Onome slept in the twins' room, she couldn't bring herself to be around that murderer. She heard the a clatter in the kitchen and she headed there. She saw Thompson on his knees with a knife driven into his stomach, behind him was Ufuoma with a smirk on her face, her [ Onome's ] steps faltered. "Ufuoma__ uhm Rose" Onome started, she gave her a death glare. "Please... Please" Onome went on her knees and clasped her hands together. Thompson was sweating and gasping, blood gushed out of his wound. "He didn't kill me... after he raped me I was saved by a good samarithan... the following day I killed myself" She said coldly, she knelt before Thompson and twisted the knife, removed it and stabbed him on the left shoulder. Thompson groaned in pain, he didn't fight her, he let her do whatever she wanted, he deserved it. "Don't worry, I'll leave your daughter, she's a nice person and so are you. I forgive your husband." With that Ufuoma fell to the ground.

Onome had narrated everything that happened to Ufuoma it took the help of multiple psychologists for her to come to terms with it, the ordeal had also brought the family closer to God. Ufuoma had not experienced any blackouts or wierd stuff. Strangely, Onome had visited the police station where the officers and even detective Kola stared at her like she was a crazy woman they had no record of Ufuoma in their files. Thompson kissed Onome bringing her back to reality and they watched their children play. "Mum, Dad come join!" Ejiro screamed. Thompson and Onome joined their children, Onome caught the ball with her hands and threw it towards Ufuoma. "Hey mum, that's against the rules " Ejiro and Fejiro chorused. Onome stuck out her tongue at them and they chased after her.
