The Homecoming - Episode 22

"what are you doing?"

I turn from Sage's balcony and turn to sage, I smile.

"Don't smile at me pretty girl, you know the doctor said to keep you warm"

I nod and it takes effort not to roll my eyes at his nagging, he doesn't like eye rolls.

"I wanted to soak some sunlight before we leave for my house"

He shakes his head and leads me to the bedroom.

"Am going to go get Alec, so get ready"

I nod, he kisses my lips lightly and exits the room.

It's been 21 days since the kidnapping incident, I was shot but it only grazed the side of my arm, I have a wicked scar but I love it, it's does wonders for my street cred.

I scared sage with my passing out, and justice about climbed the wall of my hospital room just to get into the surgery room.

Justin is .. well.. Justin, told me not to scare him like that again, and we are good.

Alec had to be put on 24 hour surveillance because we thought he would have some psychological breakdown, but surprisingly that is yet to happen.

Wesley and Steve and Evelyn Osas are probably not going to see the light of day again thanks to sage and justice.

I couldn't believe that Justin is a part of the nation's secret service, that's why he is gone so much, me and him, we are gonna talk about that.

Sage is now being seriously over protective, made I and Alec come to his house after we got out of the hospital, Sandra and I have been living it.

This is the first night am going home since the incident, justice really put his foot down, I think he misses me.*wink.wink*

Sage's parents will be coming to Nigeria from the Caymans next week and he wants me to meet them.

I think our relationship is going well, I really love him.

I think now that I am back and settled it's time I find a girl for my brothers, heard justice had a girl when I was gone but I don't know what happened, well am here.

Sage enters the room and I turn to him.

"Come on little bird, Alec is ready"

I nod my understanding and we walk downstairs to the car, I see Alec holding hands with Sage as we walk down the stairs and I smile.

It's gonna be super fine.

When we get to the house justice is waiting, no sign of my father, I don't know what justice plans to do about him and I would be a big liar if I said i cared.

Alec runs to justice and I see how drawn he looks, he is trying to look ok but I know he is worried, must not have been any help not seeing me for a while.

We walk in and go to the dinning, Justin is there with Sandra and I see him making an effort to ignore her.

Did I forget to mention that my match making is not working, my stupid hard hearted brother is breaking my best friends heart.sigh.

I turn to sage when he tugs at a strand of my hair, he pulls out a chair for me and i see justice went all out, the spread before me is awe inspiring, can't wait to have a bite.

A little while later and conversation is flowing the mood is okay, we are having tiramisu for dessert, I turn to Alec to wipe chocolate off his face when the room goes quiet.

I turn wondering what happened when I see sage on one knee, oh my world.

My hand goes to my mouth, I think, I think am going to faint.

"Julliet bird Maxwells, make me the most lucky  a**hole alive by saying yes to my proposal".

I would have rolled my eyes if I wasn't so overwhelmed, only Sage can ask and at the same time demand.

He frowns when no answer comes forth from me.

"You enjoying seeing me on my knees baby? Don't think I like this position"

I get knocked back to reality when Sandra nudges my feet under the table.

"Say yes momma"

I nod and smile and nod and smile and nod and smile and nod and smile, I can't stop nodding and smiling.

"You know I need the words baby"

"Yes Sage Jacobs, I will marry you".

He smiles as a cat got the cream smile and slip the ring on my finger.

He kisses me hard on my lips and I melt , OMG am putty for this man.

"Love you soon to be Julliet Jacobs"

"And i love Sage Jacobs".

He kisses my brows and takes his seat, I turn to Sandra and we both squeal at the ring, it's an emerald cut ring, most be about 4 carats diamond, it's so beautiful, we squeal again and I hear justice say something.

"That shit was seriously sappy sage, didn't know you had it in you"

Sage flips him the bird and takes a swing of his whisky, God I love this man.

"So since this is all cool and stuff am gonna take this opportunity to ask you sister kin,you happy?"

I turn to Justin at his question, I nod.

"Yes am happy, am really happy"

I say this while looking at sage and holding Alec's hand.

He winks at me and I nearly sigh .

Hey, have I mentioned I loved this guy, coming home was so worth it.
