Brothers - Introduction
Intro
"Raymond" he looked up "Raymond I swear this is the last straw, I'm tired" Isabel said as she walked into the consulting room, she presently was on her light blue scrub, being on call for that day in another department in the private hospital they worked.
She leaned on the examination table and put her head downwards as tears formed in her eyes, Raymond stopped his writing and dropped his pen. He had just finished seeing a patient and had been jotting down his findings, he wasn't surprised to see her because apart from the fact that they worked in the same hospital it was a normal thing for her to come to him in tears, his brother and his girlfriend always had issues and she usually came to him to complain as they were quite close, he stared at her now as he wondered what his brother had done this time.
She finally pulled herself together, and sat on the chair opposite him, fetched a tissue and cleaned her eyes
"What has he done this time?" he asked leaning back to listen, while knowing it would be the norm
She looked up, her eyes were red as she began "He told me he was out of town so I thought he was busy that's why he's not been picking my calls.... but.." she paused "I saw him with another woman when I went to the supermarket this afternoon"
Raymond sighed "Well did you confront him?" he asked taking up his pen again
"How could I, I didn't want to embarrass myself as usual...I don't know why he's treating me like this"
Raymond sighed, he didn't know either, his brother had the hottest girlfriend in the world, who was also a medical doctor, they had been dating since university days and he knew his brother was planning to propose soon but Richard was a chronic womanizer, everybody knew that, it was just sad he had a girlfriend who was in love with him.
"I don't know why he acts like that but maybe you both just need to sit and talk it out"
"I've tried talking to him severally Raymond but he just denies it" she cleaned her eyes again" and it always leads to a fight "
"Hmm, so what do you want me to do?" he asked, he was busy and didn't need this right now, his brother's business wasn't his business
"Maybe you can help me talk to him Raymond..tell him..that I love him and he's hurting me so much" she paused "maybe he doesn't love me" she said in resignation looking down
Raymond rolled his eyes
"He does, why would you even say something like that...my brother loves you to bits" he assured her
"But you treat your girlfriend better, you guys hardly have any issues"
He chuckled, hand on his face, he wondered why he and his brother were always compared like they were supposed to be the same because they looked alike
"That's not true....Jess and I "he paused" let's just say my relationship's not so perfect "
"I do everything for Richard....I don't know why he treats me like this" she was tearing up again
He waited till she pulled herself together, then he reached and took her hand
"My brother loves you, I don't know why he acts like this...but I ll try and talk to him"
She smiled, then she stood up
"Sorry I had to come in like that, I know you have patients to see and all"
"It's no problem Is...anytime" he smiled at her as she walked away, wondering how he was going to speak to his brother on her behalf because right now they weren't on speaking terms.
*Okay I know I had said no new story for now but this is a story I just started because I don't have anything doing right now, let me know what you think in the comment box below
