Falling For Innocence - Episode 34

So sorry for the delay guys. Please my sweet peas do forgive me. My

phone is a wah.lol.

Lets end this story, shall we?

Paul:

Yesterday might have appeared as a failure seeing as Sarah left

looking dejected but it is one of the best day of my life yet. The

running and plotting with amelia just made me so happy. Would i be

able to survive if i let her go? Maybe she doesn't even love me

anymore.

I fill my glass of juice and throw the content to the back of my

throat. You were probably wondering why not alcohol like i usually

would but the last time i drank alcohol because of Amelia it didn't go

well at all. Now, i need a clear head to think. Amelia is leaving

today with my daughter. I haven't really been there for Sarah and my

marriage to Margaret would only keep her and Jake apart. Is that what

i really want? For my daughter to be unhappy when i can solve

everything with few words? No, i can't fail her again. Margaret is

going through a lot but so is Sarah. I love her but i love my daughter

and her mother more. Margaret doesnt deserve to marry a man who loves

another woman. Yes, i have to break our engagement. Even if i dont end

up with Amelia, i will be happy that i did something for my daughter

to gain happiness. I saw them yesterday and they are the definition of

soulmates. I forego my glass and chug down the juice straight from the

carton. I slam the empty carton on the table a minute later then wipe

my mouth with the back of my hand.

I get off the bar stool and walk to Margaret's room. We have been

sleeping in different rooms since the accident. Margaret insisted it

was because of my injured back. I rub my hands against my trousers

then knock quietly. I receive no answer from inside after knowing and

calling out her name for few minutes so i open the door carefully and

peek in. The room is clean and properly arranged so also the bed.

Wasn't it slept in last night? I walk further into the room and find

nobody. I don't find her in the adjoining toilet either. I pick my

phone to call Margaret when i notice a text from her. It probably

tells me where she went to.

I click on the message and my heart clamp tight as i read on.

Paul, you must be aware of my disappearance by now. I want you to

know that i am doing this for your family as much as my conscience. My

husband has caused enough damage to your family for me to continue

from where he stopped. I can't do it. I am calling off the wedding.

Goodbye Paul and please dont look for me.

P.s. She still loves you. Now go get your girls.

A drop of tear cascade down my right eyes as i finish reading.

Margaret is really an heaven sent. I hope she finds happiness wherever

she is heading. I wipe the lone tear off my face and put my phone back

into my pocket. This isn't the time for tears. I need to get my

family. I race out of the room and crash with a hard body.

"Am sorry. I am in haste"Jake and i apologize together. He is dressed

a t-shirt with something about loving the park written on it. His

Daughter who is sitting astride his waist is wearing an identical

shirt.

"My mom told me she was leaving last night so am sure you are off to

the airport. Am also heading there so lets go together" he says and i

go red with embarrassment. It's his mother so he can't be okay with

this so i try to explain.

"it was not-"

"no need to explain dad. Lets go get our baby mamas" he says and i

grin. I guess we are good.

Jake:

As soon as we alight my bike, we set off into the airport. We are

already drawing attention. Probably because some people are starting

to recognize me. I should have worn a disguise. I push through throngs

of people knocking into some without caring. They might have been gone

a long time ago. We dont even know when their flight is due. Its as if

the crowd is getting thicker and i can't push through.

"where could they be? Check in? Reception? waiting room?"i ask Paul who shrug.

We walk through the whole airport trying to find them.

"Excuse me, can i get your autograph" a lady says blocking my path. I

try ti bypass her but she moves in front of me again. Daisy is on my

hips and i dont want to frighten her or else i would have screamed at

this frustrating woman. Paul comes in and i hear him talk with the

woman. I dont hear what they are saying as my eyes locate Sarah and

her mother walking away. I race after them screaming sarah's name. I

almost catch up with them before a security guard grab my hand.

"Am sorry sir but you can't go on the plane without your passport and

ticket" he says.

"i dont want to go on the stupid plane! I want my baby" i yell at him

and another guard walk up to us.

