My Adventure - Episode 3
It Is Time To Work
“Learn as though you would never be able to master it; hold it as though you would be in fear oflosingit”
--- Confucious
The weekend was very superb and full of fun, the fresher party was outspoken, to cut it short, I really enjoyed the weekend to the fullest. I worshipped with the Baptist Students Fellowship (B.S.F), where all the newly admitted students were celebrated. The leader of the fellowship admonished us to always put God forward in all things we lay our hands on and we should abstain from every ungodly things ragging in the campus. Finally he encouraged us to face our studies squarely.
It was Monday, I have 5 good courses to do, I got to the class very early and I was able to seat in the front, I really enjoyed the lectures and I was able to answer some of the questions the lecturer asked from the whole class of about 400 students.
I drew to the conclusion that I have a good future in my academics life, I made friend with different people of several tribes. The whole week was full of academics work, even some of the lecturers gave us test, I was surprised, but I tried my possible best. We were bombarded with numerous assignment and I was depressed with this, because we were to type it. I didn’t have a computer let alone of printer, when I got home, I called the guy I met on my first day on campus and he promised to help me, we both agreed to meet at the school e- library.
We entered the white painted building called library; we dropped our library I.D card to the man in charge after which we moved to the available computer

. I was frightened in the front of the system, but later on I overcame the fear The guy really helped me with the assignment and he also taught me several things on the computer. I packed the printed assignment and we went out of the library without paying any dine. I was surprised at this scenario, but my guy later explained to me that we have paid it together with the school fees.
This very day I was opportuned to know his house though he didn’t resides on campus, we boarded a campus shuttle that will take us to his house, after some minutes we reached the place,. The house was located in a siren environment, no noise at all every where is just cool just like a river side. We entered a room in no minute, I was astonished when I saw different gadget in the room like television, refrigerator, dvd, wardrope, and so many gadgets I thought I enter a wrong room when I saw all these because I didn’t think a student can have all that appliances.
After some minutes of looking all around, I sat down, he entertained me with chicken and malt which I really enjoyed. After eating, we discussed about so many thing that can disturb me from achieving my aims in the university like, cultism, yahoo yahoo, womanizing, examination malpractices and so many others, it was from our conversation that he told me he is also a law student but he is now in 400 level and also he is from a rich home. It was as if I shouldn’t leave his house but I have to because I have to do some other things at home.
As I was about to leave he gave me 500 naira for my transport and also some past questions so that I would be able to read before examination. I was very happy. He encouraged me to always go to the school library to read and do research on anything that I do not understand. He also told me to always come to him in case I have any problem with any of my courses.
