Forgetting You - Episode 36

** Hank Anderson lay on the king sized bed in his inner chamber grinning satisfactorily as he stares at his cell phone while two of his girls massaged him.

On the screen was the photo of a man wearing a bloodstained jean jacket and trousers.

His face was mutilated and unrecognizable.

The blogger who posted the story claimed the man was found floating on the river nearest to fiery park.

There had been several bullet wounds on him and several bruises.

Hank grins wider. Perfect.

He logs out of Facebook and throws the phone somewhere in the room not bothering to open the link and read the entire story.

After all he knew who the supposed dead man was.

He sighs in content and turns on his side.

Jack strolls in just then

"Good morning boss"

"Morning Jack. Any news?"

"Nick seeks your audience sir"

"Let him in" "Right away boss"

Jack nods and exits. 

A slightly bulky man enters.

"Nick! My boy. Any news? Where's Hailey?"

He grins.

Nick bows his head refusing to meet Hank's eyes.

"Nick? I asked you a question"

Silence.

"I asked you a question and you dare reply me with silence? Speak!!"

He thunders

"I.. I couldn't find her..."

Nick answers.

'You couldn't find her and you dare return to me with empty hands?"

Nick didn't finish speaking when Hank pulls out a gun from under his pillow in a swift move and fires at him.

Nick didn't have time to react as the bullet Rips through his skull and he drops, blood seeping from in between his eyes, his eyes wide opened in shock.

The girls scream in fright at the horrible scene.

"Stop screaming like sissies will ya? Get out and tell Jack to come clean this mess!"

Hank screams at the girls who rush out as fast as their legs could carry them.

HAILEY'S POV.

No! I step away clutching Olivia tighter to me and I feel her arms go around my neck as she rests her head on my shoulder.

Olivia is mine.

My baby.

Mine alone.

I stare at Madeleine who has that arrogant smirk on her face as she dangles the phone in front of me.

No.

I can't let this happen.

They can't find out I have a child.

I stare at Jason on the bed.

He fought for me. He fought for Olivia. 

A realisation hits me.. If Jason could do this much, why can't I do the same? Why can't I fight for my rights too? Why can't I fight for my baby too? I'm a mother. I'm no longer a girl.

I'm a woman now,a mother.

And a mother will do anything for her children's safety.

A mother will do anything.

Everything.

I watch as Madeleine types something on her phone and I hear the faint sound indicating the number she just dialed is ringing.

I fume.

This is my chance.

To save my daughter.. I'm not going to cower in fear anymore.. I'm not alone.

I have Jason, Olivia, Alex and Theresa.

In a swift motion, I reach out and slap the phone away from the unsuspecting Madeleine's hand and the phone falls, shattering.

Madeleine looks up at me in shock and before she could react I quickly drop Olivia gently onto the bed near Jason and spin around so fast I feel dizzy.

And then I slap her so hard that my palms hurt.

Madeleine holds her face in shock but I'm not yet done.

Oh I'm not..she's so gonna pay.

"How dare..."

She begins, probably to rant but I grab both her hands and twist them behind her.

For the first time I'm glad to be putting Hank's training tactics to use.

Madeleine groans and cusses.

Back at the mansion, Hank stood on the balcony of his chamber frowning as he stares at his phone.

Madeleine just called.

Sighing, he taps on his screen redialing her number.

Unreachable.. He frowns.

He dials the number again.. It goes straight to voicemail.

Why would Madeleine call him and put off her phone?. Hissing, Hank drops the phone and walks into his chambers for some wine.

HAILEY'S POV

Hearing the commotion, Alex steps inside the ward looking intimidating.

"What's going on he... Oh.. The such spoilt brat is here to harass Jason again.. Hmm"

Alex says mockingly tapping his jaw as if in deep thought.

"Show some respect bastard!"

Madeleine sneers and I twist her hands Harder making her wince.

"Respect? Show respect to a girl who literally has no self respect?. Interesting"

Alex laughs

"Anyway would you like me to get rid of her? Because my fingers are itching to do so"

I shake my head

"thank you but no. This is my battle. please take Olivia outside. I don't want her witnessing what I'm about to do"

I say and Alex smirks.

"I think I finally understand why my friend loves you so much"

he says and carries Olivia along with him shutting the door behind.

I blush.

"You think Jason loves you? The cheek of it!"

Madeleine snorts and I twist her arms harder.

I turn to see Theresa giving me questioning looks.

I sigh and proceed to tell her how I know Madeleine and how she's made my life miserable.

When I'm done, Tess turns angry eyes to Madeleine.

"Why are you here?"

She seethes and I smile.

I have a feeling Tess and I gonna be very good friends.

"To see my fiance of course"

she rolls her eyes...

"Fiancé?"

I ask in confusion and Madeline grins at me..

"Yes. We were supposed to get married a while ago but it was postponed. Didn't he tell you? Oh poor you!"

She mocks and I furrow my eyebrows.

Marriage? Postponed?. Ha! I remember now.

So it was her... The lying bitch.

"Oh so it was you? The one Jason was supposed to get married to three years back but then he jilted and left you at the alter in the middle of the wedding?" 

I grin.

"Oh so it was you? You're Sarah? Ha!"

Theresa joins in and I see Madeleine's earlier grin turn into a deep frown.

She might as well kiss my ass.

"You're pathetic! Throwing yourself at a man who obviously doesn't want you!"

I spit.

"And you think Jason wants you instead? Just because he took care of your baby? You must be delusional to think that. Jason is not your type. He's way out of your league. You're just a lowlife, pathetic helpless drug addict and a sex object for Jack with a good for nothing thing you call a child. That thing you call a baby was the product of your numerous sexcapades with Jack. Remember how he forced himself on you that day? Yep. The end result is that lowlife you call a child. She's....."

Okay that's it! I release my hold on her and slap her hard.. She can insult me all she wants but I won't let her badmouth Olivia.

Theresa takes my stance behind her and twists her arms behind her making her helpless..

"You will not insult my daughter. Not today or ever"

I spit and slap her again.. Suddenly the memories of all those days when she tried to make my life miserable flashes before my eyes and I see red.

I slap her again and again and again until she spits blood.

I step away and pick up her phone from the floor. 

I insert the battery which had fallen out and switch it on.

As soon as it comes on,I go to her message icon and tap in it.. I type in the boss number and type my message.

Done,I show it to her to read and her eyes immediately widens.

Fear registering in them.

"No. Don't. Please don't send that message. The boss will kill me.

She pleads and for the first time I bask in someone's helplessness.

As soon as I press the send button and the boss receives the message, he'll haunt her down.

"Who knew Madeline had it in her to plead for mercy.How does it feel to be the helpless one? I will make sure you pay for trying to tell the boss about Olivia. You made a grave mistake by involving my daughter in this. I'm not just a girl anymore. I'm a woman now. A mother. And I'll do anything for daughter. Anything. Even if I have to kill. I will gladly do it without blinking. For my daughter"

I scowl at her and then press the send button, sending the message instantly. I sit back down as Theresa holds Madeleine down and wait for the show to begin.

After I'm done with her, she'll never mess with my Olivia ever again.
