“Hold on, I don’t understand.” Sonia said as the screen went off. “ Does this mean that now that the ruby is out, the lady is not a puppet of the black widow or what?”

“No, no no. This can’t happen.” Shrek said, tapping the couch with his finger.

“What is it boy?” Calvin asked, unable to understand what was going on.

“Even if the ruby is out, nothing should happen to the lady.” Shrek stated.

“I don’t quite follow.” Sody finally said.

“Look. Fabian said....” Sonia started.

‘I don’t know Fabian but I damn know my parents and how brilliant my father was.” Shrek announced standing up and dipping a hand into his back pocket to bring a little journal. It looked so old that he had to open the chapters carefully.

“Look, I found this in my father’s stuff where he spoke about the ruby.” He said and Sonia stood up to join as they studied the writing together.

“According to this journal, the ruby is ...let me say, like an Auminium sulfate, shortly known as alum,when added to raw water reacts with the bicarbonate alkalinities in the water and forms a gelatinous precipitate. This floc attracts other fine particles and suspended material in raw water,and Settles down at the bottom of the container”

“English please!” Calvin shouted.

. “Imagine dipping a little stone of alum in a cup of water that is filled with particles. You know that the particles will settle at the bottom of the water, so when you take the alum away, it doesn’t mean that the particles will come up because parts of the alum have dissolved into the water, thus the particles remain at the bottom.

That is how the ruby works, take it away, nothing will happen to the lady still. She is already fortified, her blood has mixed with the ruby, it is strongly fortified against any external attack.”

“But, we all saw her now, she is complying to what her father said.” Sody shouted.

“She must be faking it.” Calvin blurted. “If she is faking it, that means, she is hiding something that we all don’t know and that could jeorpardise our plan.”

“Exactly.” Shrek shouted.

“So what do we do?” Sonia asked.

“Well, we have to find the ruby.” Calvin and Shrek both said at the same time and then looked at each other. Surprised that they were reasoning alike.

“But we don’t even know who has the ruby right now.” Sonia replied nervously.

“Well, we don’t but we do have someone with a psychic power.” Sodi replied. “Come Shrek, come with the journal and everyone put off the lights. I will find us the ruby.”

Some minutes later, they were all sitting in a total darkness with just the light from a candle which Madam Kofi brought that illuminated the room. Sody knelt in the center as the rest joined hands. She held Shrek by the shoulder and laid the other hand on the journal while she closed her eyes.

“Everyone , I need you to gaze at the candle light and just concentrate on the ruby, that is how we will find it.”

Calvin wanted to talk but Sonia shot him a look which shut him up. Some seconds later, everywhere was as quiet as the grave yard.

Sodi was speaking in an unknown language, Calvin was trying hard not to laugh while Sonia kept pinching him as they sat together. Finally, sodi opened her eyes.

“Laura!” Sodi announced and opened her eyes.

“Well...” Calvin finally spoke.

“I have a name-Laura,.

“So how are the triads?” Calvin asked but Sodi ignored him.

“We need to contact Fabian, we need to tell him.” Sonia suggested.

“No, it will be too risky, especially if it is true that he is being suspected. “ Calvin put in.

“So how do we get it then?” Sody asked.

“We will use someone else, perhaps someone that is least suppected.” Calvin replied.

“Like a child?” Shrek asked.

“Yea, like that.” Calvin replied.

“Well, I have the perfect kid.” Shrek replied and brought out a phone. Quickly he dialed a number and put to loudspeaker. “Hi Lisa baby.”

“Asshole what do you want?” It was the voice of a lady.

“Come on, I didn’t mean to walk on you when you were naked, you refused to date me and that was a compensation for me so let it go Lisa. Please doc!”

The lady scoffed. ‘What do you want Shrek? I am a busy woman you know?”

“Yes I know. I just want to know I little Freddie is still spending his hols with you in Nigeria.”

“Sure why do you ask?”

“Because I miss him and I want him to come see me, I have the latest PS6 which he would love.”

“Nope.”

“Look, I know he is with you because his parents travelled for their exhibition and I know you both don’t get along, so see it as a favour to get him off your hands for just one day.”

The lady was quiet for a while. “Okay, you can have him, but just for few days.”

Shrek grinned. “Thank you. Will tell you once I get to Nigeria.” He ended the call and grinned.

“Well dear avengers crew, I guess we can go to Nigeria now!”
