My phone rang. It was a lazy morning. I could feel Austin's steady breath on my neck. The previous night we all slept late after a retreat.
"Hello." I said in a husky voice.
"Hello." Grace voice rang at the end of the line. I felt the excitement in her voice.
"Must be a good morning. You sound excited."
"You bet i am excited. You won't believe what just happened." She said.
"What happened? It better be good cause you woke me up."
"She is getting baptised. With Uri?"
"You mean Joyce?"
"Yeah."
"How did that happen?"
"What can i say my child. God works in miraculous ways."
"Indeed."
"I thought i should let you know. You pointed her to the right direction."
"Thanks Grace. I was only trying to save her marriage."
"Clearly God had them on another plan."
"Thanks for calling Grace. It is the best news to wake up to in the morning."
"Welcome. Say hi to the kids when they are up."
"Will do. Blessed day."
Who would have known? Divorce happened and it was hurtful but eventually it did us good

I placed my phone on the side and started to get out of bed. His muscular arms circled around my waist.
"Where do you think you are going?"
"To start making breakfast."
"We both know they won't be up anytime soon. We all slept late yesterday. And even if they wake up Lucy has it all covered."
I replaced my covers and snuggled beside him.
"Beside me is where you belong."
I laughed lightly.
"I love you Austin."
"I love you more Ella brooks."
In the end it worked out for good.
