Michelle:

"The man who broke into the house earlier. Who was he?"

I ask father when he comes in to bid me goodnight.

Just before he stands to leave.

I'm just been too curious about the man since he left me in that hallway.

"Just a petty thief my dear."

he says after a long pause. 

I feel like he's lying to me.

How i wish i could look into his eyes.

The eyes always says the truth.

"What did he steal then?"

I press on.

"What do thieves usually want with rich people like me. He came for jewelries I'm guessing. Now get some sleep"

he says offhandedly.

"He wouldn't go to your office if he was here for that though. He could have just stolen the tv or something valuable in the sitting room."

I say and I hear his exasperated breath.

"you shouldn't concern yourself with a thief. If he had seen you, he would have hurt you without a second thought and any resistance from you, considering your condition"

He grinds out harshly and I grind my teeth against the sting of his words.

"yea, vulnerable blind me."

I mutter as I turn my back away from him.

"you know I didn't mean that Michelle."

he sounds frustrated but I don't pity him.

He's not the one stuck to infinite darkness for the rest of his life.

"Mara." 

I correct rudely without turning to face him.

"I'm sorry."

"yea, me too. Can you leave now? I'm sleepy."

. I can feel him close to me and I mentally beg for him to leave.

"Goodnight, Mara."

He finally says before leaving.

The door informing me of his exit from the room.

"That was uncomfortable."

The familiar voice laced with humour makes me jump to a sitting position.

"hey, calm down princess."

he chuckles.

"Come to steal again?"

I spit.

"Ah, she believes daddy."

he tease and I frown.

"Why don't you tell me what you are doing here then."

"That, I can't tell you."

"I guess I'll just believe daddy then."

"Why aren't you calling out to the guards outside?"

he asks casually. The dip of my bed tells me he's sitting on it now.

"There are guards outside?"

I ask.

"From the sound of their breath, I'll say they are three of them."

"you can hear their breaths from here?"

I strain my ears but only hear the quiet hum of the fan.

"They are quite noisy. How do they hope to catch me if they are that loud, i wonder."

the tsking sound of his tongue forces me to hold back a chuckle.

"Why are here if you knew they would be around me looking to catch you?"

I ask.

"Well for one, your dad's security detail sucks."

he says.

"and?"

"well, a certain princess asked to be taught how to defend herself."

"oh" 

I say.

"yea, oh."

He mimics.

"you ready?"

he continues and before I can reply, pieces of fabric rain slap my face.

"something comfortable for our ride to my martial arts studio."

he chuckles and I hear his footsteps walking away. Probably to give me privacy.

"jerk."

I mutter.

"I heard that!"

He calls from somewhere. 

I can tell he's in my bathroom.

How the hell does his ears work anyways? I shrug as I try to get into the leather ensemble he threw out me.

Trust me, it isn't an Easy task. But so much easier than asking him for help.

I can't have him backing out of teaching me how to fight.

I manage to pull on the clothes just as he walks back into the room.

"Is the leather necessary?"

I ask drily.

"Just wanted to see if you would put it on."

He bursts into boisterous laughter as I pout.

"jerk."

I mutter again

"you already said that. Now lets go."

he grabs my hand and pulls me up.

"How do i know you aren't kidnapping me?"

"well I'm sure you'll prefer kidnap to this boring life your dad has created for you."

He says and i nod. Its true.

"Make sure you have enough food to feed me well if this is kidnap."

I say smugly and he chuckles. 

I have a feeling, following this intriguing stranger out my bedroom's window would be the beginning of my new life.

"He should be out in few minutes."

William assures Dawn who's looking paler by the minute, sick with anxiety and worry.

"Are you okay?"

he looks concerned at her.

"I'm about to puke my guts out."

Dawn says wryly.

"sh*t. You should go to the ladies room."

"yea, I should."

Dawn stand up a little shaky from nerves.

She knows that if today doesn't go well, she's going to end up living permanently in the slums with a child.

It was too much for the teenager.

"need me to come with you?"

