Synder-Ella - Episode 21

“That is who?” Zichat asked again.

“The queen! Queen Porsha.!”

Zichat gasped, “are you serious?”

“Wait, whose phone is that and why do you have the queen’s number?”

Zichat wanted to reply but knowing the kind of person Katrina was, she changed her mind.

“You know what? I think it’s late and we really need to catch some sleep. We can’t do anything tonight because it is really late.”

Katrina frowned, “but I need to go to the....” She stopped as she remembered her shoes and clothes were not with her anymore.

“I don’t even know where my car is, I practically lost this competition, even without contesting. Thanks, Synder, for ruining my life. Can I at least call my mum, she must be worried sick.”

Zichat thought for a while, “okay, you can do that.” She said, passing her own phone and giving to Katrina while she excused herself to pee. Katrina watched her until she was out of the car, then she quickly dialed her mother’s number. She picked immediately.

“Hello, mum...”

“Oh, dear Lord, Katrina, where have you been? Your line has been switched on, are you okay? Did we win?”

“Calm down mum, look, I was kidnapped!”

“Oh my God! You were what? How are you now? Where are you? Does that mean you can’t continue with the competition?”

“Mum, Francis died, I’m to be blamed and Synder....”

“Don’t worry honey, we will light a candle for them but are you okay? Where are you?”

“Synder is not dead, mum, and I am fine, She has been kidnapped too.”

“What is all this nonsense about kidnapping up and down, what is the problem? Do you want me to send some money?”

“No mum, I just.,, will you just calm down for a minute!” She shouted angrily and her mother was quiet. “Look, Zichat rescued me.”

“Who’s she?”

. I don’t how she got to know where I was but I could swear that there is something going down here. How she gets to be there, where Synder is, and then she has this phone, I-phone X with her and there is no way that she owns the phone, the worst part is that she keeps calling one number and it has the picture of the queen on it.”

“So what are you saying?”

“I don’t know mum but something is really wrong.”

“Why don’t you steal the phone and find out?”

“I will do that once she sleeps.”

“Okay now, I will call you tomorrow...”

“So are you not going back to compete...”

“I can’t mum, I don’t even have any of my clothes again, and I am seriously messed up right now. I have to help Zichat find Synder, else I will ruin all my chances.”

“But you have so many fine clothes at home, can’t I send them?”

“I don’t have the shoe mum. I can’t wear any other cloth, look, I have to go.”

“Just make sure you do everything to compete, I won’t waste the money I spent in your training, you understanding me girl! If you get kidnapped again, that is on you, but do not be stupid!”

Katrina sighed and ended the call sharply.

Zichat squatted at the back of the car and began to flip through the phone. She went into the phone gallery, she knew that she could at least find one or two things about the owner of this phone.

She got to the gallery and found instead the same man, wearing a shirt and trousers on the field, in the market, and even in a tree. She frowned, there was no more picture of the queen and anything like that, just selfies of this man and whoever the other cute friend was. They dressed almost the same way...there was nothing interesting about him, she hissed and put off the phone, for a while, she had actually expected him to be a prince, what sort of a prince would climb a tree and take a selfie on it. She sighed and walked back to her car.

She realized that Katrina was already asleep and she had put her phone on the board for her. She sat down and locked the doors, then she adjusted the seat and closed her eyes, putting the phone beside Hers.

She was so tired and stressed out but in the morning, she would proceed.

Some minutes later, Katrina opened her eyes, she realized Zichat’s head was turned to the other side and that would mean that her eyes were closed, quickly, she took the phone and began to go through the messages, then she went to the pictures to satisfy her curiosity- when she saw the picture of the man-she smiled and put the phone back.

Then she rested again, closing her eyes. It was just as she had hoped, it was the queen, and Zichat had said in her messages with the Peter-guy that his friend was kidnapped with her own friend, which was Synder, and now mistakenly was Katrina. That would mean one thing, there were people that kidnapped her, and there were those that had taken Synder and the man.

She chuckled, she wouldn’t be competing again....she would be saving the prince, once the queen knows that her son is well and saved, that would beat any competition.

 This was just perfect!

IN A DARK ROOM.

 “You idiots! I can’t believe you let them escape!” The voice said over the phone.

“Look, we are sorry, there is no way they would have gone far in the night. The wood is dangerous in the night, they would find a place and rest for a while, then in the morning, we will go in pursuit of them!”

“But how come you couldn’t even get money from them before going, what kind of kidnappers are you? It’s just within a day and you couldn’t even do anything right! Why didn’t you kill the other guy?”

“Look, we will get them, I am sorry.” The man said and continued, “the lady was really difficult. She wouldn’t give us any number and the guy was no use to us but we never said we would kill anyone. She kept saying she was not a princess and that she was living with her stepmother, contrary to what you told us.”

“What? Step-mother? She was just trying to....hold on, describe her...”

“Not really tall, fine blue gown, pink shoes....”

“Did she talk like a princess? With authority, or she kept whining, tell me!”

“She was like a cry-cry baby.”

“Her hair, was it dark or brown?”

“Well, dark, I think.”

“The shoes, was she comfortable in them or she had to be pushing her feet into them and removing them?”

“Look, why are you asking us all these...”

“Because if it fitted her perfectly, then you didn’t kidnap my sister...you took our step-sister, Idiots! Just let them go, she is of no use to me! Damn!”
