One might begin with the rain, the wind and even the flood it has caused.
One might even begin with the cars that splash muddy waters on the pedestrian who hurried along under the rain and even the abuses rained on the reckless drivers by the pedestrians.

But Ayo did not notice all these-instead he walkes in silence oblivious to his surroundings with sadness written on his face, he thought of two days ago when the devil himself had pushed him to temper with his father's box of money.
The box was always an attractive sight that caught his fancy.
His father saved money in there to send his elder sister to the university.
His father kept the box of money locked up in the safety of his room, he didn't operate an account with any of the numerous banks in the town.....he felt it was too risky entrusting his hard earn money to strangers.
So that morning only God knew why Baba Ayo had brought his precious box of money out of his room to the living room.
He had hurried out of the house leaving the box of money on the center table.
The money was tempting, sitting there on the table. Many thoughts ran through his mind.
Actually he was suppose to be at school but he had come back to get a text book he had forgot and luckily for him his father hadn't noticed his presence.
Just last night, his friends whose handiwork was to waste money on gambling had finally convince him to bet on a game they called jackpot.
Ayo wasnt a gambler but the way his friends talked about it sounded interesting and he wanted so much to free his family from d shackles of poverty.
He contemplated on taking the whole money.....but fear wouldn't allow him..
he hurriedly took part of the money promising to return it double.
He didn't know how the game was going to be played, all he knew was that his profit would be huge.
But till today, Ayo hasn't seen any of his friends .
He had gone to visit each of them today but they were not at home.
He was domed.
Ayo was lost in thought as he walked along.
He stole glances at his father.
The old man had broke down in shock when he had found the money missing..he had question all his children but all of them pleaded not guilty.
So to find out he had gone to the most dreaded soothsayer in town.
Ayo knew he was domed but it was too late to confess now because they were on their way to see the Baba under the rain.

So early this morning, his father had carried all of them including his mother under the heavy rain to the soothsayer.
the seer wanted to come on a day it was raining; reasons best known to him alone.
How Ayo had prayed for this day to never come.
They were all shivering when they got to the Baba's house, it was a small mud house decorated with uli and red paints.
They all stood under the rain...the compound was flooded and the waters was up to knee level
it was still raining heavily and to worsen it the wind accompanied it, whistling and blast their faces.
they were soaked to their bones.Their teeth were chattering uncontrollably.

Baba Ayo was determined to know the culprit, none of his children looked like olé but bàráwò wasn't written on the face of anyone to be identified.
Even his elder sister was a suspect, she had cried like someone had died the day the money went missing.
To her, her hope of going to uniben was shattered.
He cant confess now he feared what his father would do to him even his sister, she would rip him apart.
