Forgetting You - Episode 27

*** JASON'S POV.

I wake up two hours later with Hailey and I tangled between the crumpled sheets.

I was so exhausted after making such vigorous love with her, something I haven't done in a long time.

I stare at her peaceful face and she looks so innocent.

She didn't look so innocent when we were getting on with it a while ago.

Hailey stirred slightly and wraps her arms around me.

I smile and plant a kiss to her lips.

She smiles in her sleep.

I sigh. I really have to go.

Tomorrow is the duel and I'm not half way finished with my plan.

I have to get everything ready before tomorrow.

With great difficulty, I pry her away and get down, searching for my briefs.

Finding it, I pick it up and wear it.

I pick up all my clothes and get dressed.

Done, I grab my glasses from the floor which was thankfully not broken after Hailey threw it away and put it on.

"Jason?"

Hailey calls out and I turn to find her seated with her back against the headboard, rubbing her eyes.

"Hey"

I scratch my head.

"You're leaving aren't you? You regret what happened right?"

She looks down at her fingers, playing with the hem of the sheets around her body.

I curse myself for trying to leave without a goodbye.

"Hey"

I walk back to the bed and sit by her.

"I didn't and will never regret ever making love to you. Never Hailey"

I cup her face and kiss her, she instantly kisses me back

"Don't leave me please"

she pleads in a small voice gripping my shirt.

My heart sinks as I notice her vulnerability.

"I'm doing this for you"

I say and her lips immediately begin to quiver.

Sh*t! Curse myself for making her cry.

I sigh.

Time is running out,I really have to go.

Reaching out, I pull off the head band and my hair falls freely over my shoulders.

I pull her close and tie the head band around her braids.

Then I take off my necklace, the necklace given to me by my sister and put it around her neck.. She c*resses the pendant around her neck and stares up at me.

"This will always be a reminder that I'll come back to you. I'll come back to you safe and sound. This necklace around your neck,is a sign of my promise"

I say to her and she hugs me tightly..

"I'll wait for you Jason. I'll wait"

she whispers and I feel content.

Sated and satiated.

I pull back and my eyes goes to her lips.

"May I kiss you?"

"I think we've gone past that level don't you think?"

She replies and I chuckle.

I lean in to kiss her one more time before letting go..

"I'll come back you and Olivia"

without waiting for a reply I walk out.

It was half past 11:00am when Jason arrived at the home of Doctor Frank.

Jason fishes out for his phone and dials his number.

"I'm in your compound Frank, open up"

he says and hangs up. Soon he heard footsteps and the door was opened.

Frank regarded him for a few seconds before opening the door wider to let him in.

"What brings you here? I have an afternoon shift and I need to be at the hospital in an hour's time"

he says as he takes a seat.

"I know. I won't waste much time. I just need your help"

Frank states intently at him and then frowns.

"This can't be good can it?"

Jason chuckles "Depends"

"Shoot"

"I don't have a gun"

"Don't be stupid. You know what I meant"

"Yh yh fine. Actually I need you place a call to my father and tell him you need his company to supply your hospital with some medicines"

Frank narrows his eyes.

"First of all,the hospital doesn't belong to me. Secondly, I do not work in the pharmaceutical department to place such an order"

"Thirdly you're my friend"

Jason adds and Frank rolls his eyes at that.

"You're stupid you know that?"

"I know Frank"

"And you're an Idiot"

"I know,now will you help me Monsieur?"

Frank sighs and stares at Jason.

. "I can't say no can I?"

"Precisely"

"Tell me, what kind of drugs do you want me to get for you because I'm sure you're not planning on donating to the hospital"

"Adenosine"

Jason grins and Frank immediately chokes.

"What?!!! Do you know what that drug is used for?!!"

"Nope but I know what it can do"

"Then let me lighten you,you stupid man. Adenosine is a drug used for conversion to sinus rhythm of paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia (PSVT), including that associated with accessory bypass tracts (Wolff-parkinson white syndrome)"

"Okay okay. Enough of the medical terms could you use common everyday English so I can understand?"

Jason asks in exasperation.

The doctor sighs in frustration.

"In other words, Adenosine drug is one which is used to normalise a persons heartbeat with the PSVT condition. PSVT is a condition where there is rapid or fast increase in the heart rate caused by electrical impulses from above the heart."

Jason grins. Perfect.

"And how does this Adenosine work doctor?".

"It works by stopping the heart from beating totally temporarily, approximately six to ten seconds and then the heart begins to beat normally again."

The doctor explains.

"Good. Please get that drug for me today Frank please man. Just call my dad and tell him you need it urgently for an operation"

Frank eyes Jason as if he was going crazy but then he suddenly gasps when he realises what Jason needed that drug for especially when he knew Jason wasn't sick at all.

"No. Don't.. Don't.... tell me you're planning on faking your death by using that drug to stop your heart from beating for a few seconds?? Don't tell me Jason!"

Jason stares at his friend and then smirks.

"You guessed correctly dear Friend"

Had to make tons of research for this chapter.

So Jason made arrangements for a bulletproof jacket, and is planning on faking his death.

All for a woman's freedom.

What can you do for love? For me, I used to jump our wall just to meet up with this guy. I even broke my leg one time.
