Pierced Rose - Episode 40

Reginah  took a warm shower, the imagination of Isabelle beside Brad's bed making out playing vividly in her head. She  needed calming of the soul and tranquility inside or she was gonna kill somebody.

She wore some pair of  blue Mamie jeans shorts, a white tank top and pink flats shoes. A simple touch of lip gloss on her lips, a loose bun, her phone and bag pack and off she went to Maggie's place. They had to come up with various ideas to get Brad back.

Her biggest problem seemed solved by Aunty Bilu but she was still worried about Brad when he finally learns about her past and his dad. He was gonna break inside. She wasnt sure Brad was strong to take it.

When she got in, everyone looked sad. Her heart begun hammering on her chest, "What's wrong guys?" She could  feel every emotion escaping her, shaking off all the crazy thoughts she had.

"I am sorry dear, I didn't know." Mary sobered as she run towards her and hugged her. Crying profusely on her shoulders.

"You scaring me dear?" Reginah stuttered rubbing her back.
After a while she pulled back, "Sorry about Jayson and your dad. Maggie told us everything." She wiped her tears with the back of her hand.

"Everything???" Reginah sent Maggie a deadly glare.
"Don't worry not everything.." Maggie said hugging her.
"But you could have asked me before doing that???"

"I had to Riri, they have to know what you been through. We are your friends and we wanna be there for you." Maggie mused holding her by the shoulders.

"Is she also my friend?" Reginah inquired pointing at the girl from the hospital.
"Oooh, that is Brad's cousin Patience," Maggie replied with a genuine smile," She is also my friend from Italy."

Reginah pushed Maggie and Mary aside slightly and walked to where Patience was, "Hey there," taking her hand in hers, "I love Brad not Jayson. That coward is his sh-t of business if he didn't delete those pictures but to me he is a good as dead. I regret it please tell Brad to come back to me I love him not that spoilt Barbie doll. I want his back." Her jaw was hard by the thought of Isabelle. 

By now she looked like a whipped a-s fool crazy in love?? Yes in love. She wanted it all my dears. All of it.

Patience's other hand was placed in her mouth as she laughed. Mary and Maggie were there their arms placed on each other's shoulders looking at the scene Reginah just pulled.

"I know you love him, sorry I blew it up in the hospital. But you messed it up with the lie. He didn't explain  much but he was hurt when you rejected him and humiliated him before the school and Peter. But it seems you love him and I will help you get him back." Patience rose her  spirits up hugging her and Mary and Maggie joined in. 

"Tell us what happened?" Patience requested holding her hand as they sat on the sofa. Both her and Maggie sat beside her while Mary on the carpet in front of her.
Patience hand on hers gave her hope, all would be well.

Reginah's voice came out rather embarrassingly breathless, "I was stupid. I thought he would always be there. I was afraid of losing him when he finds out about Jayson. I always looked for excuses to hurt him but I want him back.."

"Your mum Kara thought we weren't a match and so she threatened to terminate my scholarship if I don't leave him alone." Her shoulders heaved with sob.

Reginah was a smart one, she had to act up like the victim to get Brad back and Patience seemed convinced.

"Wait," Patience stammered standing up," you mean my aunt threatened you?" She begun clenching and unclenching her fists.

Reginah nodded, biting her lip to resist crying.

"She has  gone to far, that woman is crazy you know "She yelled, hands in the air then akimbo. "I am gonna have to tell Brad about this," she swore, reaching for her phone in her clutch. 

"Yes girl do it," Maggie seconded her, Mary nodding in agreement.
"Guys, no." Reginah pleaded snatching the phone from Patience's hand," I don't wanna destroy a son's mother's relationship."

"Screw her Riri, she wanna evoke your scholarship. She ain't minding your mama. Who are you to mind her?" Patience barked shaking her head side to side, the middle finger in the air.

"I know, but with you guys we will conquer it all." Reginah riposted with a small smile. It seemed her plan was working.

"Dear, we will have to tell Brad soon, the reason you avoided him," Patience suggested, "I love you already b-tch." Patience confessed hugging Reginah again.

