Its Green - Episode 1

Edidiong woke up to the screeching sound of the rusted and dirty fan just some few centimetres above his medium size bed in a shady room which would have been completely covered by darkness but saved by the reflection of a light bulb from the wardrobe in adjacent to where his bed lay. Sounds of naija beats coming out from the bedroom of his elder brother, Sam and the noise probably from the early morning cartoon in nickledon TV being watched by his smaller and last brother, Fred kept on sending pounding vibrations into his brain.

On getting up from bed, Edidiong was careful in stretching in order not to get his hands bitten off by the three sister fan blades who are always in a chase without catching each other, with a yawn after stretching and a half filled sleep eyes which were already popping red like the red linings of a blood stained linen Edidiong staggered towards the door trying to grab the  handle, thoughts of the previous  night's event raging through his mind including the crossover over night service, the fireworks, and to crown it all, how he met her.

It was the first of January, Alas there was light after a long expectation since October, Dad and Mom were probably still in the bedroom. Edidiong having mixed feelings about  the light first on the bright side cos he was going to use it in charging his phone which went completely off due to the long WhatsApp chat he had with her after the night's service and the annoying part, he had to wash the whole family's Christmas fabric with the washing machine, a task which he had avoided with the excuse of their 750kw old generating set being unable to provide sufficient amount of current to ensure the proper functioning of the washing machine.

On stepping out of his room, Edidiong met Sam just stepping in from the balcony with a pail and a pack of detergent in his left hand, he wore only  a pair of green boxer, leaving his abdomen bare exposing the fibres of his prominent rectus abdominis muscles, what most guys in school call six packs and are training hard to get in order to capture the attention of all those hard girls especially during football games

. On seeing Edidiong, Sam dropped the contents in his hand and initiated the shocki dance steps in accordance to the rhythm that was coming out from his room moving his legs and arms simultaneously. Startled at his brother's behavior, Edidiong asked " what is it this time around?" "You don win bet again" he continued. "Its Victoria"Sam replied " we t*uched, "we romma.........".

"Victoriaaaaaa!" Edidiong screamed "the one in college" he continued "how possible". With a shrugging shoulder and a boss- like feeling Sam said" I told you all these college bitches are as cheap as fuck" he boasted "just play it cool man, " keep your head down and play it steady.

Victoria was one of a kind, she could be considered as one of the most beautiful girls in school, her beauty was so pronounced that any man or guy on seeing her would only have the option of taking a second look. Physically, she was tall, fair, had all the endowments every guy would look for in a girl, her features were so sharp that it was rumoured Mr okoro the head science teacher had been slapped by her for making advances.

Apart from her beauty, Victoria was very intelligent and pronounced, she came from a very wealthy family of wealth and prestige that was widely known by almost the entire state. Everything she did was in style her clothes, her ornaments, her friends and all that but she had a very arrogant attitude and was popularly referred to as backyard snob. Indeed she was the toughest girl in ckc college.

"Bro lemme tell you something, no girl I repeat, no girl is an angel from heaven" Sam said to Edidiong who was still looking bewildered, "you just need to grow bro, rise above your introverted and shy life, there is nothing to be afraid of in any girl, you just need to wake up and be the man that you are regardless of how rich, poor, handsome or ugly you are. " Edidiong replied "Its now I know you are really a genius, look at kevin, George, mike A.k.a rich dad even in all his riches and exorbitant lifestyle could not move a mile closer to her but here you are celebrating", "that means I can make it to Annie" he concluded. Sam looking at his brother said "don't worry I'll show you the way" let's hit the gym ".
