She paces in the living room,
Looking at the wall clock ticking,
It is wee hours of the morning,
Her husband is not yet back.
She had earlier put the kids to sleep,
Tried sleeping myself but sleep has eluded her,
She calls but he rejects her calls,
Now, his phone is switched off.
She knows he is a philander,
She has seen evidence,
He beats her,
She can't divorce him.
He comes home drunk and disheveled,
She questions him about his whereabouts,
As usual, the beatings comes,
She looses consciousness.
She slowly regains consciousness,
Her family and friends are with her in the hospital,
The doctor says she lost her pregnancy,
Her husband and her feels sad.
She tells him she wants a break,
She can't divorce him though,
Call her stupid but she took a vow at the altar,
He feels dejected when she leaves with their kids.
Months later, he changed,
Her absence had made him appreciate her and his kids.
He is no more the wife-beater
Her prayers yielded fruit.
Power of prayer.
She's one lucky lady.Good job dear
Thankyou.
