**** ALEXA'S POV

Sparks.

Fireworks.

That's literally everything I felt when William's lips came crushing down on mine.

I held my breath as his lips grazed over mine waiting for permission.. For me to give him space.

He was stopping himself from claiming my lips.

He wanted a go ahead.

My breaths became laboured as I continued to purse my lips.

And that's when I felt him moving away from me.

No..no..

"I'm..sorry.. I've never done this before"

I whisper, fidgeting. That made him stop, and he turns with a shocked expression on his face.

"You've never been Kissed before?"

I just nod.

He walks back towards me and traps me yet again,his face dangerously close.

My breath hitches.

I could literally smell the sweet scent of his pomade.

I stare up at him, licking my lips.

His eyes darkens.

"I'm going to kiss you now."

It wasn't a question.

No.

It was a statement, making me aware of his intentions beforehand.

I nod.

And that was all it took for williams lips to posses mine.

His right hand rested tenderly on my cheek as he kissed me slowly, so slow you would think he was scared of breaking me.

It wasn't after a few seconds did I kiss him back, picking up on his rhythm and pace.

As I kiss him back, he groans and deepens the kiss,his tongue swiping over my lower lips.

I gasp at the sensitivity of his touch and he slides his tongue past my lips into my mouth, exploring me, meeting me pace for pace.. I trail my fingers up his spine and he shivers against my touch.. It pleases me to know I have an effect on him. Bringing my hands up, I wrap my arms around his neck just as he picks me up without breaking the kiss.

My legs instinctively wraps around his torso and he presses me to the wall, his lips leaving mine and then trailing down my chin until he reached my neck.

He sucks on the skin lightly and bites.

A mo*n escapes me.

My fingers find his outgrown hair and grip them.

He groans, his lips travelling back up to claim my lips once more.

I'd give anything to kiss this man over and over again.

We finally pull away to get some air as he sets me down slowly.

As soon as my legs hit the floor, they feel wobbly and immediately lean into William wrapping my arms around him to steady myself.

"You okay?"

He asks softly, staring intently at me.

His gaze was so intense I had to look away,biting my lip.

"Y...yes"

I stutter out of breath.

Darn! That kiss sure knocked the breath out of me.

He nods and then let's go off me.

I immediately feel dizzy and my legs almost gave me away until William grips my waist to steady me.

"You're not okay. You're still weak. You need rest"

he tells me.

"It's probably because I've not taken my pills in a few days"

I answer and he frowns.

Another wave of dizziness hits me and I grip him tighter.

"Alexa, you're weak."

He says before bending a little.

"Hold on tight"

he says and before I could grasp what he meant, his hand goes under my thighs as the other goes on my back.

I almost squeal as he lifts me up bridal style,instinctively I tighten my grip.

I nuzzle my face into his neck as he begins to walk.

Soon my back hits the soft mattress.

"You didn't even finish your soup Alexa"

he scolds me staring at the half drank soup.

I stare at my fingers refusing to meet his eyes.

I can't tell him my secret.

Not now. I hear him sigh.

"I've noticed how you skip your meals Alexa. Sometimes you eat only once a day. I don't know why you're doing this but I hope you'll tell me one day"

he says softly and I just nod.

He was being nice to me and I don't want to ruin it by saying something to make him snap and go back to being rude.

"Get some sleep. I'll prepare you something and you'll have to eat everything yeah?"

He orders and begins to tuck me in bed,covering me with the duvet all the way to my neck like a child.

"I'm not a child you know. Stop tucking me in bed"

I whine and just chuckles. He hovers over me,places a lingering kiss to my forehead and whispers

"Go to sleep Rose"

I smile as I drift off.

This is the second time he has called me rose.

WILLIAM

Darn it! This woman is going to be the death of me.

How does she manage to make me hate her and then want her so badly with just a smile?.

I think back to how panicked I was when she passed out.

How it felt extremely heavenly to have her lips on mine.

She claimed she'd never been kissed but hell, her kisses were enough to make a man go on his knees.

I sigh as I mke my way out of her room.

How long do I have to keep her hating her? Remind me.

"What do you mean she isn't picking up your calls?!"

Alice's voice thunders.

"I do not know.I'll try again after a while. It's switched off at the moment"

Lydia answers.

"You better get her to tell you her whereabouts. I'm running out of patience!"

