The God And His Bride - Episode 36

"Alixi"

I call, standing on my lawn.

I look around for the 5th time this week, I've been doing this religiously for the past month and still no show. 

I refuse to acknowledge the despair trying to choke me, maybe he's finally given up on me, maybe he's set me free to do whatever I please. 

I wipe at my eyes as I turn to the steps of the foyer, sitting down on it, this evening we held a little party in honor of Mila and Jeter, finally going back to the realm, nobody acknowledged the fact that I was a god too, I should be going back. 

They believe I should hold on, Alixi will come, well, Mila believes this, Jeter just says he's ready for us to go back and begin dating again, Liang only wants to punch the living daylights out of Alixi. 

I pull my sweater around my body as the door opens behind me and mom steps onto the foyer. 

An afghan settles around my body and I turn around to send her a smile. 

"Why are you sitting out here pretty baby?" 

"Enjoying the cold air mum" I say and she nods, settling down besides me. 

"You know, when I had you, and you started doing all those stuff, the supernatural ones, I almost ran my self mad with guilt" She says and I turn to her, wondering what this is about, I and mum, we've never talked about my powers, we both know it's there, the things I can do, I know she accepts them but we've never talked about them. 

"Why? Why would you do that?" She smiles before looking up at the sky, pointing at a star, the North star. 

"I was very religious, very, I and your father, we went to an island, the Panchin island, those times there was war and he wanted me away from the gore, you were in my stomach, I was scared, one night I prayed to a God of a people I didn't know, asking him to guide you, keep you safe, bless you "she says and I stil, my heart does too. 

I've never heard this story, not once in my life. 

" When you were born, I knew you were different instantly, the way you moved, talked, interacted, it was so obvious that the God of a people I did not know answered my prayer, but when Liang was born, I saw the way he behaved, acted and I understood that in fact the God answered my prayers double times. "

" What ever is plaguing you my child, why don't you pray to this God? Uh? Maybe he will answer, seeing as he's been guiding you all this while? "She says and I nod, she kisses my head before getting up and heading inside. 

I close my eyes and I pray but still nothing happens.

I pull my rented car into the little cottage and I look it over. 

So, coming on a vacation to pachin Island might have been a spur of the moment thing but it was worth it. 

The culture surrounding me, the sound of the ocean, I could hear it all, being here feels like being home. 

I couldn't get this place out of my mind since mum mentioned it 2 weeks ago, so I got on a plane and came down, I'm a woman with lots of money and time. 

I look at the quaint cottage I will be calling my home for the next little while and I have to say that it's possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. 

I pop the trunk of my car and I grab my suitcase, wheeling it in. 

Since Alixi has decided not to have anything to do with me, I've decided that I will come to him. 

It's going to take more than a little silence from him to push me away, he did it for a while back when I was little, how well did that work out for him? 

I settle into the house, drawing a bath and spritzing myself from up to down, I even got a new hair cut, i straightened my long hair. 

I throw on a little sun dress as I grab my flip flops and a sunglasse. 

OK, Alixi, since you've decided to be a diva, it's up to me to make you mad. 

I'm going to flirt with everything that is male in this island. 

You just sit and watch from your throne.
