Embedded Roses - Episode 9
*_Dedicated to Amina Abimiku (cocomeena)_*
*_MUJAHEED_*
"So? Miss go back to your room and rest". I said to aminah who was standing by my side at the backyard.
"Please, please leave those cloths. Its weekends and you need to rest not wash my clothes". She replied pouting.
"Hmmmmn...and who said i can't wash my wife's clothes?".
_Look into my eyes_
_You will see, what you mean to me_
_search your heart, search your soul_
_Oh when you find me there_
_you'll search no more_
_Don't tell me its not worth tryin' for_
_You can't tell me, its not worth dyin' for_
_you know its true_
_everything i do_
_I do it for you_
"No one said so, but can you please just leave them there. We have a washing machine for goodness sake Zawj!". Okay, now she's pissed.
"Oh really? So we have a washing machine? But i thought you always wash my clothes even thou we have a washing machine".
"Yes i do, but that doesn't mean you should also wash mine mister" she retored angrily.
_Look into your heart_
_You'll find, there is nothing there to hide_
_take me as i am, take my life_
_I'll give it all_
_I'll sacrifice_.
"Why do you always wash my clothes then? Ever since we got married three months back you've been the one washing them".
"That's because i want to be rewarded".
"And you don't want me to be rewarded right?". I asked feigning hurt.
"Ba haka bane fa" she said slowly "I was told that if a wife wash her husbands cloth it'll make him happy and She'll be rewarded

. I wouldn't want to miss that reward that's why i made it a must to wash your clothes". She added.
I let go of the wrapper am washing and held her hands in mine. God! I love this girl.
"Aminah" i called slowly
_Don't tell me, its not worth fighting for_
_I can't help it, there's nothing i want more_
_You know its true_
_everything i do_
_I do it for you_.
"You don't know how happy you've made me all this while. I've seen you struggle when washing my suits but you never gave up. You wash them everyday till you get used to them. You've made me Happy time without numbers. Is it a crime if i also do thesame?" I asked slowly..in a tone i know she can never say no to.
She looked into my eyes and smilee, a smile i love, i smile that make my heart swell in joy that she's now mine...mine forever.
"Am not saying no yaa zawj. I just want you to rest. I also don't want someone to come and see you washing my clothes, you know, yanzu sai ace na mallakeka".
_There's no love, like your love_
_An no other, could give me more love_
_There's nowhere, unless you're there_
_All the time_
_All the way_
"Lmoa. That's something our people believe. They forget that the Prophet (P.B.U.H) help his wife with their house chores. Nowadays, people will make it look like you are bewitched and nothing more".
"My point exactly. And the wife will be at the receiving end".
_You can't tell me, its not worth tryin' for_
_I can't help it, there's nothing i want more_
_You know its true_
_Everything i do_
_i do it for you_
_There's no love, like your love_
_And no other could give me more love_
_there's nowhere, unless you're there_
_All the time_
_All the way_
"You know what zaujatiyy? People fail to understand that love is all about understanding each other. No matter what come or go, understanding solves it all and make the couple understand that marraige is not a fantasy but a part of our religion. Some people think that being in love is just telling someone "baby i miss you" or "baby i love you" or "baby you are my life" that's where we are wrong. Love is about sacrifice, love is underso, love is trusting each other, love is standing by each other through thick and thin. And above all marriage is the best sacrifice ever....if you do things right and make them work then your Deen is complete". I explained.
"If only people will think the way you do zawj" Aminah started, cupping my face with her hands "Then maybe the rate at which we have divorcees may reduce. I love you zawj Aminah". She added
_You can't tell me its not worth trying for_
_i just can't help it_
_there's nothing in the world i want more_
_Oh, I'd fight for you_
_yeah, I'd lie for you_
_walk the wire for you_
_yeah, I'd die for you_
_You know its true_
_everything i do_
_i do it for youuuuu_.
"And i love you muchest much darling. May your life be full of happiness and blessings now and forever".
