Forgetting You - Episode 19

**** HAILEY'S POV

I sniff.

I sniff some more.

Something wet falls on my wrists and that's when I realise I'm crying.

I sniff again, trying to hold back my tears but the memories are just too much to contain that my attempt to stop crying comes out as choked sobs.

"Oh Hailey"

I hear Jason say and before i realise I'm gathered into his strong arms and he rocks me slowly rubbing my back.

I don't pull away.

Instead, I let him hold me because I feel at peace in his arms.

I feel at home.

"Hails"

he mutters and this time I let out a cry, grabbing his collar so hard I can feel my nails digging into my palm.

It's been ten years.

Ten long years since that incident occurred so then why am I crying? Maybe it's because I bottled up all my emotions and I never got to let them out.

Maybe it's because I'm relieving that horrible moment. A hiccup escapes my mouth and Jason holds me tighter as I cry into his chest.

"Let it out Hails. All of it"

he rubs my back and I do just that.

I have never been able to tell anyone about this side of me and finally telling someone feels like a heavy weight is being lifted off my shoulders.

Jason wraps his arms around me but doesn't say a word.

I'm glad because I just need some peace and quiet.

I wrap my arms around his torso and I nuzzke my face in the crook of his neck,sniffing in his manly scent.. I don't ever want to be away from this man.

He makes me feel things I'm not supposed to.

He makes me feel beautiful, wanted,needed, appreciated..

. I sniff and pull away, wiping my face.

"I..I'm sorry. I stained you shirt"

I stare at his wet shirt thanks to my tears.

He shakes his head and smiles

"It's okay really. Here,have some more"

he takes my cup of cappuccino and makes me take a sip.

"Hailey"

he began and took my hand in his.

"You didn't have to go through all this alone. I..."

He was cut of when someone called out to him.

JASON'S POV

"Dude!"

Alex shouts as he walks towards me holding a pack of candy and chocolates.

I groan.

Why did he have to arrive now?.

"I've been searching for you for a while now.. And.. Ohh. Who's this beautiful.. Uhhh you?"

He exclaims when he gets near us.

Alex just doesn't know when to shut up.

He stares at Hailey and I realise he must have recognized her..I immediately get up and walk towards him.

"We'll talk about this later. Please"

I whisper and he nods.

"Jason honey. How is Olivia?"

I turn to see my mother approaching us with balloons in her hand.

I glare at Alex who just shrugs.

"She wanted to come and I couldn't stop her"

I sigh and turn to her

"We haven't heard from the doctor mother"

I say.

"Your mother is pretty. You look so much like her"

Hailey whispers beside me and I smile at my mother who's cheeks are red.. Is she blushing? Ha!.

"And I'm proud he took after my good looks"

she says and I can't help but chuckle.

"And who might you be beautiful lady?"

She gestures to Hailey sending me knowing smiles..

"She's just a friend mom."

"Just a friend huh?"

She repeats wiggling her brows at me and I groan..

"You're embarrassing her mother"

"Okay okay. Fine. In case you two decide to be more than friends,let me just say you're welcome to the family in advance"

my mom says and scurries away quickly probably to put the balloons in Olivia's room..I glance at Hailey who's blushing.

"Uhh. Nice, nice"

Alex says and I glare at him..

"Shut up!"

He laughs and scurries away too. I turn to Hailey

"Sorry about that"

"It's okay. Your mom is cool. I like her. You look so much like her"

I smile

"So you think I'm hot?"

She bites her lips and looks down

"no.. I.."

"But you said she's pretty and I resemble her so technically I'm handsome right?"

I tease and she blushes more.. So cute

"Will you leave me alone if I answer?".

I nod.

"yes. I think you're very handsome"

she admits. I couldn't be more happier..

"And you're beautiful"

I tell her... A comfortable silence falls between us.

"On a more serious note Hailey, who's this boss of yours?"

I ask and she stiffens immediately..

"He committed murder. He kept you against your wish. Is he still doing it? Are you still working for him? Is that where you have been all this while? Tell me please"

I plead and she chews nervously on her lips.

"J..Jason..

Her lip quivers and I immediately pull her to me, wrapping my arms around her.. I have a feeling she has a lot more to say but she's somehow scared. There's a lot more to her story.

"I don't want him hurting you like he hurt Miss Rodriguez."

"I may not know what to do but I can at least help you. A problem shared is always half solved remember?"

I stroke her hair and she nods.

She's so fragile.

"Will you tell me?"

I probe further and she pulls away biting her lips.

"I... He.. "

Before she could speak, a voice interrupts us.

"There you are Jason. How's Olivia? Oh God! I'm so sorry"

The lady hugs me.. The hell!. I pull away to see Sarah.

"Sarah?".

What's with this girl lately?.

She's been following me like a leech everywhere recently.

I just don't get it.

How did she know my whereabout? I should have known.

My mom told my dad and he told her.

My dad just doesn't know when to stop playing matchmaker.

I'm getting sick of it.

HAILEY'S POV. Sarah? My eyes widen at the familiar girl who hasn't noticed me yet.

Why did Jason call her that? I immediately hide behind Jason, squeezing my frame behind his large one as I stare at Madeleine.

Yes Madeleine.

She's the same fake nurse who tricked me three years ago after I gave birth.

But what I don't understand is why Jason is calling her Sarah.. What the hell is going on? What is she doing here?.

How does she know Jason?

Was she following me all this while?

Why the f*ck is he calling her Sarah?
