Forever, Mitchell - Episode 26

I gulp when he gets into the bed with me, He's shirtless and wearing just a boxer brief.

I know I've talked alot about his face, and how handsome he looks but gawd the man is ripped, his thighs could split wood.

It's been 3 days since we made out and it's been like he's been going out of his way to expose more skin than normal. 

Just yesterday he came out of the bathroom completely nude,making his way to get the towel. 

He saw me watching and all he did was tighten the knot on his towel, as if he expected me to jump and have my wicked way with him. 

Back to the present, he settles into the bed and gets his tab, I'm really not conversant with his works but it's obvious he works alot. 

I settle back into the bed, giving him my back. 

"What are you doing?" He asks and I turn around. 

"I was going to go to sleep" I say. 

"Stay up with me" He says and I frown. 

"Why?" 

"I'm frustrated, you don't get to sleep while I can't" 

"You are frustrated? Why?" 

He doesn't respond. 

"Don't tell me... Are you feeling s*xually frustrated right now?" I ask, appalled, while secretly thrilled, is he going to kiss me again? 

"Get over your self, you've been acting like a virgin since I kissed you, don't think I haven't noticed" 

"What? Me? I have so not been acting like anything" I say, my face flaming, how on earth did he guess that right?

He lifts himself up on one hand and watches me for a while, I try to look at everywhere but at him. 

"Are you a Virgin?" He asks matter of factly that I almost choke on my spit. 

"Of course not! I'm experienced! I've done things with guys, although I'm sure I am no where as experienced as you are" 

He gets a look on his face and I gulp. 

"I don't want to hear anything about anything that you've done with anyone, clear?" He asks and I nod. 

He goes back to his tab and I lie back down, this time facing him. 

I begin to feel sleepy and I close my eyes for a moment, I feel my body settling into a warmth and I let it. 

Cuddling with Xavier is not so bad

. He holds me tighter and I burrow into his chest. 

He lifts my face with one hand and I sleepily raise my head, his lips brushes mine and I kiss him back. 

He chuckles when I bite his lip. 

"Claim all you want Bambi, but you want me" He says and I'm too sleepy to respond.

From a distance I hear his phone ringing and his body stiffens. 

He gently extracts me from his arms, I want to protest but I don't say a word, I let him go. 

This change in our relationship is too fragile for me to hope on, he's still the same Xavier Knox he was last week. 

As I hear the door close I go back to sleep, unconsciously asking him to come back home quickly.

The banging of the door jolts me awake, I stare blearily at the clock and I see its just past 4 in the morning. 

I look towards the sound of the noise and Xavier is there, kneeling on the floor. 

He looks perfectly normal, as if he tripped and fell but when he raises his head I see that his white hair is stained with blood and that the scar on his face is prominent against his now pale skin. 

"Xavier?" I ask, standing from the bed and walking to him. 

He's bleeding all over the floor. 

"Stay back" He says when I reach a hand towards him. 

"Xavier, you are hurt, where are you hurt? Let me see" I say but his hand is still up. 

A cart wheels through the open door and madam K is there. 

She gets down on her kneels and immediately starts unbuttoning his sleeve, Xavier let's her. 

I twist my night shirt in my finger, trying to hold back whatever this is that I'm feeling. 

She throws me a look as she turns to get a gauze from the cart, she looks smug. 

I turn my eyes to Xavier, his eyes are closed, I look to his wound and I see what must have been a knife wound. 

Where did he go to and how did he get himself hurt to this point? 

Just another injury that is going to mar his beautiful skin. 

I watch as madam K cleans and wrap the wound, she's doing everything to touch as much skin as she can and it makes me mad. 

When she gets the towel and starts to give him a dry bath I hold her hand.

How I got to my knees before them I don't know. 

"I will take it from here" I say and the sound of my voice brings Xavier's eyes open. 

"Mitchell..." 

"I can take care of my husband, thank you Katherine" I say, grabbing the towel from her and watching her leave before turning to Xavier. 

He's watching me but I don't say a word, I just clean up the blood from his body and bring him some aspirin. 

He grabs my hand when I go to walk by him but I pull away. 

I don't want to admit how much it hurt me that he didn't let me take care of him. 

I don't even know why I am mad, after all he's still the bastard who ruined my life.