"Amiin yaa rabb. Now let me help you with rinsing the clothes. Don't say noo please" she pleaded.
"Fine! What to do when you have a stubborn wife. Do it".
Halfway through the work, i felt the spash of cold water on my body and Amina's voice laughing. I shivered and stood up looking at her.
"What was that for miss?". I asked her.
"Fun darling. I want to see you wet". And with that she pointed the pipe at me and another splash of water hit my face.
"You are so going to get it from me girl". I said as i ran over to her.
*
I hissed for the hundreth time, i hate being caught up in traffic. I look left and my eyes caught a car that looked like jaafar's own. And when i looked again, he was the one. With his wife sitting by his side. Just then, the road was cleared and i made up my mind to pay him a Visit. Its been a while i saw him, ever since i married Aminah jafaar cut off all the ties between us. I drove just in time to see him helping his wife out of the car. Is she sick? Maybe pregnant i guess. I beamed at the thought and walked over to them.
"As salaamu alaikoom".
"Wa alaikumus salaam" they both answered before looking at me. "What are you doing here mujaheed?". Jafaar asked.
"Just wanted to say hi, hope am not disturbing?".
"No, its okay mujaheed. How is Aminah doing?" Zarah asked getting back into her seat.
"She's fine Alhamdulillah. Are you sick?" I asked.
"I just knew it! I knew that's why you came here. She's sick pour water on the ground and drink". Jafaar said.
"Easy mana malam. Did he ask you?" Zahrah retorted sharply. She then turned to me and smile "Forgive him please. Yes am sick, I've been diagnosed with ovarian cancer" she added, her eyes tearing up.
Yaa subhannallah! Allah hummah ajirni fii musibatii. All my thought was that she's pregnant. Hasbunallah!.
"Yaa rabbi. Am so sorry zahrah. Its part of your qadr, accept it wholeheartedly and maybe that'll be your gateway to jannah. Do not let what people say about you make you weak, always be strong and Allah will see you through in shaa Allah. Shafakillah yaa ukty". I prayed.
"Amiin yaa rabbi. Thank you so very much mujaheed. Am grateful" she replied.
"Can i talk to you please? Just for a minute or so" jaafar said tapping my shoulder.
"Sure" i replied and we moved a little bit faraway from where zarah was sitting down.
Jafaar broke into tears before saying "Ask Aminah to forgive me please, maybe its karma. I was so stupid for doing what i did, but am willing to accept all this and move on, please forgive all my stupidity".
"Its okay man" i replied hugging him and tapping his back "You are going to pass all through this in shaa Allah. Keep praying bro, and never give up".
"Thank you so much. My regards to Aminah".
*
Alhamdulillah, life isn't easy. But Alhamdulillah, with all the ups and downs we are still together. Even thou Amina is not pregnant yet, but i believe that everything has it time. Ladidi is getting married in two weeks time, and now they are close friends with aminah. Fa'iza will be getting married in four months to come. I have nothing more to say other than Alhamdulillah!
*_And with this i end the story.

. The ride wasn't easy, even thou the story is short but i feel lazy and doesn't even feel the vibe sometimes. Forgive me_*.
*_I will like to address some issues. We all know that life isn't a fantasy, neither is it forever, we will all die one day and leave this dunya. Why then do we let worldy materials take over our heart. Someone who's sick is also a human being. I don't see the point why we should treat them like they are nothing but trash. Are we better than them? Or do we think that our own life will be perfect till the end of time? No, we know nothing, yet we act like ours is perfectly shaped and theirs is nothing but garbage. If you happen to come across this book then please put my friend, a sister from another mother in prayers. May Allah see her through and make it her gateway to jannah. May he grant her a spouse who'll love her for who she is and accept her flaws_*.
*_Every single person out there suffering from any predicament or health issues, i pray thaf Allah see you through and make it easy for us all. Was salamu alaikoom_*.
With love
