Marco Phandisca
Children ran round the field playing their favorite game of tag. It was a bright and sunny morning at the orphanage but at the corner were three teenagers. One leaning against the tree his eyes half closed while the other pair, a boy and a girl, played chess. They never really understood why they were so entangled with each other but they were closer than even blood related families.
Marco Phandisca recalled the day he was brought to the orphanage as he looked at the two playing chess with half shut eyes.
He was just 6 years old but looked matured for his age. He was so cold and distant having gone through all of the hardships that had happened in his life. He grew up too fast.
Ever since he was born and diagnosed for having no talent in martial arts, he had been discarded and neglected with the title of the useless son of the baron in a small city in the country of Exodus. The exact opposite of his father. Where he was useless, his father had a lot of glory from rescue missions, to victories in wars and hailed for his bravery by the populace. But of course, he also had a fault, he was too cruel

. Underneath all of the glory he was a scum to his own family.
His father had one day beat his mother to the brink of death and when she recovered, she turned all her hatred on Marco who was just 4 years old at that time. That was the day Marco’s life changed for the worse.
With cuts and bruises on his skin he would always stay up late crying and although people heard everyone would neglect him; The maids, butlers, cleaners and cooks.
They could only pity him. Not one of them was ready to lose their jobs for the son no one cared about. They could only throw pitiful glances because Marco’s mother had told them not to approach a curse like him when he was being ‘disciplined’.
But over time, Marco Phandisca understood hate, clenched his teeth when the rod fell on his body while staring at his supposed to be mother in her eyes. During this year, his father took in another wife and his step mother was no different. No, she was. She was worse.
She had his father in the palm of her hands especially when the Baron found out she was pregnant with a boy.

. What will the baron do then with Marco and his mother? Nothing, except to neglect them and sooner or later evict them from the family.
The news and the pressure from the Baron’s new wife pushed Marco’s mother to commit suicide.
Marco had seen how his mother pushed the stool away and watched his mother struggle for air before she died and still no emotion reflected on his face. He wasn’t sure how he felt. He was just an empty vessel and when he turned six his stepmother had him shipped away saying,
"a useless son like you isn't allowed in this family, plus your mother is already dead" she spat to the ground "such a shallow woman"
Marco wasn't one bit angry nor did he want revenge. He packed a bag and walked out never looking back till he arrived at the orphanage.
---
After a few days since his arrival all the kids stayed away from him. He wasn’t friendly neither did he smile but a pair of twins with golden locks and blue eyes always stuck close to him. He wasn’t sure why but they annoyed him to no end.
When the other children ran when he scowled, their eyes would turn big and bright in wonder only annoying him more.
Now, several years had passed since then and he couldn’t understand how this pair of twins snuck into his heart. and had resigned himself to take care of them.
Having waited an extra two years for the twins to reach the minimum requirement to leave the orphanage; which was sixteen years old,
He could finally take a step out of this place without worry.
“Brother. I think it is time to leave” the twins packed the board game into their bag as they slowly got up dusting the grass away.
“mmm” Marco hummed an answer to the boy and got off the ground looking into the distance, his eyes still as emotionless while his black hair swayed gently in the wind.

No one ever suspected that Marco Phandisca’s step into the outside world with his siblings behind him shoke the entire Continent. Not only were they powerful, their bond was unbreakable.