"What's going on here?" he ask

"i just want to talk to that woman over there i promise to come right

out. Please let me through. She can't leave, she has my heart with

her" i try to force my self through and they hold me back. I stop just

because daisy is already crying. I drop her onto the floor.

"Am sorry baby. Did dad scare you? I just want to get your mommy" tears

of frustration are already falling down my eyes. I must look stupid to

be at an airport crying with my baby.

"Mommy! Mommy!" daisy starts to chant and i smile. Thats my little girl

trying to help daddy. If they could just let me through. I turn to

them and they harden their faces at me. Daisy walk over to the first

guard and start scream for her mommy on the top of her lungs. People

start looking at us and demanding they find her mother.

"Her mother's on that plane and they won't let us through" i keep

explaining to passersby who start scolding the guards.

"Sarah! Sarah!" i dont know what makes her turn but when she does, our

eyes meet. I read her lips to know she said my Jake.

"baby come back to us please. We need you! Be my baby mama!" i yell.

People are taking pics but i keep yelling for her to come back. I see

her drop her purse with her mom and run towards me with her mom right

behind her. I brace myself for her yelling at me but she launch

herself into my arms instead.The air is knocked out of me by the force

but i still hold on to my sweetheart. I wrap my Hands around her waist

and raise her off her feet. I spin her in a circle and she laugh. Such

sweet music to my ears.

"Sarah" i whisper as i let her down and bury my nose in her hair.

"carry me" i hear daisy say from beneath us and i let Sarah go to see

daisy tugging on sarah's skirt. Sarah carry her off the floor and

throw her into the air to catch her.

"who is the cute baby in the whole world" Sarah ask and daisy says me!

Before she giggle. My heart is swelling with so much joy as i watch

them interact with each other. My two girls. Sarah just look so

amazing right now that i can't help but brush my lips against hers.

"Jake" she mo-n my name and my restrain snap. I deepen the kiss and

press her body to mine. I brush my tongue against her teeth, her lips,

her tongue, everywhere. I just want to take all of her.

"crushing me"daisy says and i pull away and burst out laughing.

"my baby girl doesnt want me kissing mommy?" i ask and sarah's eyes go to me.

"Mommy?" she ask and i nod then go down on one knee. "Sarah, i love you

with everything within me. Say you will be a part of our family? Will

you marry us?"i say. Sarah starts to sob and i stand to wipe her

tears.

"Am sorry sweet pea. Dont cry. I understand if you dont want that just

stop-" Sarah shut me up by pressing her lips to mine.

"Shut up Jake. I have been waiting for that proposal for too long to

have you take it back. I love you so much and yes i will marry you.

Even if you are a pain in my ass most of the time. I love you Jake" she

says and press her lips into mine again.

"i think thats enough now, stop sucking my daughters face in public.

She already said yes" i hear Paul say. I pull away to see him beside

Amelia. Her hand in his.

"You guys made up?" Sarah ask and Paul nod.

"She never could resist my charms" he tease and Amelia hit the back of

his head. He turn to her and brush his thumb against Amelia's lips.

They go to kiss and i groan.

"gross. Young people still in the vicinity"i  say and Paul throw me a dirty look.

"Thank God we never did get a divorce so you dont have a choice but to

be with me forever" he says to Amelia before pulling her into a hug.

Sarah is beaming as she look at them and i feel accomplished for the

first time in my life.

three month later

Daisy walk down the aisle with her cute pink gown with a tiara and

wings to match her costume. She spray flowers from her basket as she

walk to the front of the church where Jake is staring at Sarah in her

lovely flowing white wedding gown. Amelia also have a flowing gown on

but its pink. She is standing beside Paul in front of the alter too.

Today, Jake and Sarah say i do to each other while amelia and Paul

renew their vows. Jake and Paul are all smiles as Daisy get to them

and hand them the rings while Sarah and Amelia play the part of the

blushing brides.

Its a sunny day and it fits just how their family feel right now.
