Unholy Condemnation - Episode 3

UNHOLY Ikenna entered his house and moved straight to the kitchen.

His mind had been occupied prodigiously with the thought of the super mart girl and he is fighting very hard to get rid of this sudden intense feeling.

He opened the cupboard and took out his pot, activated the gas cooker and set the pot on fire.

He was about to add water to the pot when he heard a noise behind him.

He froze and with pounding heart, he slowly turned round; standing on the door of the kitchen was Janet.

"Must you sneak around that way?" Ikenna said with relief.

He wasn't aware Janet is in the house.

"Welcome. I did not hear when you came in"

replied Janet.

She was dressed in black turtle neck, long sleeved polo, black denim jeans that set off her amazing figure 8 and black high heeled tomb raider boots.

Her long hair hung freely around her shoulders.

She looked extremely beautiful.

"When did you arrived?"

Ikenna asked, trying not to look at her.

"A few minutes ago. You wanna cook? Be quick about it, I am hungry."

Janet said with finality and walk away swinging her broad hip.

A few minutes later Ikenna heard the home theatre spark to life and a hiphop music blasting from the woofers.

This is one thing he hated about Janet.

She is wild, bossy, lazy, crazy, and utterly rotten in bed.

Sometimes Ikenna wondered how he managed to end up with such a wild cat.

Though her father's business link and Tony's friendship played a bigger part in their relationship.

Nevertheless, he tried never to get stuck with Janet.

She will just drive him nut if he becomes stupid enough to marry her.

"Well, we are only dating. If I want to marry I will find myself a nice kid that will make me happy."

Having said this to himself, He began to think of the super mart sales girl again.

She was completely the opposite picture of Janet.

If only he will be opportune enough to have her in this house.

With the thought of the girl occupying his mind, He absent mindedly cook the pasta and chopped meat he bought from the super market.

He went to the sitting room to get water from the fridge and found Janet nursing a glass of vodka and iced soda.

He turned and wanted to go back to the kitchen when Janet called him to join her

. "I'm busy in the kitchen. I don't want the food to burn."

Ikenna replied defensively.

The last thing he wanted now was to listen to Janet's yak about the latest fashion train cat-walking and foreign modeling contracts.

"You always find an excuse to avoid me"

Janet accused him and sip her drink calmly.

Her eyes never left the standing figure of Ikenna

"No dear, Give me some time.

Smiled Ikenna nervously as walked towards the kitchen.

He checked the pasta and added a little water to it.

He was opening a bottle of tomato ketchup when Janet Cat-walked into the kitchen with the glass of vodka in her hand.

"Smell nice."

She said and opened the pot of the stewed beef, helped herself with a spoon and plate; selected a number of meat from the pot.

She put them in a plate and ate with relish.

Ikenna watched her silently as she washed the meat down with the vodka and smiled.

"It tastes great. Come on, Let's have a taste of the pasta"

"Sweetheart you are distracting me. Allow me to cook please."

Ikenna said as calm as he could.

"Oh shut up! You always give excuses and you know how I hated excuses"

Retorted Janet.

She dumped the used plate in the sink and sat on top of the low cupboard, downed her drink and glared at Ikenna.

"You should be happy a beautiful damsel like me accepted a moron like you as a friend. With my money I can afford to have 10 guys if I feel like it. So don't think you are that important"

"I know, Miss Fortune. Besides you are full of yourself but who cares. Anyway, I am equally hungry so allow me to cook. I strictly wanted to be left alone."

Ikenna said, fighting hard to control his voice.

Janet stared at him for some seconds, glanced at her empty glass and stood up.

"Is that so? Well I will leave you alone. Don't think you have won because I am going to refill my glass and better be ready to explain to me what you meant by me thinking only of myself."

She said and exited with swinging hip.

Ikenna sighed, closed the kitchen door and bolted it.

He calmly continued with his cooking....
