Why the Pretence - Episode 15

After that day, Jane stopped attending our fellowship, she even moved out of the hostel, all efforts to call her was futile, her number was barely reachable, even when it rang, she cuts the call.

Chioma on the other hand, served all her punishment, even while she was indisposed,  PST Grace voluntarily gave her a Break, she refused, saying she is ready to go through any pain and suffering, just for her to be forgiven by God. By the end of the semester, she finished her workers training, and was put a department in the church as a worker and Pastor Laide also suspended her punishment totally and prayed for her.

The semester break was just three weeks, I decided to stay in school,  my parents Sent me some food stuffs and cash, the church was very strict and more concerned with the affairs of the members and workers, committee was also set to follow up the church workers and members,  the church was now more discipline.

Pastor Daniel, since he became the vice president of the fellowship was also calm and we'll behaved, he was more sincere, we even became friends. There was no longer this large space or barrier between excecutives and workers, everyone was well respected and good. Though we still had pretenders everywhere but it was at a minimal rate, you can't force everyone to be good, there must still be a stubborn fly.

Handing over was finally here, the service that day was awesome the time everyone was waiting for was finally here, who will take this fellowship to another best level, the new excos where called, Kelvin was now the drama coordinator, Pride was the sisters cordinator, Praise was the choir coordinator, other excos was called, time for president and vice orpreside.

I was not really happy because my name wasn't mentioned, but with the kind of excos that was selected, my face kept glittering, all of a sudden, I saw people carrying me down, I didn't even hear my name, or the position, it was when they said the president is,  I knew I was the vice president, I was crying because I knew the volume of the work I was getting to, I wanted to make a different in God's vineyard in my little way, but I never knew that God had a bigger plan

. The president was the former MD, Now pastor Mike, I was very happy, we where prayed for by the Zonal coordinator.

My hostel when they heard the news, they where very happy, most of them switch to my fellowship, I never knew I was that loved in the hostel .

I decided that, I will make sure I find Jane and convince her to do the right thing , I called her number, her dad picked the call informing me she was sick.

I told PST Mike about it, we paid her a visit, her house was just #250 from the school, we went with the church bus , with some other excos and the past president Grace. On our way to the  place, Chioma called us, she said,  Good afternoon sir, I had a dream, she explained the dream .

When we got there, Jane's conditions was so worse that some of the excos cried for her, hospital had even rejected her, her dad was not bothered, he only said I warned her about her way  of life, but she wouldn't listen.

We prayed for her, she could not even speak, she requested for a paper, she wrote please carry me to the church, I want to pay my debt before I die, it was a confirmation of Chioma's dream.

With her father's consent, we took her to the church, as she cleans the church daily she became better and started talking,  by the end of the semester her punishment was suspended, she said she had something to tell the church, she acknowledge that she was a sinner, and she also told us a shocking news that she had 3days to live, the whole church was quiet, after the church punished me, I started sleeping around, and one of the men I slept used me for ritual and told me , I had 45days to live and since then I have been sick, my advice to you all is to flee from sin, don't think you are wiser than God, if you are punished by the church don't hesitate to do it, it is whomever the father love the he chastised, stop the pretence, stop pretending to be holy, seek he first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other things will be added to you, if you want to lead or be something in God's vineyard ,it is normal to want to be something,  but first live holy, holiness is the way.

The church later made 7 days intercessory prayers for Jane, she recovered fully to our surprise, God gave her a second chance, the 3days she said was her ultimatum to live, the ritual man replaced her, he died. 

That event really instilled fear in our members and workers, when Jane made an altar call, many people came outside.
