MIGUEL

I groaned in pain and cursed even more as I heard her chuckle . This was so wrong, how in God’s name did I end up in this place with such a woman?

This woman seemed like a woman on a mission..whatever her mission was, she was really making a headway but I wouldn't give her that satisfaction.

I stared at the pieces of glasses on the floor.  My knuckle hurt like hell, a piece of tiny glasses seemed to be in my skin and I gently wiped it with my other palm. The chest she had pressed earlier still hurt a little. Maybe she just wanted to come here and kill me after all. But even if, why would she go into all the stress of keeping me alive when she could have left me to die in the woods.

My memory went to that very night, I had seen that the bridge was slippery, even the horse had refused to pass through, but I was so angry i climbed down and pulled the poor horse by the rope on the neck and I never noticed the branch of the tree before it hit me and knocked me into unconsciousness.

I heard when she came running towards me, I saw her in the rain as devastated as she seemed when she began to pull her cloths one by one..I had even thought she had ran mad. But when she sat down and began to cry, I was more confused than ever.I had wanted to stand up but I was paralyzed and I couldn't even stir, before I noticed the old woman

. I could have protested, but what was I to do, when I saw both women trying to save my life, I just gave in finally.

But then I had woke up this morning and I had kissed her...!

I kissed her!

Was I out of my mind, how could I have done that? Something was definitely going on here. I just want to get healed and get the hell out of here, far..far from her.

It wasn't intentional, I just lost all control....I have never seen her so close to me especially after having dreamt about her.

WHY DO I KEEP DREAMING ABOUT HER!

Ugh! this is just hopeless. Her eyes just kept haunting me, in my dreams and now in real life. Who is this woman, why was she here! Why  was she so different and yet so familiar and why does my body desire her so much even more than I have ever wanted any woman in my entire life!

When I kissed her....I kissed her like my life depended on it...I was filled with hunger for her,,,an insatiable hunger..and when I moaned....my world was hazy and I had to pull out from under her spell...the lady is a witch no doubt! I make women moan....why would I moan for..for ...her..her of all people!

In the dream,  she was pulling off her cloths one by one like she had done that night when I had the accident, the only difference was that, I wasn't lying down helplessly, and she wasn't crying. She was giggling and I was standing behind her in the rain..I was kissing her...and those eyes..I had seen immediately I woke up and the spell just caught me and I was helpless....pathetic.

This would have to stop. I couldn't keep doing this else, I wouldn't be able to pull back the next time. I needed to keep resisting her until we are done with this marriage!

"Hi husband, are you ready?"

Damn!

"Please, I can bathe myself " I replied, my eyes shut.

"No you can't. You can barely stand."

"I said leave me alone!" I snapped at her. I was so tired of doing that, it even weakened me more.

SHe walked to my side and placed a cup of coffee on the table. The strong flavor of lipton tea hit me, I yearned for it.

"Please I need that".

"Well, you could have it after taking your bathe"

"I am not a child Kathia, I want my tea when I want it" I said sternly, getting annoyed.

"Miguel, I am not your bitch and I am not one of your servants, so you have no choice than to comply"

I groaned . I may have wanted her so much sometimes back, but right now, I just want to kill her! How could you feel both for the same woman!

"Come on Soldier, because of the tea turns cold, be sure I'm not making another"

She said sternly, wagging her index finger.

"Okay!" I yelled at her. "Can you just get on with it and come help me"

"Of course, there's nothing else I'd rather do"

I scoffed at the sarcasm in her tone and she came close to me,  putting my left arm around her, she held me steady as I managed to stand up..The blanket dropped on the floor, leaving only my trousers on.

"Gently, I am wounded okay!" I said to her as we walked slowly and steadily to the bathroom.

"Stop whining okay, you are a man, not a sissy"

"I am not a sissy"

"Well, then keep quiet and be grateful for once in your life that someone is taking care of you"

"You caused it, there is nothing to be grateful for"

"I didn't cause anything. If you hadn't been so stubborn and so deaf when I was warning you, all these wouldn't have happened" She pushed the door open.

"Maybe if you had minded your own business as we had both agreed on the wedding night, which you actually started. All these would never have happened. Such a nosy woman!"

"And you are a pervert! "

"I will take as a compliment.

"Enough!" I shouted at her as we got to the bathroom. I was having a headache already. "Help me into the tub"

SHe stared at me while my arm was still around her, I had to look down at her, she was really short..

"Do you mind saying 'please'?"

"Why would I say that? Didn't you know you were supposed to help me into the tub before asking to bathe me"

"Well, if you don't say, please, this is where you would sleep tonight" she replied, taking my hand off of her shoulders while I had to balance myself, holding the door.

She stood and leaned on the wall, arms akimbo.

"Are you kidding me woman! What is wrong with you! Are you crazy!"

She sighed, starring at her nails. "Well, I tried, but, you are just an idiot. So goodluck!" SHe said and was about to turn and go ..just as she brushed past me, I held her so quickly I staggered and I almost lost my balance but I collapsed  against the wall while her hair was scattered all over her face with my hands on her waist.

We were both standing and I was keeping us steady, or maybe it was the wall keeping us steady.

"What were you thinking, do you want to wound me too?" She screamed as she began pull back her hair from  her facebut without thinking, I pulled back the hair from her face and she stared at me . wondering what I was doing.  The truth was I had no idea, but the way those eyes were staring at me.. I felt hypnotized....I just wanted to melt into them...they were so beautiful...

"You really have beautiful eyes...."

WHat the hell,..,,,oh my God! DID I just say that!" I immediately took my hands off of her hair and waist .

"What?" She asked again.

"I said, I have got a beautiful tub. SO now, would you please, please, please, pleeeeeeeease, come help me with my bathe"

I noticed the look of disappointment which immediately vanished. I really do hope she hadn’t heard me the first time.

"That was faster than I thought" She replied and with her help, I managed to climb into the bath.

Just as she was about to switch on the tub.

"Oh..we have not even taken your trousers off"

I stared at her in horror.."No,no, no please no..please no"

Instead, she burst into  laughter as she turned on the switch and the water flooded out of the tube.

"I was kidding..who wanted to see you naked anyways.''

She kept chuckling to herself while I sighed in great relief.
