Pierced Rose - Episode 7
Relapse
Brad Carried her to his room he felt like a fragment of fire and she was the river of gasoline.
He carefully lied her down as she didn't like being so intimately handled.
"Brad you hurt, let me check that out." Reginah stammered, lifting herself up and slightly pressing his bruised mouth with her warm hands.
Her hands were warmer than spring sunshine on soft new grass. She summoned enough courage to meet his gaze and her eyes twinkle, "Thanks for helping me out back there."
"Friends," Reginah shooting her hand out for a handshake.
"Friends," Brad replied giggling like a fool as she pulled him to her and buried her head into his shoulder," Thank you. It meant a lot."
"Its okay, that's what friends do. They got each other's backs," Brad assured pulling her back and holding her at shoulder's length.
He could see her trying to fight back the hot stinging tears behind her eyes.
Reginah pulled a smile to her cheeks and leaned forward. Her sweet breath fanning her face." I will never forget this." She whispered, pressing her lips lightly on his lips.
It was a magical feeling causing him to flinch in complete shiver and ecstasy. Brad knew he had kissed a lot of girls before but just a simple kiss by Reginah was messing up with his head.
Since he met her she never left his mind, if not physically she was always there mentally.
"I will always be here, I promise

. Get some rest. I will sleep in the other room tonight." Brad stated, tracing her lip lightly with the tip of his finger.
Reginah's gaze slid to the side. Deep in her she wanted to plead Brad to sleep by her side that night but all she did was nod.
"Goodnight, you are safe now." Brad reassured, pressing a kiss on her forehead cupping her face.
"I know. You here." Reginah beamed covering herself up. That statement really boosted Brad's ego, Reginah trusted him with his safety.
Brad walked out switching off the lights and dozed off at the sofa watching a match between Arsenal and Chelsea. He was in deep slumber until he heard screams, they came from his room. Was she having a nightmare?? He ran to her, the ringing screams vibrating in his ears.
He slammed the door and switched on the lights. The state she was in made his body shut down immediately. She was on the floor in a ball the foetal position. Her hands covering her ears.
"Reginah are you okay?" His words were bouncing off like they were hard rain. He reached for my phone and called Mr Contango. Thanks heavens he took his number since he had a gut feeling, he was gonna need his help soonest.
Reginah's eyes were wild when Brad make her sit, suddenly she begun rocking, rocking and rocking. she was talking but she didn't have enough time to say what she needed to. Her words crowded and some missing. Her thoughts seemed to jump from one thing to another.
"Reginah, wake up.. come back to me please." Brad pleaded stroking her back while he planted kisses on her.
"Brad, is that you?? Why did you leave me?? Why did you let him come back." Reginah cried, punching Brad hard on the chest numerously as tears flowed without a pause. Brad could tell the pain sitting below her skin was intense.
"Who is here Riri?" Brad stuttered feeling confused as he looked around. No one was there just him and her.
"Him," She yelled, pointing everywhere trembling," please don't leave. Stay with me. Save me." She screamed, wrapping herself around him closer than food wrap.
Holding his shirt firmly. She was really shaking like a leaf during winter.
"He won't harm you. It was just a nightmare. I would protect you with my life even if the odds were insurmountable," Brad said, cupping her face as her eyes meet his, "When you have a nightmares just think about me. Your guardian angel and all will go away." Brad assured hugging her but this time tighter placing his head on hers. He could hear her breathing becoming shallow and even.
Brad heard a knock it must have been Mr.Odhiambo.
"Let me get that am coming, okay?"
Reginah just forces a smile.
Brad explained everything to Mr Contango not leaving a detail of what had happened earlier that evening. And there was a flash of shock and dread on his face. It didn't look good.
"How are you Reginah???" Mr Contango asked as they entered the room. She looked scared but Brad sat beside her assuring her its was okay she could trust the doctor.
"Nightmares." Reginah replied avoiding his eyes.
"Are you sure only that?"
She just nods but was still pale.
"Brad, can I talk to you?" Mr Contango ordered gently.
"Okay," Brad answered, standing up, "I will be back."
Reginah groaned and Brad made weird faces.
"I think the nightmares are from something that happened to her in the past." Mr Contango explained.
"What should I do?" Brad asked a paralyzing hurt spread through his body like icy, liquid metal.
"Just talk to her, let her open up to you or else things may get out of hand."
"What do you mean?" Brad asked his mind trying to order his body to fall in line.
"She would go mad."
Brad felt a thousand pieces of glass wedged in between his soul and body.
"What??? not my Reginah ." Brad sobbed, rubbing his face continuously as the thought of that made his face fall more fast than vomit.
"Do it, before its too late." Mr Contango stated again as Brad walked him out.
Brad was not perfect but he would follow her into hell if that's what it took to keep her safe.
"What did he say?" Reginah asked walking towards Brad when he entered the room.
"They are just nightmares, nothing serious." Brad smiled as his heart struggled to pull him back inside making everything seem alright.
"I told you," Reginah slapped his arm forcing a smile.
"I will be in my room, if you need anything just shout or scream." Brad murmured, turning around and begun walking to the door when Reginah held his hand.
"Brad, wait please don't leave. Can you sleep with me tonight, am scared. Please???" Her words made him freeze, the fact that she felt safe with him was so special.
He looked at her, his heart fluttering uncontrollably in his chest. Brad could see fear in her eyes so reached out and wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to him, "Okay, I will sleep with you tonight."
He felt like he would die if he didn't kiss her soon, he couldn't control the urge, the want. It was intense.
Brad close the distance between us, his arms wrapped firmly around her waist. He felt her lips brushed against his, his stubble tickling her chin.
Reginah ran her fingers through his hair intertwining them between her fingers. Her lips flutter smoothly over his..

. His lips ticked her lower lip beckoning her to let him enter. Her lips were almost immediately, his tongue darted inside her mouth meeting with hers. He feel his insides growing warm, churning desire but she suddenly begun getting cold and becoming pale.
Guilt alert. Brad pulled back and held her hands rubbing them in circles," You had a rough day. We should get some rest." He whispered, scooping her off the floor and carried her to bed.
Reginah shrugged but he could read happiness in her face. Brad told her about Los Angeles and some of his moments back there.
Reginah never talked about herself all she did was listen and laugh when need be. What spell was Brad to use so as she could trust him and get him inside her emotions, moments and feelings. For him to know what was wrong, she needed to open up.
Brad pulled her to his chest as his arm held her tight. She was a pretty girl but snored like a construction site.