Alice sneers and hangs up. Lydia sighs..

ALEXA'S POV

Turning in bed, I scramble for my phone and switch it on as I sit up,yawning.

I've been asleep for two hours.

I sigh.

Just as I was about to put my phone down, my phone dings.

It was a text message from Lydia.

My brows furrow in confusion as I read the message over and over again.

What's this supposed to mean.

I reply her, telling her to come meet me somewhere.

Pulling the duvet away from my body, I jump out of bed and walk out in search of William.

I find him in the living room, seated on a couch behind a laptop probably working on an assignment..

"Hey"

I say meekly.

He turns.

"Hi. How are you feeling?"

"Much better. Umm I need to go somewhere"

He frowns.. I sigh. Here we go again.

"I'm not your slave!"

He snaps.

Ah,how I missed his sweet replies.

Note the sarcasm.

Plastering a fake smile on my face, I reply

"Technically I'm your boss. You work for me. I pay you so you drive me wherever, whenever I want"

"Well you and I are stuck here and I've been handed the responsibility to protect you. And yep I'm your driver but without me you can't go anywhere because you don't know a thing about driving"

Now it was my turn to frown.

"Touch"

I grumble and he smirks.

I snort at that.

"Pig!"

He teases.

"Demon!"

I glare at him

"Witch!"

Grumbling as I roll my eyes.

And that's how one hour later, after back and forth bickering, we are here parked a distance away from the filling station waiting for Lydia to arrive.

I notice William pull out a gun.

I shriek. I had seen Mr Dante give it to him for safety purposes but I never thought he'd take it out.

"Relax, I won't shoot you"

he says.

Next, he pulls out a handkerchief, a small bottle then sprinkles the liquid on the handkerchief.

"It's chloroform. Just in case"

he explains and I nod though it won't be necessary.

Because I had purposely asked Lydia to meet me far away from the beach house.

I need answers.

Twenty minutes later, a cab pulls up and Lydia alights.

She types on her phone and places it to her ear.

Who's she talking to? After talking, she pulls out something like a stick.

My eyes widen when I realise it's a cigarette.

She lights it with a lighter and pushes it into her mouth.

She puffs out smoke which I could see from where we are parked, coming out of her nostrils.

Since when does Lydia smoke? I feel like I don't know her at all.

"I don't trust her"

William says beside me. Me too.

I'm beginning to lose trust in her. 

In her text message, she had me she was in deep trouble.

But staring at her right now, typing away on her phone and smoking like nobody's business, I began to confirm my doubts.

"Will? Give me the hanky, I think we'll need the chloroform after all"  I say.

He smirks 

"when you speak like this,makes me wanna kiss you. Again"

And he was back to being nice..I blush and look away.. I think he's bipolar.

One second he's mad, the next he's smiling.

Looking at him right now, with his moustache and beard on with the contact lenses, I wonder why I never recognized him.

Sure,his original brown eye colour was now black.

Maybe that's why..

"Shall we mademoiselle?"

William asks dramatically and I snicker, stepping down.

I Iove it when he's this sweet.

"Sure Monsieur"

I reply and he smiles.

"Go on. I'll distract her"

he tells me and I nod. I wait for William to walk towards her before I sneak out, rounding my way to the other side so I go behind her without her noticing.

As I stand behind, I contemplate whether to go ahead or not.

She's my friend after all and maybe those flashes I had were figments of my imagination.

Suddenly, I notice her phone that was stuffed halfway in her back pocket with the screen picking out light up.

I bend and squint closer.

It was a text message alert from an ID with the name

"A"

Why would she save a number as A?

Due to the fact that the screen was locked, I managed to catch a glimpse of the message.

"I'm getting impatient. Have you reached her at the filling...."

That's all I could read. Was Lydia going to meet up with someone else? That's when I recall the last word.

"Filling.."

Was the full word, filling station? Because she's currently meeting me here. I frown.

That backstabbing b*tch! Pulling out the handkerchief,I gesture to William who quickly grabs Lydia and holds her down while I press the handkerchief to her nose.

She struggles for a few seconds and then goes limp as the chloroform takes effect.

"What do we do? Some one might see us? Why are even doing this?"

Will questions.

"I'll tell you later. For now,let's take her inside the car and tie her up"

Oh, she's so gonna get it.
