My Imsu Desire - Episode 1
I tossed and turned in my bed, unable to sleep. I was very anxious about my tomorrow's exam. Damn!, am so nervous. This JAMB of a thing can really turn someone into an apprehensive freak. Finally, the time has come for me to see the result of my hard work and studying for years.
Suddenly, my eyes grew teary and misty, I started reminiscing, once again, about past events in my life. Gosh!, why am I so unlucky. My life has been so complicated from the start.
Nawa oh, see me sef oh, "Who starts a diary without first introducing himself". Why my things dey always dey different from other people own sef? Anyway, am sure my honourable readers will forgive me.
My name is Ifeanyichukwu Maxwell Ibekwe. But people call me Ifeanyi for short while my nickname is "Ifeaz". Am 20 years old and am from Owerri-North municipal in Imo state, Nigeria. Am very handsome and tall, infant, typically dashing, am about 6ft2 inches tall, with pink lips( Kiss Daniel's kind) and six pack( due to suffer from pushing trucks in the street and other hard jobs). Who see me for road go tinx say I be better person or movie star.............
I was born with a silver spoon but on my 6th birthday, Jan 4th 2003, I lost my entire nuclear family( mother, father, three elder sisters, younger brother) in a ghastly motor accident, while returning from the Xmas holiday in our hometown. I was the only surviving soul from that incident.
Later on, I was taken to an orphanage home in Enugu, where I grew up, that's because none of my parents family members were willing to take me in

. They called me a wizard and all other kinds of scurrilous names. Well I don't blame them sha. Just likewise myself, they found it hard to believe that a vulnerable six year old could go unscratched and survive a ghastly accident, while everyone else involved were shattered to pieces, some roasted alive.
My father's brothers, uncle Dozie and uncle Chuks took charge of all our property and businesses and left me to suffer in the streets. What could I do, I was but only a child then.
While wondering and begging for arms in the street, a reverend sister found me and that's how I started living with my fellow orphans. I stayed there for seven years. During my stay, I saw other children like me, being adopted by couples, but as usual, my case was always different, no one came for me.
On New Year's Eve of 2010, I ran away from the orphanage home, life was becoming unbearable there, the caretakers had already started treating me like I was a liability to them. I had to leave. I started life in the street once again, until I met one Mr Okafor( now my adopted father), he took me in as his son. He owned a big provision store, no wife or children, according to him, his wife died while giving birth to their first child, so did the baby, he didn't remarry. Soon after adopting me, his business crumbled, people were telling him it was because of me(which could be true because I always bring bad luck to people). But the man just didn't let go of me.
Lemme take u guys back to reality now, because if I continue my life history, eh eh, e nor go finish today. Back to present now, tomorrow is my D-day, as in eh, my dream of going to higher institution was finally taking shape. I will be sitting for the 2017 JAMB examination.
Gosh!, if anything else, I hope to make my father proud and at least fulfill my desire of attending Imo state university.
