am … i reluctantly stood up from my bunk… streching my hands, i checked the time it was 7am….
Me: Mama, why did you wake us up this early…. still yawning..
Mama femi: Have you forgotten today is gonna be a special day .. she said smiling … melvin the senator’s son is arriving from the state today so we have to make every neccesary preparations … she added.
Nkechi: Yes o, you are right mama…
We all stood up, bathed and went to the kitchen … our office.
on getting to the sitting room we met precious and tola on thier nighties sipping juice and gisting about melvin return … we greeted them and head to the kitchen ….
At at 8am every worker was up on thier feet doing his/her assigned duty …. Nkechi and joke was cleaning the house while me and mama femi was in the kitchen … then i heard my name….

Me: yes ma …. running to the sitting room.
Chief mrs: What were you doing in the kitchen … she asked…
Me: Washing the plates ma.
Chief mrs: Leave that to mama femi, charles take keji to my son’s room upstairs, let her do the cleaning … and you keji make sure that room sparkles am i clear?
Me: Yes ma …. i left the sitting room together with charles … he led me to melvin’s room, he opened the door and left immediately…
I entered the room and surveyed it, … it was really a bachelor’s room … seems he has been staying in this room all his life before he travelled out …
it was not has dusty and dirty as i thought, seems they usually clean it … his pictures were all over the wall,… many pictures, even pictures of his younger version …i took one of the pictures i looked at it smiled and kissed his forehead…. then i remembered i was asked to clean the room and not survey, i quickly dropped the picture checked the time it was 8:30am, and he would arrive by 11am … i quickly start the cleaning, I swept every corner and cleaned everywhere till it was sparkling, not becuase of chief mrs, but it has to sparkle for the man i love… that was the first cleaning i did wholeheartedly since i got to the mansion ….probably because it is melvin’s room…
At exactly 9:30am i was done with the cleaning, i went down to the sitting room to inform chief mrs that am done with the cleaning, on getting there i met precious and tola well prepared and dressed … infact they were both looking like an angel … tola was just too pretty with the full flowing gown she wore and her light makeup .. hmm african princess… i seriously cant beat tola… not even with this my maid uniform and all back …. i fastened my step before they will say am staring at them ..
I met mama femi and nkechi in the kitchen gisting….
Me: And what are they talking about ooo….
Mama femi: Ahh, nothing really o, it is chief mrs, she sent the driver and some guards to the airport
Me: huh! isn’t it too early, it is just 10am, and he is suppose to arrive by 11am ..so why the rush.
Nkechi: Keji see you, who no go rush, after 5years of seperation, if na me ehn, i go wake go the airport by myself….
Mama femi: You are right dear, it been a while so they have every right to be over excited,… she smiled
Then joke barged into te kitchen unannouced….
Mama femi: Shocked… ah ah what is it?
Joke: i hear something ni o..
Nkechi: shey nah why you kon scare us like that…
Me: What did you hear … i was anxious..
Joke: Senator call chief mrs for phone o, he talk say make dey use car do welcome party fo melvin…
Mama femi: Really? …wooah .. but he has enough cars already, at least like 3 … what does he need a new one for again…
Joke: Shey car dey too much ni? chai how i wish say my papa get money..
Me: Hmmm… just be grateful and stop complaining…
Mama femi: You are right dear … olojukokoro oshi
We all laughed and began working…. we continued gisting about alot then we heard the driver horned at the gate..
Mama femi: Ehh … melving is here..
i felt my heart beat .. finally my dream man is back, i checked the time it was 11:30am… i quickly adjusted my uniform …
The guard announced the arrival of melvin the senator's son….
