Omotola's POV

Thanks for the meal, you are a very wonderful cook, he said smiling.

Thanks, can I go now, I said, why not, thanks, I took my bag and left, I also called Mrs Jaja , mum am through with everything you told me to do, and brother Josh is also back, ok darling, thank you so much, I really appreciate.

The session was almost coming to an end, I was made the vice president of my fellowship, I was surprised, I didn't even attend the screening, though have been a devoted worker, but I was so scared when it comes to to leadership, I think it is time to come out of my shell and start making impact the little way I can as Mercy said some years back.

This new Vc doesn't joke at all, a week after the exams where concluded, our results where posted, first paper and pencil exam in that school, I was scared when I saw F's in the legal method 301 results, just 1A , 2B'sand 5C's out of 100 students, I hurriedly checked my matriculation number,  Thank you Jesus, I shouted, I had an A. Chioma had a c, but we weren't happy Dami had to carry over the course, her mom's sickness is really weighing her down. The other courses weren't that bad, we cleared all of them, I had B in  one, I salute you madam, after you na book, Chioma said

Mercy's call interupted us, you promised to call back last week and you didn't,  I said, lol am sorry, it's exam stress, back to back 

Mercy's POV

Am sorry Tola, it's exam stress , all those lecturers where rushing us, back to back exams, but am at home already, do you mind coming over.

No , I will be going to Chioma's place, we are waiting for the driver, he will soon be here, ok then, I just hope you are not making excuses, so you won't come here

Lol, don't forget Dad's birthday is next month, yes I won't. Ok then, we will talk better when we see, have a wonderful day, she cuts the call

Omotola's POV

We arrived at Chioma's place , past 6 in the evening, her mom had  already made dinner, we freshened up and ate , then Mrs Benson aid, Omotola go and rest now, we have something to talk about tommorow.

Only God knows why  she wants to see me, I asked Chioma, babe I don't know why, but tommorow is not far again, just be patient she said smiling.

The next morning , I greeted Chioma's parents , o assisted in some house chores, then her parents called me, Chioma and Kelvin please excuse us.

Mr Benson

Chioma my dear, how was your night, very fine sir, please have your sit, my wife chipped in. Chioma we are worried you have not said anything about your family, I said smiling

They are fine, she sounded a little pissed, why is your face like that, my wife asked her, did we say anything bad, I don't know my dad, she said crying, my mom told me , he left before I was born and never returned back, my mom is a busy business woman, she said faiifa a smile.

Ok, don't you visit her,  I asked, she disowned me because of my stepfather, pls sir and ma'am can we not talk about this, she said .

Why, we just want to know you, nothing more, it's my life and it's private, she said.

Omotola's POV

I was so pissed off with those questions, I just managed to  control my self, Chioma asked me, what they said, it's nothing important, I said.

I decided to leave that weekend, I was no longer comfortable, perhaps am inconvenienting  them and they don't know how to say it, I said to myself. 

Why this sudden change of mind Tola, am fine just let me be, I told Mr and Mrs Benson, I will be leaving tommorow ,  why, I thought you where staying for the holidays he said, something came up I said

I just want you to know that we are not complaining about your stay here, we are try to, then he suddenly kept quiet. Tola you are like a daughter to us, Mrs Benson said, please sit down, let's discuss, she  brought out a photo all, do you by chance know this people, I looked at the picture and tears gathered my eyes, that's my mum, I don't know the man  i said

Mr Benson looked at me, i thought as much, we need to see your mom to verify something important, no need for that , she won't come for anything that has to do with me.

Is anything the problem, nothing my dear Mr Benson said, ok what if we set it up as a business meeting , Mrs Benson said

Nice idea, please give us her number and some details on what she does, ok. I hope you will stay now, I love the way you and Chioma study, even during the holidays,  Mrs Benson said
