Incomplete - Episode 3

Britni sat down near her parents room as she heard them quarrelling, she wondered what went wrong because they use to have a peaceful family.

She cleaned her eyes as she felt hot tears fell on her laps

To feel better she leaned on the wall to think of the past

Britni, Nora and Max sat outside having a cool quiet time, feeling out of place in the discussion she decided to squeeze in herself in the conversation 

She drew closer to Nora and sat in between her legs

“Mom tell me how do you know Dad is the one” Britni asked feeling her mother’s stomach

"How did you come up with that"

Britni spread her hands and shruggled "from a movie"

Nora giggled like a small child as she looked at Max grinning from ear to ear; Max understood the glance and came to her rescue

Nora made to answer but Max shushed her and cuddled Britni “Don’t worry you will know that later”

Britni scurried out of her Dads lap and leaned on her mom. Nora slightly pushed her telling her to go meet her Dad.

“Baby please go and lean on your Dad, I am so tired now”

“Yes” Max concurred “you know Mom is heavy with your brother, so let her rest”

“No, I want a sister” Britni argued

“Me too” Nora agreed “but any one is accepted”

“No, I disagree with that” Max joined the discussion “I want a boy”

“No, a girl” Nora and Britni argued back

“So it is two against one now”

“yes” Britni answer and kick the Dads leg

Max tickled Britni as she laughs out loud

“Okay I agree, but Mom how did he she enter your stomach”

Max carried Britni high up her shoulder and tickled her

“you ask her too much question, besides what’s with the he she” 

Britni laughed out loud “since its hard to know if I am going to have a brother or sister” 

Max smiled proudly at her daughters little intelligence 

“Come here baby” he draws Britni close to him “ You know I love you right” 

Britni giggled “More than Mom right” she asks shining her teeth

“Ofcause, I don’t love your Mom anymore” Britni smiled at that and sticks out her tongue towards her Mom

“Dad loves me, Dad loves me” she sings and shouts as she run inside the house

Max laughed and shakes her head

“Come baby, let’s go and sleep”

"Leave me joor, shey you love your daughter now more than me"

Max laughed out and helped Nora to stand up lightly and entered inside

Nora giggling at the father and child playing

“Sis, why are you crying” Christian asked sitting next to Britni

Britni quickly cleaned her eyes and dragged Christian out so that he wouldn’t hear the parents arguing

‘Am fine” but you are crying

“No am not, lets just go okay”

Christian nod and followed Britni

Bea paused from what she is typing and picked her phone that have been ringing

Straining her neck she looked at the screen wondering if to answer it or not

Finally she slid on the screen and answered the call

“Hello Mom”  twitching her face

“Beatrice”

Bea winced at the name her Mom called her

“Mom I prefer been called Bea”

“When was the last time you came to visit me” her Mom asked ignoring her last statement

“Mom I have been busy”

‘I am travelling next week and I need to see you immediately”

Bea sighed and nod her head

“Okay Mom” she answered immediately when she remembered she couldn’t see her

“Beatrice, you better not miss it’

"Is Dad coming"

Silence

Bea sighed again after ending the call, she sat down

‘when did I even stand up” she wondered

“Mah the representatives are all present”

“where are they” Bea asked half murmuring without lifting her head up

“In the conference room” Tristy replied obediently

“Tell them I will be there in a minute”

Okay Mah” Tristy answered and turned to go

“Tristy”

“Mah”

“Take my bag there and carry these files”

“Okay Mah”

Bea looked at the mirror, adjusted her suit; satisfied with her look she smiled a little but on spotting Trusty behind her, she got back to her stern look and left with Trusty trailing behind her
