Pierced Rose - Episode 55

Reginah arrived home walked towards the kitchen crying so as her mother could have enough reasons to forget that fellow. He slapped her precious baby for Christ sake.

"Mama," the more she closed the distance between them  the more tears rolled down. Before she  could hug her, she received two massive slaps that she almost lost balance.

She tried to exhale and inhale putting her thoughts in order. "How dare you humiliate your father like that?" There was anger and rage in her voice, she was breathing out fire putting on the no joke  or am not laughing with you look that Reginah started lisping. 

"Is that how I brought you up???" Reginah shook her head in disapproval shivering. She was scared of what her mother  might do next.

"What happened there???" Her tone walked the lines between anger and rage.
"I was mad and angry at dad, Isabelle made me lose it. Mum, I felt humiliated and betrayed." Reginah replied in a cracked whisper.

"He is your father and I am so disappointed, shame you Reginah. You really embarrassed me." 

Reginah regretted not standing up for herself the moment those words slipped her lips. She should be on my side.

. He doesn't care about us. How dare he introduce m to that who-e??? I don't regre......" Reginah was cut short after being awarded with another slap on her face.

"He is still your father even thou he left."
"He doesn't love you, stop waiting for him move on." Reginah  confessed, throwing the bowl of fruits to the floor.

The angered face  of her mother turned to a hurt face within a second.
She had hit where it hurts. She deserved it.

"You know what, he said you were a mistake.. He wasn't even ashamed when he said that...You are nothing to him.." Reginah said with emphasis clenching her jaws.

"You are a mistake and that's what happens when you sleep  around with a married woman. He would never chose you.. Here I was thinking you were left little did you tell me you were a mistress.." Reginah snarled.
"Mistresses  are always..."
"Shut up," Diana yelled raising her hand to slap her again.
"Hit me," Reginah took her hand and slapped herself, "Where was he when we also hungry??? Where was he when you were in hospital??? I ruined my life because of you Diana. I became a stripper because of you. I had to take up responsibilities and man up because I loved you. I almost killed someone because of you..And here you were choosing him over me.." Reginah yelled at her face. Diana was busy crying trying to take her in her arms but she slapped her hands away. Reginah got angrier at the thought of all she did for her mother...

"Baby, I am sorry..." Diana cried out.
"You are a traitor, that man got divorced but instead of coming back to you he married a girl old enough to be his daughter... That's how much he hates us.." She whispered angrily to her, "Wake up Diana, you were a mistake..Funny thing I have a brother who is kinda older than me.." Reginah laughed at the thought of having a brother..

"You chose him and I am choosing myself. I am done putting you first. Go to your Anthony who will never see you as anything..." Reginah thundered and dashed  out  of the house.
She started running to God knows where as the walls of her eyes collapsed. The tears she had  shed that day was  enough to fill a Jerry can. 

Diana was left on the kitchen floor crying and devastated. Deep down she knew Reginah was right..

. She was harsh with her. Yes she loved him but to him she would always be a mistake...

Brad and his friends were at Gremag. It was the opening of the club and Greg needed their support.

Jayson too was there but him and Brad never talked. Brad was still mad..  He had forgiven Reginah because he loved her but Jayson had broken the bro codes...

Carlos seemed devastated, he talk less and drunk more..
"Bro, what's up!??"Jayson asked.
"It's nothing..." Carlos murmured taking another shot of whisky.
"You can tell us, we are your bros.."Jayson assured.
"Easier said than done.." Brad hissed clenching his fists.
"I said I am sorry, didn't I?? Reginah is my past and I didn't want to tell you because i care."Jayson snapped. He was tired of Brad's rude behaviour.

"But we have bro codes..You should have told me.." Brad yelled back slamming the table..
"Guys don't break anything, I can't gain losses my first day at work..." Gael requested standing between them.

"I have a sister that I only knew about yesterday. How could he do that???" Carlos cried out making Brad and Jayson calm down..
"I am sorry bro, I didn't know.." Brad retorted rubbing his back when his phone rung..

"Brad I need you  more than ever. I am in heart park..." Reginah sobbed before hugging up..
"Reginah hello??! Baby????" Brad called out but nothing. 

Did he tell the boys, bye. Screw it.  His chocolate girl  needed him and that was all that mattered.

"Brad, what wrong???"Jayson asked but he ignored them.
Brad ran out to the parking lot like a mad person, shaking off all possible thoughts of her being in trouble that he tripped and almost fell. 

Nothing made sense to him, the last time he checked she was going home to see her mama, now she was at heart park, miles from her home. What was happening???
