My boyfriend and I - Episode 5

"Doctor, this is the money and what about the document I need to sign" I said. 
"OK good," he brought out some papers and I signed on it indicating that I agreed to the commencement of the surgical operation. 
"You can wait at the reception, the work will start in a few minutes to this time" he said. He started gathering some stuffs, and I went out. Through out the period of the operation, I was moving up and down, praying that I should not be put to shame and God should make it a successful one. I was checking my watch over and over again, the operation started around 10am, when I checked my time and it was 12pm, still nobody comes out of the cesarean section, I was not at peace any longer, all my thought was that Bosun was dead already. The moment I was thinking that, a nurse came out and rushed to meet her
"Nurse, what is the problem? How is he now?" I said panting
"Madam, calm down, Doctor is on his way" she said as she left, then I saw the doctor coming as she has said earlier.
"Doctor.."
"Madam,"
"What happened? Did anything go wrong?, talk to me please" I was already shedding tears profusely
"Anyway, we thank God that the surgery went well, we've done all the necessary things" he said
"Praise God" I jumped 
"Yeah, he needs rest now, you can now go home to have some rest, because I can see it already that you're stressed up and while coming you can bring liquid food for him too" he left for his office.
"Wow, thank God" I went to where he was laid to look at his face, I firstly stand afar off but I did not know the magnet that drew me to where he was and all I found myself doing was giving him a peck. I felt great and as well I was sad, because it would have been better if he can reciprocate and give me the best kiss ever

. I went home to prepare something for myself and rest a little. 
By the time I got to the hospital, Bosun was still sleeping. I sat beside him staring, because I could no wait for him to open his eyes. Few hours later, I was already dozen off when I heard a still small voice calling my name. I looked beside me, it was Bosun.
"Bosun, you're awake!" I said excitedly
"Lara, thank you," he said faintly
"You don't need to thank me, thank God you're alive, let me go and call the doctor," I used my hand to caress his cheek before going to call the doctor. When the doctor arrived, he checked his pulse, his eyes and other places. "Find something liquid or soft food for him to eat." he said. I have already brought fruits and beverages, I firstly made fruits salad for him, and he ate from my hands steadily, while feeding him, I was already picturing how I would feed our first child because I was sure that he's already falling in love with me.  
After he was done eating, he said "Lara, thanks so much." "I have told you that you don't need to thank me," I responded
"But people like you are rare...," he tried to explain himself
"Yeah, I know, that's why we're different" I said emphatically
"You're truly a good friend, because a friend in need is a friend indeed," he said smiling, I looked around to be certain that nobody hears us especially the doctor but I was hurt inside me thinking that all my plans for the two of were just a day dream.
"Hmm, it's true, but we're more than friends now," I said so that he could know what I have for him.
"Yeah, we're almost like brother and sister," he said smiling again
"What!" I thought
"You're not saying anything, hope there's no problem?" His question brought me back to my senses.
"Nothing, nothing, I was just thinking about the person that could did such an evil act," I lied
"That's nothing to worry about, the person will be caught very soon," he affirmed
I could not say anything again because I was overwhelmed with everything he said that day. So he doesn't have any feelings for me, I was just being fooled all these while. Was I truly being fooled by him or I was the one fooling myself?...
