Stella had been in the Rendezvous bar for over 3 hours waiting for Jake to turn up.

She regretted ever making such a stupid move.

The lousy waiter ought to come here as instructed or does it mean he did not understand the note?

No, she saw him from the restaurant window reading it when she was about to enter Amaka's car.

Then a thought occurred to her, Maybe he called Amaka and told her! Such a moron! She did not have his contact if not she would have called him by now. She then decided to call Amaka.

"Hello Amaka, how are you?"

"I am fine Stella."

Amaka replied drowsy over the line.

"Are you asleep? You slept early today"

said Stella and Amaka laughed over the phone.

"Babe I can't help it. Jake just gave me the service of my life

Stella's expression changed.

So He went and slept with Amaka instead of coming here to dine with her.

The fool!

"Hello? Stella are you there?"

Amaka asked.

"Oh yea, just that I did not expect you to be in Jake's arm so soon."

Stella said.

She heard Amaka yawned lazily.

She must have received a good services from Jake.

She wanted to cut the call but Amaka said quickly that she will come over the next day and tell her about it.

Stella concurred and end the call.

At least Jake was wise enough not to tell Amaka about her arrangement tonight.

She stood up, paid for her drink and went out of the hotel bar in such a devastating state of mind.

Jake with Amaka at last!

What on earth was she doing supporting Amaka to have a guy in her life? She had been her only companion since her marriage became a turmoil.

There is no hidden fact that Amaka was bored with her money and she had been spending it freely on her for 2 years now.

Any intruder will just cast a spanner in the works.

Stella took a taxi and went home.

She was still brooding over the issue when she arrived her husband's house.

She unlocked the door and went inside.

Dr. Uche her husband was reading in the sitting room.

"Good evening honey"

she greeted him and made to go inside her room.

"You are late again"

said Dr. Uche.

Stella paused on her stride, then walked to him and sat near him on the couch.

"I am sorry but Amaka insisted I should stay. Her husband was late again so she was terribly in need of a company"

explained Stella.

"Mark came to the hospital today, he looked disturbed and left early. I wonder where he went to"

Said Dr. Uche.

"He must have went to drown himself with liquor"

suggested Stella.

Her husband hissed and turned his attention back to the book he was reading.

Stella stood up and walked into her room.

She removed her clothes, entered the bathroom and immense herself in the bath tub.

She opened the warm water tap and rubbed her body richly with bathing lotion.

She spent sometime thinking about Jake.

She did not really fancy Jake.

No, he is far beyond her class.

When she realized Amaka was falling for Jake, she had decided to act fast.

Her aim was to seduce Jake and make Amaka see how cheap the waiter is.

This will make her miserable and dependent on her for consolation once more.

If Amaka ever succeeded in falling in love with Jake, the free meals, shopping and the little cash gifts that often comes her way will automatically be a forgotten tale.

She will spend all her time and everything she have on Jake.

Look at the beautiful bungalow she rented as their love nest and even bought a brand new Jaguar for him! No, Jake won't take all the credits.

She must do something to separate them both and be in a better position to gain more access to Amaka's wealth.

The earlier the better...
