Phoenix Reborn: My True Brother - Episode 8
Chapter 8
Six months later..
The head of the research facility gets the call he'd been waiting for for months now.
"How is she fairing?"
"Perfectly. I'm impressed by my team's ingenuity."
"What about the other sample. Did it work?"
"Unfortunately no, Amin's mother's body was destroyed in the blast that killed her. We couldn't find any cell to bring back and use for the regeneration."
"Fine, we'll be returning to Kenya soon. Have her send to the house. We'll meet her there," he says and terminates the call. He'd hoped to be able to bring both women back to life. Such a shame.

Two days later...
"So how does it feel to finally be back home?" Amin asks Jay as the jet touches down at the Wilson airstrip.
"Better than expected. I didn't realize just how much I missed this place until just now," she replies looking out the window. It had been almost two years since she left. Not much had changed but it seemed like everything was different.
She turned to her dad, "Will we have to leave again?"
" Not for a while or as much or even for long periods. You two will be living and continuing your education from here

. I already bought the house."
"Awesome!" Amin says excitedly. He didn't like always travelling with his father. Dee smiles and takes off her seatbelt. For some reason, her heart kept missing beats ever since he told them they were coming back. 'Maybe it's just the excitement of being back home,' she kept telling herself. She was in for a big surprise, she just didn't know it yet.
.....................
Back in Jerusalem, the facility is being quickly evacuated. Mossad had gotten intelligence reports of potential terrorist activities at the compound and planned a raid. However their inside man had given them a little warning, they'd however only had time to destroy the paperwork and not pack up the machine by the time the officers arrived. Considering how efficient those guys can be, they were lucky to get all the personnel out in time. Fortunately or unfortunately, they hadn't had time to bring back more people.
.................
Amin opened the door to their new home excited to be back. The fact that they would be staying here was an added bonus. If anything, considering this is one of the most corrupt country in the planet, at least according to the latest corruption polls, he was surprised his dad had not chosen to make it the base of operations. Oh well, the plus side was with the operations outside the country, it remained pure and most importantly, safe to move around. He'd kind of gotten tired of being confined to his father's compounds.
"Hello!" His tracks were stopped by the most beautiful voice he'd ever heard. He stopped smack center at the door Dee ran into him.

. She hadn't seen or heard her yet.
"C'mon bro, move, I need to..." The rest of whatever she was going to say evaporated as soon as she saw her. There stood the one person she'd ever truly loved more than life itself. The one person she hadn't thought she'd ever see again. The woman smiled, it was still as breathtaking as she remembered.
"Mom?! I don't understand... how's this..."
"Surprise!" Amir said coming up behind them. They both turned to look at him.
"Welcome home! Come inside," she told them calmly, "My name is Narayan Abdul. You can call me Naya. I'll be your caretaker from now on."
"What's even going on here," she asks breathless. It was almost as if all her energy had been drained. Between the flight and now this shock, her head was spinning and the last thing she remembered seeing before hitting the ground was her mom catching her. The last thought before she blacked out was, 'Her hands are still as soft as I remember.'