William calls after her.

"no. You don't want to miss your father when he comes out.

. I'll be fine."

Dawn assures him with a smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes.

A feeling of regret and guilt floods William as he watch the girl he loves suffer because of him.

Maybe he shouldn't have asked her to choose him.

He thought.

He has watched her struggle to cope with this life for a month.

Hopefully, after today, all will be well.

"Mr Williams right?"

the cheery voice bring William out of his thoughts as he notice the flight attendant smiling down at him.

"You are here for Mr William right?"

the lady asks again and he nods slowly.

How did she know.

"oh Mr William was told you would be here to see him."

she says as if reading his mind.

"is he coming out already?"

William asks.

"He says to bring you to him. He's in the first class lounge. He has to board another flight in ten minutes so he asked me to bring you to him before the flight boards."

she explains. William doesn't waste any time as he stands up to follow the flight attendant.

Afterall, he couldn't have his father leave on another long business trip again.

Not when he has a wife and child to think about now.

"this way please."

the flight attendant direct as she leads him deeper into the airport.

Williams eyes catch the sign for the ladies room and his mind goes to Dawn who wasn't yet back from there.

Maybe he should check up on her.

He thought.

"it's just the next room."

the flight attendant cajoles when he pauses in front of the ladies room.

"I just have to get my wife."

He says quickly.

"Mr Williams is a busy man and can't wait long."

"this will only take a mi--"

his words are cut off when the impatient flight attendant who quickly knock out the annoying teenager with a calculated blow to the back of the neck.

She let the kid slump on the airport's cold tiles before she drag his limp body into the men's room which has been previously evacuated for this mission.

She unfasten the stupid flight attendant's tie she bought from one of the airport's staff earlier that morning and bind the boy with it but not before injecting him with an anesthetic and undressing him.

She wastes no time in putting the boy's clothes on, over a black hoodie.

"He's on his way. I already spilled coffee on him. He should be in the men's room in three minutes."

her employer's voice says through the ear piece in her ear.

She push the boy into an empty stall and locked it securely before tying an handkerchief over her face, covering both her nose and mouth.

She pull on the hoodie over her head as she hear the toilet's door open. 

A middle aged man with coffee dripping from his sleeves comes in, lookin harassed.

Ofcourse the poor man didn't expect to be welcomed by his wife and for her to bathe him in coffee.

'Accidentally'.

She almost felt sorry for him.

"Don't move."

she says in a deep voice.

The man's eyes snap to hers. She register the shock then fear in them.

"who-who- are you?"

he stutters.

"The son of the woman you abandoned just because she cheated on you."

she recited the lines without error before firing two shots.

One to the arm and the other close to his chest.

Just to make it look like an unprofessional kill.

The old slumps to the ground as she pulls her phone out and call the police.

"Hello, there were gunshots in the airports men's room. There's blood too. Help. Please."

she fake sob down the line before ending the call.

She flush the phone down the toilet then dress Williams up in his own clothes, making sure to put the gun in his hand as he lays limp on the floor.

The police won't have a doubt in their minds at to the culprit to Mr Williams death when they find him here.

The assassin have to slap William awake once she was back in her flight attendant's uniform.

Confusion arrays the poor boy as he slowly comes to.

His eyes see the blood flowing towards him before he notices the gun in his hand.

"arrgggghhh"

he screams in shock when he sees his father lying limp close by.

"you!"

he snarls as he meets the assassin's eyes.

"you did this little boy."

she smirk as she saunter to the door.

"you know, prison isn't all that bad."

she says as the situation dawn on William.

"no! What are you doing?! This wasn't-"

his words get cut off as the woman slam the door shut.

"wait! I didn't!"

he throws the gun to the floor as he rushes to the door.

As soon as he pushes it open, a dozen police men are on him in seconds.

"stop! She's getting away. Get her!"

William yell but the police are all too happy to find their culprit so easily and quickly.

"you have the right to remain silent, boy."

one of the policemen tell him as they put him in handcuffs.