"Guys is it me alone or is Riri's story like a soap opera?" Mary trilled scratching her head. Maggie smacked her arm  so hard that she let out a sharp cry, "learn to filter your mouth girl."

"Is it the right time to ask if Brad would forgive Riri, she really messed up big time?" Mary opened her big mouth again. They all sent her irritated glances.

"I should filter my mouth and go get sodas." She said running to the kitchen.

"We gonna give you a makeover and drive you to Brad's apartment. He was discharged from the hospital today morning." Patience twinkled, her hands in the air as she danced.

Mary comes running ranting girl power but falls on her ass making all of them burst out loud. That girl needed a mental check up, I repeat a mental check up.

Extreme makeover, concealer, foundation, powder, eyeliner, eye shadow, bronze,  primer, red lipstick can really do wonders. Reginah looked as a goddess. She later changed to a bare back white dress with the black stilettos Maggie bought for her.

They arrived at Brad's apartment building. At the parking lot, she could feel her  intestines knot. 

She was anxious, her lower lip was trembling." Text us, if you wanna sleep over." Maggie teased high fiving Patience and Mary.

She walked through the corridors to Brad's apartment without feeling her legs, rehearsing the apology letter she had written in her mind.

She  knocked at the door three times but nobody opened up. When she lifted her hand for the forth knock, she heard footsteps. 

She  felt fear begin like a cluster of spark plugs in her abdomen.

"Hey,what are you doing here???" Brad stuttered looking at the chocolate goddess who was standing infront of him. She was beautiful, she looked like a model from vogue magazine...

"What do you want Reginah????" His words made her nostrils flare. She dressed all up for him and all he could ask was what she was doing there instead of throwing some compliments.

Reginah opened her mouth to say something but nothing came up, anger growing in her face. Taking deep breaths, she took his hand, "Let me come in, let me explain. I want to make things right. I love you so much. I have realised you mean the world to me. I need you."  

"How is your wound doing???" Reginah tried to touch the bandage on his head  but he moves his head to the side.
"Its too late, go back to Jayson. You love him right?" In his angry voice, she felt like he knew she loved him but didn't wanna believe it.
"No, I love you Brad..Jayson is my past. He broke my heart big time.."
"Why did you not tell me about you two, why did you not tell me about your past???" Reginah could feel pain, disappointment behind his voice.
"I was scared of losing you after you would find out the truth. I was scared.." Reginah cried out.

Brad almost slammed  the door on her face but she  placed her hand on the door. Let's see if he was so inhuman to press her hand. 

Reginah couldn't believe she  was here's begging a man. Love look what you made her do.

"What do you want?" He hissed, his eyes as cold as ice.
"You, I want you. I love you Brad," Her hands clutching his vest, the muscles of her chin trembling, reaching for his lips  but he tilts his head back.

She tries cupping his face wanting to kiss him but he resists.
"I love you Brad."
"What about Jayson???" Brad yelled.
"He is my past, he left me without any goodbye and I will never forgive him.." Reginah thundered clenching her jaw.
"What if he explains himself, would you go back to him???"
"Nothing would ever change my hate for him."
"Don't be too sure until you hear the side of his story.."
"But I love you.."

"You need to leave!!!!" he ordered before he could close the door, Isabelle stood there beside him with his bathrobe," Brad popcorns are served." She whispered.

Reginah could swear she wanted to give her a beating, that was her man she was messing with..

Brad gave Isabelle a surprise look before returning his gaze to Reginah. Reginah  quickly wrapped her arms on her chest.  Isabelle's face was one of the triumph and Brad didn't  have the decency to be embarrassed, why  should he? She pushed him away but she wasn't gonna give up.

She would never compete with a girl who took her life direction  from fashion magazines, starved herself and was more self absorbed than a tadpole tail.
"I will let you two go back to what you doing," Reginah said with disgust. That girl was finally written on her book of hate.

Isabelle got back in and Brad was left there looking down,"I will get going Brad.."

"Yeah, you should go now and so you know,  you look beautiful. Like a goddess. I almost didn't recognise you. If your plan was to please me, you succeeded." Brad beamed, Reginah gave him  a light kiss on the forehead then she  walked away. She was craving for real, wild, passionate kisses but she needed to work her moves right.
