Pierced Rose - Episode 41

You don't always get what you want in life. Sometimes you just get the best out of what you didn't expect.

Reginah wanted more, Brad and her getting back together putting all the bullsh-t behind them. She  had her hopes up that he would pull her in, pin her on the wall, kiss her till she was breathless.

Drop her  dress down and make love to her. Get some dinner, sit at the balcony watching the stars, planning about the future like they had a clue about or maybe dancing barefoot on the grass with her between his arms.

She walked down the parking lot, sadness blown towards her. Although that barbie doll was  trying so hard to seduce her man, he only loved her. Only her, very soon she was gonna teach her a lesson. Nobody flirts with her man.

"Girl, you back so soon. I was to send a packet of cond-ms to you guys."  Patience teased as  Reginah got into the back seat.
They all laughed and she ignored them with an eye roll.

"Tell us what happened?" Maggie asked curiously rubbing her hands while Mary screamed with excitement. Almost explaining everything, Patience was half way getting out of the car.

"Where are you going?" Reginah asked running after her. Those heels were  hurting her so bad.
"What wrong girl?" She insisted getting hold of her hand.
"What else??? I am gonna f-cking whip her a-s. She is a messed desperate..."
"Whore barbie doll." Reginah finished it off and  both of them laughed like crazy.

"On a serious note, let's get out of here. I trust Brad," Reginah assured her resting her hand on her shoulder.
"Come here strong girl," Patience hugged  her tightly.

Mary ran to them  and whispered something in Patience's ear making her  to quickly pull Reginah into the car.

"Next time you make me run after you with heels, am gonna kill you." Reginah took off her heels and  placed inside of one heel on Mary's nose.
"It smells like fart," Mary  pressed  her nose.
Reginah giggled, tickling her so hard.
"Stop it," She cried farting.

Reginah noticed Patience and Mary were busy on Patience's phone and they  kinda threw each other tensed glances. 

The walk to the apartment was kinda long, they were hesitant to walk and also to unlock the apartment. Was there a zombie attack in that apartment and no one cared to tell her?.

Reginah pushed them aside and unlocked the door, only to find the devil himself seated on the couch. If she  made eye contact with him, she would vomit. Her hatred for him doesn't ebb it multiplies.

"What are you doing here dude?" Reginah thundered hitting him with Patience handbag that she was carrying.
"They think its a better idea for me to tell you the truth."Jayson stood up rubbing his arm.

"Nowanda you were all tensed, you said you gonna help me get Brad back. Is this your idea?" She  yelled turning to them, shaking her head in fury.

"Listen to him for Christ's sake, give the poor guy a chance please. I also did why not you." Maggie urged raising her voice on her something that made her flinch.

"Speak up am listening?" Reginah tried to sound as calm as possible.
"I didn't leave, I didn't want to." He spoke out looking down.
"You didn't want what?" Reginah quizzed signalling him to repeat the f-cking damn sh-t statement.

"I didn't wanna leave you," he pushed her patience to the limits and all she knows is that she begun slapping and punching him. She even thought  she bit him. Jayson did nothing but let her vent all her anger for him on him.

Patience and Mary pulled her aside, "Were you brought up in the wild?" Mary queried standing between Jayson and her.

A serious angry look on Reginah's face, was enough for Mary to meme the zip my mouth throw the key thing. Yah.

"You didn't want to, I loved you and all you did was wake up one day and dump me, "Anger was churning within, hunger for destruction. She wanted to tell him all the harsh words to at least let go the pain she suppressed for six years.

She took the heel from her side and threw at him not remembering he was good at basketball so he caught it.
"I wanna kill you so badly for leaving me all alone and lonely . I hate you."She cried out yelling at him, "all you did was give me empty promises." Reginah begun breaking down by the memory of it.

"I was a coward not brave enough to share it with the girl who meant the world to me. I had to undergo chemotherapy," Jayson yelled  on top of his voice hands in the air defenceless,"I didn't wanna tell you because I thought you would be heartbroken."

Reginah blinked not once, not twice but thrice. Muscles suddenly felt tight and her knees weak, She pushed Maggie and Patience aside and staggered to the sofa.

"Now I understand why you stopped working out, excuses not to cycle, never stood for long, the never ending headaches. You had cancer and there I was teasing you." Reginah lamented, hands covering her face as the beads of waters fell one after the other."

"I preferred you feeling the pain of a heartbreak than your boyfriend dying. I didn't wanna hurt you. I was scared of how you would take it. I thought i would die, second stage acute leukemia was no joke. I needed urgent treatment. Please forgive me, I can't take it you hating me more." He sobered kneeling. His head on her laps and his hands holding onto her legs,"Reginah am sorry," he continued. 

Reginah  was more guilty than mad. She wasn't sure either to comfort him or push him away. Her mind was in Zero level.

"I wanna be alone for a while," She push ex him off me and ran away, slamming into the bathroom door. Maggie wanted to run after her but Patience held her back, she needed time alone..

She pressed her head against the door and begun to let her heart yank in and out her chest.

She didn't wanna sob silently or in the dark. She wanted it all out. All the hate suddenly disappeared and it was filled with guilt.
She fell in love with another guy.
She couldn't wait for him longer.

His cry was of love, reaching out for forgiveness. Weight of blaming him not knowing what he was going through, turned  her into living a nightmare. He wanted to protect her, she  wished he had told her. They  would have gone through it together but he just left. It still cuts just as deep but less frequent and softer the duration. She  sat down crying until her whole body shook.

"Guys I need a strong drink?" Reginah wiped her tears while she  pushed her wobbly legs forward to the living room.
"Are you now okay???" Maggie asked hugging her and she did was nod.

Reginah walked towards Jayson who was looking down guiltily, "Jay, I am sorry for all you had to go through.." Reginah took his hand biting her lip not to break down.

"I was mad thinking you left. I was wrong. I am sorry I didn't wait for you. I am sorry I feel in love with Brad..." By now Reginah's face was wet with tears.

"It's okay Renah, I was a co...." Reginah placed a finger on his lips, "You fought over cancer and you won. You are a hero, Renah's hero.."

"Do you forgive me???? I am sorry.. I am sorry for the harsh words, rude comments.. I am sorry..." Reginah begun sobbing out loud that Jayson hugged her.

It was a hug that symbolised pity, guilt, sympathy and pain.

"I forgive you Renah and I will help you win Brad back.." Jayson assured.
"Thank you," Reginah pulled back, "Thank you girls, that's one burden off my shoulders. I am grateful." Maggie wiped her tears while Patience and Mary just smiled. 

They did  their  group hug forcing Jayson in. Only the strong forgive.

"You should thank Patience, it was her idea.." Maggie said.
"Thank you dear..." Reginah said hugging Patience once more.
"I knew there was a misunderstanding and I had to fix it.."

"Girls, I need to go home and rest. It has been a rough day.." Reginah said softly.
"Can I give you a ride home??" Jayson smiled.
"Sure Jay."

"Of course not, What will Brad say??? I will drive you.." Patience retorted taking her handbag.

"Thank you Jay for being alive and being patient with me..." Reginah hugged him once more before leaving with with Patience.
