Phoenix Reborn: My True Brother - Episode 2
She'd been walking for hours, dawn had slowly broken as she made her hike with the rest of the people looking to earn a living. She broke of from the rest as soon as they got to the city center and started wondering about to see who would hire a five year old. So far, nothing. She was so tired her head was spinning. She knew if she didn't rest, she'd soon pass out, one store caught her attention for some reason, Twinkle Jewelers, the sign read. However, just by looking at it, she knew they'd never give her a job. So she walked to the alley on it's side and looked around, empty. She sighed and walked close to the garbage bin and sat down. The cold hard floor and wall seemed inviting enough. Her feet were killing her. Just as she was about to welcome the sweet nothingness that beckoned her, the door on the side of the building she was laying against opened, someone was coming out of the store. She prayed they won't spot her and chase her away because she couldn't go any further. A man walked out, followed by his son, they were about to pass her when someone else came out of the same door and called back the man. "Stay here," he told the boy and went back to the door. They then started speaking in a language she didn't understand. Just as she was about to dismiss them knowing they hadn't spotted her, the boy looked in her direction and saw her

. He walked toward her and stretched out his hand to her, "Hello, my name is Amin, what's yours?" The boy seemed slightly older than her. He had this aurora about him that made her trust him. "Olivia... M...my name is Olivia," she replied weakly taking his hand. It was shaking, more from the exhaustion and hunger than anything else. "Olivia, pretty name, where are your parents Olivia?" He asked her again. The pain flashed across her face so suddenly you would have thought he struck her.
"I don't have parents," she said looking away. He was quite for a while, " I know how you feel, my mom died a year ago. It was the worst pain I ever felt. At least I still have my dad. I don't know what I'd do without him."
"Lucky you, my dad left over a year ago. I haven't seen him since. Honestly, I hope I never do."
"Why?"
"I don't know.

. Maybe if he was around when mom got sick he'd have helped me save her, maybe she wouldn't have gotten sick. All I know is he wasn't there and I'll never forgive him for it... I don't even know why I'm telling you this. I don't even know you."
He smiled, " I tend to have that effect on women."
She laughed. "Amin!" His father called to him. He'd been listening in on them while speaking to his man. He was sure the man had not even noticed his son had been talking to anyone but with his superior training and skills, he'd been aware of everything happening in that alley. "Let's go now."
"I hope we'll meet again friend," he told her and straightened. That statement stung his father's heart. His son had become withdrawn since the death of his mother. This was the first full conversation he'd heard him have with anyone. He was however not sure if the girl was trustworthy so he decided to test her.
