Salvation (An Arranged Marriage ll) - Episode 23

"Is this really the time for you to be pulling this Anaya? It's really dangerous out there you know that right? Not with us not knowing what the hell is out there for me"

"What did you say?" She asks.

I sigh, I've been talking for a while, it's just like Anaya not to have been listening.

"I've said a lot of things Anaya, what part exactly do I have to expand on?"

"That last part, you said something dangerous was out there for you, not me, for you Anadia, as much as I sympathize with you and sorry that you are facing this but I'm safe"

"Relatively... Anaya, please come home, Aroofa can't seem to get a hold of her self, it's been two weeks already, you can go back as soon as we catch the person that's after me"

"I'm not coming back"

"Anaya....".

"I can't face him.." She says her voice very low, "I love him too much to do so, he's he's hurt me multiple times Anadia"

"Maybe you guys should talk? Uh...?"

"I've tried that, but he refuses to.. I've tried that Anadia"

"Come back and we can...".

"I'm never coming back, look, I have to go, I have work this morning" She says before disconnecting.

The bathroom door opens before I can start a cry fest and Caspian steps out from it..

"From the look on your face I will say no luck" He says, rubbing his hair with a towel.

"None" I say, watching as he rubs a hand around his haw in frustration. 

He's as worried about this issue as I am, Aroofa refusing to tell anybody what the hell is wrong is not helping matters, I'm chucking every thing up to Anaya leaving.

. What are we gonna do?" 

"Nothing, they are grownups, they should handle their issues by themselves, they don't need us poke nosing" When he makes it sound like that it makes me feel like I should just give up and settle on my own problems. 

Speaking about my problem. 

"Any news from Camden?" I ask. 

It's been two weeks since the photo incident and since that time I've gotten a well encrypted phone and zero threats from the bastard. 

Camden thinks that maybe the person is giving it a rest, seeing as he wasn't able to get a rise from me. 

" None, yet, but he's close to something" He says, seating on the bed and pulling me close.. 

"Please? I know I don't want to sound like a bitch but he should kind of give it a rush, it's going to be wonderful to me when I am finally able to feel safe in my house" I say, nuzzling his neck. 

He smells of aftershave and soap. Yum. 

He pats my hair as I lay a kiss on his neck. 

"It's good to see you've finally decided to call this place your home" 

"I knew you were going to pick up on that" I say, blowing a raspberry on his neck making him chuckle, I feel the goosebumps on his skin, hmmm, someone is affected. 

"Anadia, baby, we are fresh out of condoms, don't start anything you won't be able to finish" He says and I sigh, lifting my head. 

"Why did you even make that stupid rule to begin with" I say, pouting. 

"You call it a stupid rule I call it being safe" He says. 

"Besides... How long do I even have to wait for my period? It's been..." I freeze, his eyes lock on mine. 

"It can't be" I say, shaking my head, grabbing for my phone and swiping for the period app on it. 

"You are supposed to start today" He says, I nod, I was or am supposed to, I don't feel any cramp so... 

Am I pregnant? 

"Let's calm down, you know you can go in the bathroom and check right?" He says.. 

"I'm scared" 

"Of what?". 

I don't really know, I don't want to be pregnant and at the same time I know I will be disappointed if I am not.. 

What is wrong with me? 

Slight pain lances through my stomach and I clench the sheet, it is as if talking about the period has made it announce itself. 

"I'm cramping right now, so.. Yeah, no baby" I say, and he looks vaguely disappointed, it's how I feel too. 

"Do you need anything?" 

"Uh.. Sanitary pads will be good, I forgot to get some" I say, my voice quiet, he nods as he stands. 

"I'm gonna go get some before going into the office,.." He says and I nod.. 

He lifts my chin and my eyes stay on his .

"Its okay anadia, its fine that you aren't pregnant, you don't have to be, not until you are ready, I will be here to support you when you want to make a baby..." He says before adding with a smirk "... Literally, like I have to be here for you to make a baby"He says and I hit his chest. 

"No joking" I say, my voice hitching, he kisses my head before pulling on some clothes and exiting. 

I stand up from the bed, it's best if I have my bath now, before he comes back. 

Stripping my clothes I stop in front of a mirror and really look at myself, my eyes are bright and happy and my hair looks like it needs a good haircut. 

I've turned to a changed woman in one month, being with Kane. 

I smile at my reflection but then grimace when another cramp tightens my stomach. 

Okay, I'm not pregnant, I hear you uterus, jeez.
